    Not as a blocker.

At this point there is no comparison. Dez is the far better WR. DT is a "potential" play. To put it in pro terms, it would be like having the option of taking Fitzgerald but taking a guy like Turner b/c you think he can eventually be better. The thing is if you look at their workout numbers, you can't even say that DT is a better athlete. The only thing you can say is that DT has blocked much more, big deal. That's like drafting the lesser QB b/c he's better at handing off.

You mean the same argument people make for taking Dez over Marshall?

Not at all. The argument against Marshall is that he is a psycho who has been arrested multiple times.

Only some people use that. A LOT of people on this board argue that Dez will be a better player than BM.

Not really b/c in a Marshall/Dez comparison you also other factors. Marshall is proven but he also would require a much larger contract, has a criminal record and could face league suspensions with another screw up.

In a Dez/DT comparison, Dez would require a small contract difference (assuming it's DT in the 2nd round), Dez is more athletic, has better hands, is more polished as a route runner and has been more productive but there are some character concerns (no criminal record or increased suspension potential in the NFL though), while DT is a better blocker and has no character concerns.

Well that's definitely a possibility but you can't look at it in a vacuum. Marshall would take a bigger contract and, as I mentioned before, he has an extensive criminal record.

He can block, he is not the best blocking WR in the draft, but he can block. He will also help by other teams needing to move a safety out of the box.
