I been watching this kid since he played Safety with UCF. He is a monster, he switched to WR his senior year. I alwayss wanted him out the draft in the late 1st or 2nd round. But he was highly criticized coming out because he wasnt fast and inexperience at WR and his off the field problems. We got to draft him in the 4th. A STEAL! He was highly doubted by broncos fan, until he made his first start with Cutler and made a huge play Break 4 tackles to score a long TD against the Seahawks. He is the Hardest WR to take i nthe NFL, and probably one of the best blockers. You guys got a Great player in a trade that i find disturbing. youtube-com/watch?v=SUrtdx0EeOw youtube-com/watch?v=SUrtdx0EeOw The kid is a monster
Thanks man. Welcome to the board. Obviously Phin fans are excited and hoping for another stellar season from him. Thanks for stopping by.
Any one who can catch 100+ passes from Kyle Orton is good in my book. Being from UCF is just a bonus.
We should thank you for both Marshall and Mike Nolan. Use the draft picks wisely. And do us a favor and beat the Jets this year!
Thanx for your post! [ame="http://youtube.com/watch?v=SUrtdx0EeOw"]YouTube- Bomb Drop - Brandon Marshall 2009 Highlights[/ame]
As a Bronco/Dolphin fan myself I still can't believe this trade happened to a team I wanted him to go to if Denver had to move him. Bad part is I hate the way Denver drafts they pass on exciting players go boring. Since I sent good vibes here to land Marshall can you send me vibes for Denver to draft Spiller McCluster or Trindon Holliday want some speed added to this team. Call 911 if they draft a C at 11 . I hope we move down if no to Dez or Spiller. I like Earl Thomas but, doubt we take him.
Cool man welcome to the forum, most of my family is Broncos fans so I can't wait to get a Fins Marshall jersey. I hope you guys find a good receiver in the upcoming draft,I am a big Eddie Royal fan too so hopefully he gets a lot of catches this season.
Watching that video I can't help but notice how many poor passes or just short passes resulted in 1st downs. Those were all passes that most likely would have resulted in stalled drives last year for us. I think that will be where Marshall has the greatest impact and that's not even counting those plays that became TDs.
Thanks Man And Let me Tell You This All the Dbs Yall Got From Us are gonna be Awesome Especially Nathan Jones....
Thanks for the welcome here. Its nice to be able to go to a forum of other teams and talk football. Before the Marshall trade what WR's did you guys like in this draft? Can anyone send me an dolphin avatar Are you guys trading down or what?
looking forward to hartline developing bess in the slot again like that guy draft D WR is moot welcome to the board
No. Ginn was at least fast. McCluster is 175 LBS and only runs a 4.58 40. Ya I know he plays faster and has done well in college. I just dont see it translating or him holding up. Some people like to compare him to Chris Johnson because of his size but CJ is 20 Lbs heavier and runs a 40 in a blazing 4.24 so I just dont see the comparason.
To be fair with McCluster, he did improve from a 4.53 at the combine to a 4.44 at his pro day. Not saying I want him all that much either. He is projected a 2nd rounder and there are a lot of players I'd rather get in the 2nd if we trade down and get a 2nd back as part of it.
Ole Miss alumni here. McCluster is a playmaker, but his size is going to limit him. He's not afraid of contact, but those little guys just get injured. I really don't see him going in the 2nd round and think, more realisitically, he'll go mid third to high 4th. Once you get to bottom of the third, he's a good value pick.
