Only if Bynum's still out, even then, we fared pretty well against the Suns w/ Shaq. It's killing me that they keep moving back, then moving up, and then moving back his timetable.

Lakers clinched the Pacific Division tonight with a wire to wire win against the Hornets. Kobe Bryant, aka YOUR NBA 2007-2008 MVP went for 28 points, 10 boards and 8 assists and I think, cemented himself as the MVP tonight. Great game.

Good game bro's. Congrats. I can't watch any more. I am tired of seeing the back of Edmonds jersey going after fly balls. I miss Cameron. Young shoul have been pulled. No excuses, you guys are the better team tonight.:wink2:

Anyway I went to the game last night. Had really good seats in section F11. Chris Young sure looked like he had nothing, and not being able to field the Derek Lowe grounders was weak.

Also sitting in the first deck at Chavez Revine is nice, but there are still lots of irritaing factors there. To get into the 1st deck you have to enter at almost the same location as the bleachers. Concessions are outrageous (Dodger Dog $ 5.00, Soda $ 5.00, cheapest beer $ 8.00). The parking lot is irritating, and you are not directed out to unfamiliar locations.

Kuo had a great stretch in relief with 8 K's. If you ask me, he should be in the starting rotation instead of Loaiza.

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Loiaza is horrid. The thing about the Dodgers that kill me is that they always bring in some high priced free agents, only to see their home grown kids outshine and outplay them. Andrew Jones, Loaiza (via trade), Nomar and Schmidt are easily replaced with players like DeWitt, Kuo, Kershaw (who SHOULD be up) and Delwyn Young. Jeff Kent has pretty much been the lone bright spot for free agents recently. Perhaps Lowe as well but he has been so so this year.

Loving the makeup of the team right now. 10 of 11 has put them right back in the race and it appears early on, that the bloody deathmatch of four teams last year, (Padres, Rockies, D-bags and Dodgers) has already been whittled down to two.

Good point. Although, it should be noted that this IS a contract year and so far, it has been his best year with us. But you are right, his defense has solidified the position and chances are, he will resign for another three years.

Ugh, I can't BELIEVE I am agreeing with an Angels fan. Good thing your Dolphins loyalty outweighs your faux pas in baseball!

Well if Brandon Webb keeps forgetting that he is human and supposed to lose on occasion, I think Arizona has to be the favorite this year. I was actually in Yosemite last year and had a nice conversation with a D-Bags fan and told him tat 2008 would be a banner year for his team. Looks like I was right, unfortunately.

But right now, L.A. is ok only being 3 1/2 games out.

I think the loss of batting coach Mattingly really affected Jones's play. If there was someone who could've fix Andruw's batting, it was him. I wouldn't mind keeping Nomar around though for some veteran presence, perhaps as a pinch-hitter. When healthy, he's a heady player and it's good to see a hometown guy like him on the roster. Likewise for Kent. I really want to see what Kershaw and Kuo can do for the rotation.

That's my hope. But those things can turn nasty for a long time.

Rumors have it late in the season at the most. Dodgers have him limited in terms of innings pitched with the minors to keep him fresh by demanding him come in relief. And with Loaiza hitting the DL, Kershaw could debut, if called up, on May 17th. They'll call up Brazoban first though and Torre's still mum.

Ugh, what a waste of money and space. You know you are done when Juan Pierre starts looking like an attractive replacement for you.

Honestly, I hope L.A. learns their lesson when it comes to free agents. Never attempt to buy them in hopes of resurging or re-building. Chances are, Andruw's .222 BA last year was a sign of things to come, and not an albatross, like his contract is. Jason Schmidt was one of the best pitchers of all time for the Giants, and they let him go, that should have thrown up a red flag.

I can't wait until Andrw and Schmidt's contracts roll off the payroll after the 2009 season. Then they can start allocating that money to re-signing the kids who deserve it like Martin, Loney, Kemp, DeWitt (he is a keeper) and the pitchers.

Looks like Chad Billingsley has recovered from a poor start. He's always had the K's, now he's got the control. Lotta high hopes on him and Kershaw. Add Kuo to the mix and we've got the pieces for a very deadly pitching staff for the future.

AMAZING start by Kuroda tonight. I was holding my breath hoping the perfect would happen, Alas, it was not meant to be. Still though, 9 innings of shutout ball and only one hit? Yes sir, I will take it. It also catapulted us into a tie for first place.

Billingsley goes tomorrow and he has been our best pitcher recently so that is good. I would love to end the first half of the season with a winning record and in first place.

Not bad. Heard we lost out in the Sabathia bidding though. But Billingsley is a true ace. We're first in the NL in ERA even before this game. Now all we need is some consistent offense...
