So much talk about the jets and all their moves and quite frankly, I don't care about the Jets. Let them do whatever they want. We're Dolphins fans, let's get pumped for our guys.

    Chad Henne
showed all the skills of an elite passer last season. Deep balls, touch passes, poise in the pocket, good decision making, and on more than one occasion, the ability to drive the team down the field in the final minutes to win the game. He's the most exciting QB to sport a Dolphins jersey in years for a reason.

Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are the best young CB duo in the league. Some teams have one good CB, others have one elite CB, but we're one of the few that very well could have their starting CBs for the next several years lined up. Vontae may have gotten beat but he never gave up on a single play and the man sure can tackle. As for Smith, he calmed a lot of fears this season, proving he can be a great CB in this league. These guys are gonna be great!

    Karlos Dansby
AKA the best MLB in the league not named Willis. Dansby is a real talent that this team has been missing for several years. He's also a guy who makes the rest of the defense better. We are going to see improvements in guys like Crowder, Wake, and Anderson because of Dansby. We paid good money for this mans services and I fully believe it's going to pay off.

    Ronnie and Ricky
Ok i know Ronnie's "on the block" technically, so I'm playing with fire here. But truth be told, these two have the capability to be the best running back duo in the league. They were last year until the unfortunate happened, and they very well could be again.

Jake Long Seriously, Jake Long is one of the top 5 best LTs in the league. I can't be the only one who takes pride int he fact that he's a dolphin...

    #12 Pick.
I don't know who it will be, but with so many Tackles and QBs going in the top 10, our guy at 12 is gong to be a steal.

I'm tired of hearing about other teams. We got players too!

NAME EM! Tell me about one of your boys that no other team has!

    EDIT: BRANDON MARSHALL

i dont know if i would say that touch passes are one of henne´s strength so far, its something he really has to work on, not to fire the ball all the time, i disagree to one more point mentioned, jake long is not a top 5 Left Tackle in this league....he is top 3

When I look at what Henne did this year, with the talent we have at receiver, I think he was impressive. Get the guy some more threats (like Dez Bryant) and a pass catching TE, and see what he can do.

Yes, he threw some dumb interceptions, but also showed the ability to come back in games. The Tennessee game was a perfect example. He'll clean up those INT's, that comes with experience.

I agree given the hand that was dealt to the kid, he did have a good year, but now I wanna see improvement...

Derek Hagan 2.0. I can't wait to be force fed a steaming pile of BS that he's "really looking sharp" or some other coach speak that means nothing.

As for this thread, I'm waiting to see what shakes out before/during the draft before I decide whether I'm going to get excited about this team or ***** and moan until the season starts. If the only thing we do to address our WR deficiencies is a 3rd or 4th round project in the draft, expect more of the latter out of this guy.

Love me some Ronnie in spite of peoples pecimism... He and Ricky are dynamic together! Hartline is a VERY solid #2... Cam will prove he's still ahead of Bess (which I always thought he was).

    DANSBY! YEAH!

Anybody else excited about our new defensive coordinator and the fact we got Pennington back?
Its still nice to be excited over the coming draft considering how many years we cringed at what and with who the Dolphins would mess up in the draft. I imagine there was many a tv remote that was destroyed during the draft.

Crowder isn't the best ILB in the league but I think we all noticed our D regressing when he was hurt. Add to the fact instead of Akin beside him will now be Dansby. Then I'm optimistic with Nolan this season that alone will be worth the defense improving some in all areas. So Crowder won't be going to the Pro Bowl, but I think he'll do a decent job.

Like others I'm really excited about Henne and Hartline. Also crossing my fingers that R&R stay healthy. I think with Henne and all the receivers having an off season together, and Ronnie in the backfield the offense will be pretty strong. Then hopefully we get some good guys in the draft to improve on both sides of the ball, especially defense.

    crowder is serviceable for now

as far as henne im excited to see how he develops moving on. its been a long time since weve had a promising young QB. big strong arm, tall in the pocket. I hope his footwork gets a little better and the mistakes become less frequent but I'm tolerant for now considering

Brian Hartline is a scrappy guy who gets after it. you love to see that everyday
I'm in the minority here I'm guessing but I wouldn't mind seeing Hartline get some chances to return punts. See what he can do.

I think you're setting the ceiling too low on Hartline. I think he gets 1100+ yds this year.

Well, I don't go in for the koolaid stuff, not my style.

What I will say is the AFCE is very very similar to the NFCE back in the day, we are basically the mid to late 80's Giants, the Jest are the Eagles and the Pasties are the Redskins.

My one ***** is running away from 1 O'Clock games and that heat advantage, my one :woot: is this is yr 3 of the Tuna project in Miami, and we added one of the best defensive minds in the NFL in Mike Nolan.

HC Sparano is still rough around the edges on the HC gig, he has not yet mastered the Field General aspect of his job, mainly Timeouts, Going for 2 pt conversions, and Personnel Management, he is sharp, but tends to overcoach and then under strategize, Team mistakes such as penalties are at Shula levels believe it or not, but turnovers are like the big fat black fly in your last bottle of brew...

Chad Henne showed touch passing skills? When? I only remember a touch pass from the Monday night game against the Jets. I believe the rest of the year he was getting ripped for NOT having touch passing skills.
