Everything changes when a young guy has millions in the bank. With Dez, there is 2 unknowns. 1) Can he make it in the pros and 2)will the fame and fortune at such a young age get to his head. However for Marshall, there is only one unknown since he already proved he could tear it up at the pro level and that unknown is will he grow up?

Those are the same unknowns for every draft prospect.

And Brandon is proven in Denver, not anywhere else.

As long as it doesn't involve our #12 pick, and gets rid of Ginn, I'm all for it....Hell, throw White in the deal as well...get rid of two bums.

I was making a point that the bigger gamble is on Dez rather Marshall.

So by your logic, Marino is only proven in Miami and nowhere else?

Very nice of you to say. Thanks :)

Even with those guys you mentioned, none of them have a history of beating up women like he does. I can understand youthful transgressions, immaturity, even drugs. But the domestic violence is just something else IMO. That just goes down to a human level IMO. I have a hard time getting past that particular problem.

I don't feel like he and Ricky are anything alike. Ricky has always been my guy though. Truly a unique cat.

From what I've been told, he was a nice guy in high school. In college he was hitting his girlfriend (according to OTL).

And Ricky did go thru terrible some things in his childhood as well.

I think that's part of it. The other part is bigger than that. Does he have an anger problem? Or is it more than that? The ex-girl on OTL says he's nuts.

Hopefully we don't give it up.

I could see Miami getting a pick back along with Marshall.

I think they are just using us as leverage to get Seattle's 2nd.....if they don't want a 1st I think Seattle will give them their 2nd and probably a conditional pick in the next draft if they need it.

    Yes, that is absolutely true.

Doesn't mean he wouldn't be good elsewhere, but he'd have to prove it.

Culpepper was good in Minny, not here.

Roy Williams was pretty good in Detroit, but sucks in Dallas.

Randy Moss was awesome in Minny, good but not great in Oakland, and great in NE.

Kurt Warner was great in St Louis, but not that great in NYG, but pretty damn good in Arizona.

People who change teams don't always replicate success they had elsewhere. Just like draft picks don't always play up to their draft status.

I don't think there should be any doubts of whether Marshall is proven. He has produced great numbers regardless of quarterback. If he were going to drop off, it would have been when Cutler left (and the team changed directions completely). I would be extremely shocked if Marshall struggles with Henne, yet is a gamebreaker with Kyle Orton.

I agree that he has proven himself sufficiently on the field, I'm just playing devil's advocate in that he could be unsuccessful outside of Denver. However, I don't think coming here would make him unsuccessful. Oakland or Buffalo? Maybe.

I am going out on a limb here and saying IMO I think you can kiss Dez goodbye, if Marshall gets traded.....You think Denver passes up on him at 11, even if he makes it to 11?? They are bringing him in now for a visit tomorrow....

Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant will reportedly visit with the Broncos on Wednesday.

Interesting timing with talks talks expected to intensify after Brandon Marshall signed his tender offer on Tuesday. With Marshall likely departing, the Broncos will be in the market for a potential No. 1 receiver. Bryant fits the bill at No. 11 overall.

Don't ask me why, but if we were able to snatch Marshall and still hold onto our first...AND rid ourselves of Ginn...I might just have to go kiss Bill Parcell's pear shaped ***.

Also, for whatever reason, the thought of using that 12th pick on Dez Bryant while we have Marshall in Miami seems...MORE intriguing to me now. Marshall AND Bryant? Combined with a healthy Brown, and sure handed receivers Bess, Camarillo and Hartline, and the young buck has plenty of targets all of a sudden.

lol @ the idea of this FO spending a 1st and 2nd on WRs in the same year. I couldn't argue with it, but I doubt there is even a 1% chance of it happening. We would instantly have a top 5 receiving corp.

I'm all for aerial attacks, but getting Dez and Brandon at the same time is a bit of overkill in a single offseason IMO. Getting Dez/Brandon and a TE who can stretch the middle (Pitta, Graham, Quarless, Gresham, etc) seems like the best course of action if you want to add offensive firepower.

If you get Brandon you can give Turner someone to look to for help (hopefully), while also picking up some WR prospects later who you think can develop (perhaps Marcus Easley in the 6th?).

Allow for #12 to be used on an OLB (or FS).

Certainly possible. But then we might have McClain slip to #12 if that happens, and we'll be able to have the best ILB duo in the league.

here's what the jets would do if they were us right now.

    1. Get Marshall and preserve the 1st round pick.
    2. Trade a future pick (and #12) to move up and get Eric Berry.
    3. Sign Jason Taylor
    4. Draft the best OLB a 3rd round pick can buy.

to me it still is defense at 12 regardless....I dont even think about Dez, he simply will not be there, they would have to trade up to get him...I have been known to be wrong on several occasions....
