Yes, I.C.E....then they have indeed been tipped that Vince is back (a border crossing tripped the alert, or perhaps, they never had an accurate record that he actually arrived in Nicaragua)...its a long shot about your DAD as its not just a name they go off of, its physical ID or Biometrics, Face, etc, as well.

You can contact them and simply ask for details to bring you up to speed.

Did they were GLOVES during the cavity search?:shifty:

Very very very possible Mor, I went to buy a gun, and in RI they have a 7 day waiting period from when u buy it, and when u can actually take possession of it...they do background checks, and the like....long story short I went to pick it up, and a dectective came up to me and was like "Michael we have a warrant for your arrest?" CUFFED ME lol.....turns out there is a guy with the exact name as mine who is a thug.....so after fingerprinting me, and the like, I was let go.....and with my burner!!!

In any event, could have happened bro, deported persons go on the list...and flags come up when that happens....dayum son tell your old god to change his name...!!!

He shouldve manipulated the situation, some of these cops wanna "get the bad guy" so bad that they will do anything to catch them. So when he says stuff like "may we come in" you shouldve suggested that for a hundred bucks they could come search whatever they like....sounds foolish but the police do pay off civillians for info that leads them to a big bust and a likely promotion.

Infact their are cops here who pay a guy I used to know to tip them off on crimes like grand theft auto schemes etc.

So the moral of the story is if you DO let them in I would negotiate some sort of compensation for your troubles, if they decline tell them to get f-cked.

This same exact thing happened to me. They were also looking for my brother. Mother ****ers didn't knock though. They claimed to have reason to think our house was being robbed, so they just came in with guns drawn and started asking where my brother was. Tried to sue their asses, but all of the sudden we had no case after the lawyer said it was a slam dunk. I think they paid off our lawyer.

From your description Mor, I don't think you did anything wrong or could have done anything differently. Unfortunately, neither did the cops. From my experience, they did everything according to their training. They had a reasonable belief that there could have been a violent person on the premises and they knew there was a gun so they acted to control the situation in a manner that assured officer safety.

IMO the training they receive and the approach they use often increases the risk of an encounter turning violent and is a large part of the reason that so many people hate and/or don't trust cops. But they didn't do anything illegal or counter to their training.

that sucks Mor. But atleast no one was hurt

I tend to look at stuff on both sides. Sure it sucked for Mor and his bro to have a gun pointed at them and hancuffed but i also put myself in the cops shoes. You have NO IDEA whats behind those door. Someone could be sitting there with a shotgun all trigger happy just waiting for that "pig" to open that door. Theres some crazy Mofos out there that wouldnt hesitate to take a cop out. Just look at those pyschos who plotted to ambush a FUNERAL..wtf?!?. Sure some take advantage of their badge and misuse it but that is no different from any occupation who loves to take advantage of there power. Theres scumbags in all jobs or races.

You're right, I stand corrected, if you say that however, you pretty much are saying you know where the guy is, they would just charge you with aiding and abetting, obstruction of justice, harboring a fugitive or some other crazy charge, either way....terrible move....

Exactly. The officers I work with are trained to not fully trust anyone. It sucks to have to think like that, but you don't know when some random person you walk by is going to want to pop you just because you're wearing a badge. It's easy to point a finger, but do you really, ever have to worry about the guy in the cubicle next to you pulling a gun, saying "my friend got beaten by one of you officer workers" and unloading it in your face? scary when you think about it

It's like I think I'm doing the right thing by cooperating and allowing them in to talk. And they repay me by putting us face down cuffed in my own living room. Then they wonder why people are asses to them. Funny part is, if I don't cooperate then I'm a jerk bad guy. It's a freaking lose lose system.

I don't work in a cubicle. In fact, I spend a lot of time talking to the same exact kind of people that cops do. I find that my job is easier and safer when I am respectful. IMO a lot of cops make their jobs harder and more dangerous than it has to be.

That's why I said you couldn't have done anything differently. If you had refused to let them in, then most likely they would have used that refusal as part of their reasonable suspicion to either charge in (claiming some exigent circumstance) or if they are following the rules (not a given) to get a search warrant and smash in the door later.

That is not a hypothetical as I've heard many cops say they did exactly that.

The gun laws in FL are some of the most lax in the nation. The cops here are definitely more aggressive because of it.

I spend a lot of time speaking with inmates and COs. I find that a higher percentage of COs than cops act respectfully. I find that ironic b/c the COs know that the people they are dealing with are criminals. While the vast majority of the people the cops deal with are not.

I have no doubt about it. You regularly see the same cops get hit with repeated complaints. The majority don't. IMO it's extremely unlikely that the few bad cops are just unlucky and repeatedly get the bad situations. I think it's more likely that their behavior makes more situations bad. And since I've met a few of those bad cops and discussed their reasoning for their actions and heard how they treated different situations, I have no doubt that the cops themselves were a huge factor (and arguably the primary factor) in how many escalated.
