And you act as tho Pat White and his little Pistol package shook up the NFL.... when in fact all it did was make ppl shake their heads and question our FO as to what the hell they were thinking when they drafted the kid.

You realize the only time we ran the Pistol it led to a TD, right? We barely ran the formation.

and the FO just went about their business cause they certainly don't give a ____.

Pat White didn't change the game, no. And I personally never claimed he would. I believe he can play and hasn't really been given an opportunity to do so. The problem with how we used White is that it was obvious. All of it was obvious.

We were more willing to let Ronnie throw a pass than White. that's just plain stupid. White got crushed because it was obvious where the ball was going every time.

Now we have Marshall, a guy who can turn a wounded duck pass from Orton into a highlight reel. Now we put White in there and and have him throw to Marshall if the defense doesn't respect White running it. All White has to do is get it within 5 yards of Marshall and its caught.

And do you realize that we "abandoned" the idea, right?

I Honestly Believe that The Wildcat is the Best Redzone Package in the NFL
    Even With Pat White

with 3 people able to run the ball in different directions you dont know where the ball is meaning easy TD

With someone able to throw the ball like pat white it just makes it a more deadly weapon

We wont get rid of it we just wont be dependant on it

You'll use it alot less because now with Marshall you can actually run something else that will work. But it would be a mistake to get rid of it since Beast is a decent blocker

A lot less, but the element of surprise with the Wild Cat is now back in full effect.

IMO, as long as we have Brown or Cobbs, the wildcat will still be spotted from time to time. And more effective as well. Instead of relying on it heavily, and somewhat becoming overexposed, it becomes more elusive, cunning, and spontaneous.
