I already knew we will get Brandon Marshall in here. Now the FO wants to trade Ronnie Brown.. They for sure aint gunna trade Ronnie. It's to scare the teams in back of us to trade into our spot on draft day so they can get C.J Spiller. So we can get more picks and move back. I see our FO making a deal to the Pats. Our #12 for their #22, #44, and #110. Any thoughts on this..
You know about as much as any of us know at this point. The trade back scenario likely won't present itself until we are on the clock. As to the Troika trying to 'dupe' other teams...well it's working because not many fans, draftniks or talking heads at the networks saw this coming...
lol the pats? why would they give us that many picks? they're the KINGS of the draft. they play this game better than anyone else in the league. they can get a good RB at their pick, no need to move up.
i really don't see the patriots, or any other division rival for that matter, as a likely trade/pick swapping partner. not that i'd be opposed to it if our FO gets what they want, i just don't think they would be first in line you know
I didn't read far enough...the pats ??? Trade partners ?? Doubtful. First, we both want the same type of players, second it's just not in BB DNA to trade picks away, unless it's for future considerations. That said, they are also of the "short board" variety of FO, so if they don't see what they want they might be willing to move up or down, just probably not with us....
While I'm not buying that a trade back is likely with the Pats, this idea that they're so great in the draft is a myth. I read a whole breakdown on their drafts in the Belicheck era and they actually hit on fewer picks than average. People perceive them to be better than they are b/c of the winning, the Brady pick and the media stroking, but it's a false perception.
I just hope if Dallas wants to go through us to get Earl Thomas or Bryant if Denver unlikely takes a pass, then as payback for his drunken comments, The Tuna charges Jones an additional mid-round pick.
