http://www.denverpost.com/broncoshe...r.com&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=twitter Great article which includes just how close the Seahawks were to trading for him, but the Whitehurst #2 pick swap with the Chargers put the Broncos off as they did not want the #60 overall pick, they wanted something earlier in the 2nd round.
Good article. Marshall is saying all the right things right now. IF he has really matured and turned his life around, the Trifecta just made one hell of a deal.
Wow....I would have been soooo pissed if the Jets got him too. I'm finally excited for this upcoming season since we have Marshall. Dansby didn't excite me very much, but Marshall changes the entire game IMO. He instantly makes our offense explosive and opens up everything. Running game improves, tight ends open up, other WR's open up. Gives Henne a target to throw at.
That would have been rough. It was bad enough seeing Sanchez tossing up bombs to Braylon but with Marshall he could just throw a quick hitch and he would break five tackles and take it 80 yards for a touchdown.
Feeds the starving, clothes the poor...oh, we are talking about Brandon Marshall.. We still have issues, but it is amazing how the Jest are in on almost every deal this year, Brandon Marshall would have been huge for the Jest as their Wr corps is already good.
That Is actually good to know that the Jets would give up their first round pick for a position they don't need. I see disaster in the future for the Jets, all of their free agents will be gone and they will have no one to fill those holes.
Not me it show the organization is in the WIN IT NOW mentality and they are trying to get a new stadium don; forget! Big names means more in the seats and a bargaining chip for a Billion dollar stadium whats 45 million than?
I really liked that part discussing his loyalty to his agent. He didn't think it was right to sign with another agent for this contract because he had been there through all these other issues.
Ill be the first to admit I wasn't a marshall fan in so far as character. I will say this though, more then turn into a monster for us, I really hope he gets his personal life together. I think marshall has some skeletons in his closet he needs to battle. I really hope he wins that battle and turns into not just a great football player, but a great human being.
Given their activity, it would appear that unlike the truce, that many teams including the Dolphins agreed to abide by, the Jest's have their foot on the spending accelerator, intent to exploit whatever, and acquire whomever an uncapped year would cease to govern.
Which is great for them if they get a championship this year... but if they don't, it could be a slippery slope of falling off players, and not having the pay to keep them.
Come in, do your job, hit the weight pile, don't *****, and kick some butt out on the field and don't appear on the police blotter and that is pretty much all that is required of the Beast. Heck, if he does that, I'll have a serious decision between my boi Cam Wake's Jersey and Brandon the Beast Marshall's.
So glad he's a Dolphin. Jets fans think Holmes and Cotchery are better than Marshall. I can't wait to play them.
This article also tells me that Charlie Whitehurst deal is already costing the Seahawks dearly. He better turn into one heck of a QB for them or that's going to be a pretty big mistake.
