Yeah my game with Fin-O made me realize I need to take care of the ball better. What sucks is that a lot of plays for whatever reason just dont seem to work. However I've realized I need to learn a few more anyway. I've completely stopped doing the things that were making me successful.

I pretty much just threw the ball up for grabs last game. Thats not happening again. I think with my defense if I dont turn it over I should be okay.

Looks like Chiefs won in OT against Denver, what a game. Games have been played quick too, just got three human games left.

 

Mor can we pleeeeease have a sub forum. Theres so many things I'd love to post that just deserve their own there but cluttering the gaming forum is dumb.

 

My offense has changed a lot since then, and my defense is pretty much the same, but I think I've gotten a lot better. Especially blitzing, I can really bring pressure now.

Nah my linebackers are just really fast, and I come from a lot of different places. So I'll user controll and blitz, someone will shift their line to block it, but this time I'll drop into coverage and it comes from the other side.

It's just really about trying to him them where they dont expect it.

I seem to have a lot of success with the corner blitz.

 

Barry the Chiefs defense says F U in our win over the Broncos tonight. 5 ints, 1 fumble rec and 17 points allowed. Is that good enough for you

Well... you had Patriots above the Jets, I had the reverse and Jets beat the Patriots when week was simmed. You had Buffalo below Cincinnati, I had the reverse again and Buffalo beat Cincy. So I mean...

Chiefs Best Broncos 20-17 in OT

The week began with people questioning the toughness of the Chiefs defense, but it seems that in last nights game the Chiefs were trying to silence their critics, and boy did they succeed. The most notable critic was Swami B trashed the teams defensive unit in his most recent power ranking. When asked about it in the locker team captain and defensive leader Derrick Johnson said this "Man I don't know who that Swami B is, but he is full of [expletive deleted]. We may not have performed as well as we hoped, but that is expected when you have a bunch of rooks that are starting. We are only going to gel and get better from here on out. It definitely fired us up"

They were beyond fired up as the defense recorded 5 interceptions and a fumble recovery, but the offense wasn't able to capitalize on the defense's great play as they turned it over 4 times themselves. Matt Cassel was injured early on in the game as he threw his first td pass and forced to sit out until halftime. Tyler Thigpen came in, and it was obvious he was very rusty as the offense wasn't able to to much with the offense only leading them to a field goal. Thigpen also threw two picks and missed several wide open receivers including one on that would have kept a potential touchdown drive alive.

Cassel returned in the third quarter and was able to move the offense a little better but only barely. He threw two interceptions as well but was able to lead the team to the tying touchdown late in the game. The lone bright spot in the game was that the Chiefs may have finally found their RB of the future. Jammal Charles has been rather underwhelming this year, and when he got hurt early in the fourth quarter it allowed reserve back F. Spain to get some carries and he did the most with them. When coach Parker was asked about Spain he had this to say. "Spain has really given it all in practice and so when Jammal went down we thought it was only fair to let him run the ball, and we were happy with what he saw. We just felt that he hit the hole better and was better to gain chunk yardage. So we're going to let him start against the Raiders next week and we'll see what he can do"

Spain didn't break any long runs, but with only two more carries than Charles he had 4.5 ypc as opposed to Charles measly 3. Will this revive the Chiefs running game that has been pretty pedestrian since the trade of Larry Johnson? Only time will tell.
