I've been a serious hobbyist for about 5 years now. Any others here? Show us your stuff! Here are a few of my mine:
cool picture, I want to make it a hobby someday when I got more free time. www.deviantart.com has some great photographers. I am sure people would love to see your pictures.
I have photography message boards and display places I hang out already...just wondered how many of my fellow Fin fans were into it.
wow bro, you must be carrying some serious hardware! those pics are incredible. the pic of the two bears feeding is an amazing shot. see that gash in his butt?
Outstanding Rick. I love to take pictures, but I am not in your class brother. The bears hunting salmon was spectacular... so much there. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing pictures bro, great work. I am not a photography fan but I like to look at pictures like this. I just have one question about it. When people take these pictures, are they really at that setting or is it like photoshoped into that setting? Sorry if I confused you.
Well, it would have saved me a lot of time and money to photoshop them, I guess... I don't know about other people, but all these were taken on location by me over the last 5 years.
cnc66 has some beautiful pics and they are worthy of this thread to say the least.I know of some really great sunrises that are second to none.Lemme go find one.
Rick.. do you have Phylox growing in Lakeland? They don't grow here, if they did I would do a serious "study" of them.. no two are alike.
You know, until I just googled it, I had no idea what it was! I am not a flower expert by any means. My own nature photography tends towards the fauna rather then the flora..
Those are excellent! What camera do you use? I got a Nikon D50 2 years ago and I love taking pictures but I am still trying to learn manual photography. For the most part I just snap them on auto and tweak them in photoshop.. Here is my flickr account.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/odin_thorhammer/ Add me to your friends!
ahhh, everything interests me. I have a real good "wildflower" series shot in macro. I go on Royal Poinciana quests and even shot a moonflower opening video. I can't reach out like you, I only have a 10 power zoom to play with on a cheap digital camera but I pay attention and capture some good shots time to time. Here is a pre sunrise shot across Indian River, looking SE, from Jensen Beach, toward Hutchinsons Island. Taken two days before solstice, this is as far south as my sunrises come.
I use a Canon 40D now...at various times in the past, I've used a Canon Digital Rebel, a 10D, a 20D and a 5D. BTW, some nice shots at your flickr account there.
Here's my Flickr site, but I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. The only thing I've got up there is some photos I took at a friend's concert. It was my first time shooting in a club with their lighting and I was very impressed with how some of those photos turned out. I'm still learning and shoot with my Canon Digital Rebel XT (kit lens + 70-200mm 2.4f L) and mostly do sports. I'm still learning so much, so I'm still very self critical and don't post a lot of pictures. I mostly read up and lurk on Fred Miranda's board. I'll post up some newer pictures on Flickr soon and will let you guys know.
I just got into photography this summer, so I will warn you that these pics are coming from an amateur. I shot them on a fujifilm finepix s6000fd. All these were taken in my backyard, and I haven't edited them. Be kind.
yeah let me criticize you because I could do better ppppppfffffffffffffffffft. Although you might want to consider putting the rooster in a bathing suit next time. good job by the way.
Rick and FSB; both of you took some nice photos. The color and the clarity are incredible. Rick, those butterflies in particular are amazingly clean looking pictures. Now I'm no expert, but I'm going to take a guess and say....you used a pretty damn expensive lens for those butterfly photos. Right? FSB, did you know that the correct way to cook Coq au vin is to use a rooster and not a hen? Let me know; I have a recipe.
