Miami (Day 1: A; Day 2: A): Really strong work here, pretty much across the board. DT Jared Odrick got high marks at No. 28, as did DE Koa Misi (No. 40) and OT John Jerry (No. 73). The biggest haul may be S Reshad Jones, a top-50 talent to some, in Round 5. Final Grade: A

I'm guessing none of these articles are from forum guys around here. You would've thought the world was coming to an end this weekend.

If we can get three-four regular starters within the next two years i will consider this a successful draft. Anytime you can get regular players who you want to keep around and are productive in your system its a good draft.

I'm getting used to good drafts from the dolphins, we've started a new trend here. In the first 2 drafts with the new FO, we ended up with several regular starting players.

2008: Long, Henne, Merling, Langford, Thomas, Hilliard, Bess/Carpenter (Undrafted FA) from 9 picks.
2009: Vontae, Smith, Hartline, Clemons from 9 picks. Jury still out on: White, Turner, Gardner

So in only 2 drafts from Ireland, we have 12 regular starters or backups from only 18 draft picks. Mostly starters.

Including a great kicker, a promising qb, a pro bowl LT, 2 dynamic CB's, 2 very reliable WR's, a developing Safety, a RG who has lots of potential, a backup RB/special teams gunner, two DT's who have contributed early in their careers who can still get better.

And now the 2010 draft. I would venture to say were going to see 4-6 regular starters or backups/special teamers from this draft. If Irelands draft history with this team has any sort of a trend to it. This FO gets the guys they want, with the attributes they want to fit in and become regular contributors to this team. They pick guys who fit their way of playing football to give the player the best environment and opportunity to succeed.

Even though none of this matters until at least next january, I'm glad I'm starting to hear decent things about Reshad. Safety was one of my worry positions.
