independent thinker , maybe? dont know intelligent people don't follow molds or predictable personality types. each situation is judged independently and your laughing doesn't affect me. it's a legitimate annoyance.
Each team has always made that call to ask some probably silly questions before they pull the trigger. They have and will always do this. Now perhaps the NFL will stop inviting these kids to the draft or stop showing them on camera but I highly doubt it. As for the look on their face you see it in spades on camera as they share this moment with their loved ones. It will never change so buck up and get used to it.
it's easy to stop "hey NFL teams, stop calling the players before the pick is announced. Wait until after they got backstage." problem solved.
I remember when the HEAT drafted Dwyane Wade at #5 he had no idea. reaction was genuine, was great i hope the NFL changes this phone call stuff.
Tell me what the difference is from a purely theatrical stand point. You see the team tell him over the phone and watch his reaction as he hears the news or he hears it over a PA and you see his reaction. Its the SAME THING. the only other way would be to call his name and not show the back room and in that case all the emotion of hearing his name called is basically lost.

What's up with Seahawks first-rounders? Last year Curry cried his eyeballs out, and this year it's Okung doing the bawling. Must be having to play in Seattle...
