our first #12 for Eagles giving up their own first-round pick (24th overall) and one or two of their other picks, which include the 35th, 55th and 70th overall.

but this would eliminate Berry (as if) and Thomas from our radar as that is the reason Eagles are moving up.
May even see Miami draft Thomas and then trade him

They'd need to give up both seconds to move up that high or their high 2, 3 and a second next year.

If they're willing to send us 24 and 35 and some filler I'm taking that deal and running with it. Picking up a pick next year would be nice, soften the blow of no 2nd rounder in 2011 a bit.

it would open the door for us to take Jermaine Gresham, the pass catching TE this offense needs after getting marshall.

Great trade for us IMO. Lots of good talent available @ 24, and we pick up #55? I might even do it for the 70th pick. That could mean Eversen Griffin @ 24, Burnett @ 55, and the Worilds/Sapp/Gibson in the 3rd. Sweet.

Not really Our first round pick is worth 1200 points their first round pick is worth 740. If we add in their 35th pick which has a value of 550 they are right there with a total value of 1290. I'd pull the trigger. There should be some good value still on the board at 24 and then 11 picks later we are selecting again.

That would be a great deal. I wouldnt be convinced that the Eagles wanted Earl Thomas though (if Eric Berry is there I hope dont trade). I could see them going after Haden, or even a DE like Derrick Morgan or JPP.

Obviously would not happen until we are on the clock but it is interesting. We end up with 24, 35, 3rd in 2011.

So much so that we could still go defense with the pick at 24 and get Benn with the pick at 35. Benn wants to be in Miami bad! I would actually like to see Marshall, Hartline, Bess, Camarillo and Benn. That could be very solid!

Looks like Patrick Turner would be odd man out.

The draft and trade arrangement makes sense if they have suitors lined up. Houston at #20 would definitely be in the bidding. Might be able to get a mix of player/pick. Eagles are interesting. I'll also throw the 49ers in there, despite them already having made a trade with us, I could see them wanting Earl Thomas (and needing him). If we scopp him right before them (they pick #13 and #17), we might swing a deal for their #17 pick and a young LB like Parys Haralson.

    I could see that.

Dallas could also be a player.

I am all for it especially if it turns into Jerry Hughes and Morgan Burnett.

Enables Miami to go BPA in round three regardless of position.

I really want Earl Thomas with that pick at 12. But, I wouldn't be against trading back to 24 and getting more picks, especially if it included their 35th and another as part of the package.

Gronkowski from the UofA would be my choice at TE. I've seen him play in person many time, dude is a beast. He's got size, speed and hands. If we could land him somehow that would just be the beezneez!

Thing is I don't exactly no what # he'll go in the draft?

Second round. He'd have been a late first but for injury concerns.

First problem: we don't currently have a 2d rounder. However, even if we accumulate one, I think TE that early would not be a smart play. I'm not a Fasano fan, but I think we have bigger holes to fill. I say stockpile LBs - this is a defense rich draft.

How I wish this would come true. Especially if we are looking at OLB's, theres ZERO reason to stay at 12 when pick #24 could potentially net you the same calibre of player. Graham, Paul-Pierre, Kindle, etc can all go off the board as early as 12 and all could be there in the 20's. Moving down and netting an extra second rounder is an easy choice IMO.

The key is to make sure the Eagles trade with us and not someone else. Have to think their primary target is Berry and not Thomas, which makes me think they will look to move even higher than 12.

    i'd be tempted by getting 35, 55 & 70 ... and letting them keep 24 ....

    we can still land:

    Allen / Burnett
    Lane
    Carrington
    Joseph

with those 2 2ds and 2 3ds ... i'd be very happy with that .... we don't really need a TE - give Nalbone a chance this year .... at least not one in the 1st 4 rds ...

The only problem with this is Tampa Bay owns the 35th pick not Philadelphia they have the 37th pick. But that beeing said I would go for this trade in a heart beat.

I would so turn in my Fins card of over 35 years if we drafted Tebow. :wink2:

Seriously though, I would be mad as hell....

Tebow? For what? We already have a bad two position QB. Let him go to NE...I already hate both of them, its a perfect fit.
