IYO with now our n°1 WR on board, can the trifecta pull the trigger and pick bryant next week if he's available when we pick or does the seemingly interest in bryant is smokescreen to trade down ?

what offense we could had if the trifecta pick bryant and sign long tem with bess anad hartline on board too.

BTW IMO bye bye ted ginn jr !

    opinions

Nope. We either trade down or pick up the best OLB available.

no, too many holes on D yet to take another WR. NFL net just mentioned the possibility of McClain again. i personally would go for a FS and an OLB as our first 2 picks. last move we need to make is to resign JT. then we will be in good shape

I don't think Bryant gets passed Seattle or Denver for that matter.

No I wouldn't draft Bryant now.

We have holes on Defense that need to be filled, NT, S or OLB. Plus both the Seahawks & Broncos could be in the mix now for Bryant. I love to see us grab Earl Thomas or Derrick Morgan.

ok but does earl thomas at 12 isn't a reach ? an ideal scenario would be to trade down and pick earl thomas and why not worrilds in the secondor third round (gotten in the trade down)

Yes, I take Bryant at 12 if he's there.

    If not, defense.

Reason being, in case Marshall screws up or something, and just to strengthen our receiver corp for Henne. If we can get a really good passing game, then we can mix it up with the WildCat every now and then, damn we will be dangerous.

though I hate the fact that our defense sucks, since we always give up big long plays to tight ends and #1 receivers....

Hell, why stop there? Let's trade our first for Fitz. Our third and first next year for Johnson. Let's see if Rice wants to come out of retirement, too.

Look for two or three OLB's, a safety, and NT this draft. Posssilby a TE too.

We need to focus on defense now. You can make the argument that our defense needs more help than our offense, even before Marshall. Also it's likely we'll trade Brown and will be moving away from the wildcat.

It's possible, but our need at WR is now almost non-existent. IMO he would have to be considered the BPA by a large amount to justify it.

IMO the favorites for #12 are E. Thomas and B. Graham. I see Graham as filling the bigger need but Thomas as having the greater impact. I think that Thomas could be the next Ed Reed so he would be my choice, but I wouldn't be even remotely dissatisfied with Graham.

I think Spiller and McClain are dark horses for that pick as well. Not as big need areas but I could see the F.O. just having them as the BPAs.

then all of a sudden we have a hole at RB. Rickys probably only giving us one more year. That wouldn't make sense.

    We're taking defense though.

Two days ago on NFL Live they were talking about who would win the AFC East and we weren't even mentioned. This morning on NFL Network at least one analyst mentioned us as the favorites. Now I don't really care what analysts think in April, but I thought it was obvious that w/o a #1 WR we weren't going to be a contender.

I would be disappointed if we drafted Bryant now. We still have some big needs on defense. Not to address them early would be pretty silly, I think.
Just my own thinking, but it seems to me the FO would be thinking defense early and often with this draft.
We've picked up an OL in Incognito; we now have a legit #1 option @ WR with Brandon Marshall. Now we need to get some help against the passing game. OLB, FS someone to improve our pass defense seems like the #1 priority at this point.
Plus which we're not going to see Hartline and Bess getting a lot of double teams - defenses will need to expend those resources in their efforts to contain Marshall. So with that, I see Hartline and Bess both having good years.

I just can't see them neglecting the D now after bringing Nolan on, unless something happens where all of their defensive players they want in the 1st round are taken.

And in that case, I would see them trade down and give someone a chance at Spiller or Bryant, and get an extra pick, before we spend time overstocking one side of the ball. Because there WILL be teams that want to trade down a few spots for them. And if they're gone, then it's likely whatever defensive player(s) we were targetting will be available. It's only 11 people that could be crossed off by the time our pick is up.

I highly doubt he'll be there since Denver is now looking for a receiver, but if he is I'd take him in a heartbeat. We'd likely be a top 3 offense if everyone stays healthy, and It's not like the 12th pick is the ONLY pick we have. Just gotta find some diamonds in the rough on defense.

Of course, I'd draft Dez(if hes there). I'd also trade his rights to who ever offered the best package of picks.

The Pat have three 2nd picks...........Dez on the block..the trading block.

No way we draft Bryant. #1, Denver is going to take him if he's there at 11. #2, With Marshall on board, our biggest needs are clearly on defense. By no means am I half as smart as the FO, but I'd say Berry at 12 if available, otherwise trade down and grab E. Thomas or the best LB available - NT in the third. I'd be very surprised to see any offensive player other than a TE or maybe a late-round flyer on Lafleur picked up this draft unless we move a lot of our current roster for picks.

That'd be a hell of a lot of money at the WR position. I say no way we pick him, although I seriously doubt he makes it past Denver now. If he does, I'd entertain trade offers from teams as long as we could drop back and still get who we're targeting anyway.

You have your top guy, and some good complementary pieces, including Bess, who was seemingly born to play in the slot. I dont see any reason for the FO to select anything other than defense at #12. Marshall's presence alone makes the other WRs better, especailly Ginn.

Obviously not. We're not going to neglect defense because that would be the dumbest ****ing thing this front office could do and everyone knows it.

No no no no...The Dolphins now have an amazing recieving core in my opinion. Our offense is taken care of, now all we have to do is draft good defensive players and we are legit superbowl contenders next year

And then focus BOTH the later 1st and the second pick on defense.

    ...or a great LBer...

We can try and find a space eating DT later on.

I doubt Dez Bryant will be on the board at #12 but if he is then I would be cool with grabbing him. I would rather have CJ Spiller drop to us. On defense I would love Earl Thomas or Brandon Graham. We could probably trade down and get one of these two guys on defense and pick up a 2nd rounder.

I say Thomas or trade up for Berry. If none of those will work out, trade down for Pierre-Paul. Dude is an athletic freak and can pass rush with the best of them
