when MIB said 'You're with me now' at the end, the first thing that came to my mind was Jack died and MIB brought him back like he did with Sayid.
That's interesting, I didn't even think Jack could possibly be dead. One thing I wish Jack asked MiB is how could Jack have seen his father in his flash forward? Was it MiB again somehow or was Jack just doped up on pills? Also you have to wonder about what happened to Christian's body, did MiB move it/hide it on Jack?
We've seen Anna Lucia appear off Island as well after she died. If MiB cant leave the Island my guess is that the Christian we saw with Jack was not the MiB. It was either a hallucination or it could have been Christian's actual ghost.
I wonder if MiB's spirit/powers can leave the island but his actual body can't. But you're right we have seen numerous castaways off the island like Charlie or Claire so you have to wonder if it would possibly make sense if it actually was MiB sending these 'ghosts' to get the characters to do what he wants. You have to wonder, like you said, if it's just a hallucination or if it's something or someone else making them appear.
http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2010/04/seans-random-thoughts-lost-recap-last.html I thought that was intresting.
Wasn't it Hurley who saw all of those characters off of the island? Like Charlie and Ana Lucia and whoever? If it was Hurley then it doesn't really need to be MIB. Dead people talk to Hurley, it's not a trick with him like with the others.
Unless of course if Hurley really doesn't see dead people and it is and always has been MIB trying to get Hurley to do things to help him. Much like how Jack 'saw' his dead father because MIB wanted to lead him to water.
Really? If so that's completely lame. EDIT: Just checked ABC.com and you're correct Ab Eterno is airing tonight.
Maybe it's in bad taste to post this here. But I've never been accused of having taste. WARNING!!!! SEMI...UMMM...I GUESS THIS IS TECHINCALLY A SPOILER ALERT...KINDA!!!! http://www.nbcnewyork.com/blogs/pop...--Lost-Producer-Hints-On-Finale-92499084.html
Thanks for the link. I always figured Lost would end by not giving a clear 100% ending. With that being said I have a bad feeling that the ending is going to suck and still leave us with important questions that won't be answered or even newer questions, which is really no different than any other episode. I know people hated the Sopranos ending but I liked it a lot. It fit because really besides from killing off Tony, how could you really end that show? Showing Tony with his family at the diner while worrying about his possible future arrest and then leaving us to come up with what happens next was great. I know people hated the last Seinfeld episode but really how could they end that show besides from the obvious Jerry and Elaine end up together. The problem with Lost is, I think that show definitely needs a clear ending, leaving fans up in the air or having more questions is going to annoy the already annoyed fan base and thus will hurt the shows perception in the long run. I just have a bad feeling that the last episode is going to end on a cliff hanger or something like that. Of course that's all speculation and really silly to discuss before the episode even airs but it's just my gut feeling considering how much the show has changed.
Yeah, I liked the Sopranos ending as well. You could draw your own conclusion there. But LOST to me seems like one of the shows (as the writer points out) where you want to ****ing know. I wonder if the writers of the show didn't think it would be as big as it was, and didn't plan for it to go this long. I'm sure you guys have already discussed that though.
I disagree with the writer saying people don't want to know. If they didn't than no one would watch it. I think it's a cop out. That's like saying someone doesn't want to know who the killer is in a mystery book/movie/show. The viewers don't need to know every detail of why something is but the big/main/important things they should absolutely explain. Anyway, the writers have always claimed they had everything planned out ahead of time and have been following their plan. For whatever it's worth I have a friend that works in Hollywood who's a friend of one of the producers that has been telling him since 2007 that they already knew what the ending was going to be way back when the show started. And while I don't discount that the writers had the ending planned out, I think its BS that the writers say they had everything planned out before the show started. There's just too many examples that evidence points differently like the flow of the show at times, or how the writers listened to the fans in message boards and killed off characters (specifically Paulo and I forget the girls back in Season 3) that weren't well liked or changes in the characters original plot lines (such as Jack dying in the first episode of season 1 or Ben not originally being more than a minor character in a handful of episodes or them totally dropping Walt and Michael's characters because Walt got too big too fast after they previously stated how important Walt was to the show) or the focus and direction at times. But hey that's just my opinion, I know there are a lot of people that feel differently and a lot that feel the same way.
This is what I've been afraid of for about a year and half. The ending of Lost will suck. And I mean SUCK. And I think it's partly because they have been winging it for pretty much all of Season 6.
To be fair, it wouldn't be LOST without a cliffhanger or two. As long as the big questions are answered, I'm OK with it. Also, from what I've heard (I haven't read spoilers or anything, I gave it up for this year) the finale is going to be amazing. Most people who've read the script or have knowledge of how it ends rate it in the 9.5 area (out of 10). These next few episodes are all going to be killer too from what I hear.
something interesting I noticed about the episode next tuesday. It's called Spoiler Across the Sea , and it appears according to imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1467633/fullcredits#cast Spoiler The entire episode will only contain Claire, Jacob and MIB, with some minor characters we've never seen before. All the other characters are listed as "credit only". I'm thinking the above means that the episode is going to show some very interesting things, given the unique.. 'format'
I'm almost positive that I've read somewhere that one of the final episodes is going to focus on things that have happened on the island with Jacob and MIB. I also remember reading that the writers planned on explaining what happened to Claire and why she was missing for so long (all Season 5). Although IMDB isn't always credible, I think this has some legs and is correct.
Not sure, I went to ABC.com and the description is about Jack and Fake Locke and whether or not Jack can trust him.
Nothing too big except for the the title of this weeks show and confirmation of next weeks centric episode. Spoiler This Weeks story is called "the candidate" Spoiler As for across the sea, it is definitely jacob and MIB's backstory only
Tonight's episode was insane... in a very good/sad way. The last 15 minutes or so was very well done and very intense. Next week's episode looks like it's going to be pretty good. Plus Richard and Ben are still lurking around somewhere, along with Desmond too.
Wow 4 characters killed in about 15 minutes. It really is heartbreaking to see Sun and Jin dead, that tops Charlie's death as the saddest death on the show. I'm glad that Zombie Sayid redeemed himself but it wasnt as powerful as Charlie's sacrifice. As for Lapidus, I liked the character but he hasnt been important in a loooong time Considering the variety of themes and philsophies we've seen on this show it wouldnt shock me if they left something up to our intrepretation. I dont think they'll explain the numbers any further, I dont think we'll know why Hugo can see ghosts and I dont think we'll get the MIB's actual name.
Was it just me or was Sayid completely normal this episode? I pretty much forgot he was a Zombie until he got blown up. Yeah Sun and Jin's dead was sad but I still think Charlie's death and even Juliette's was sadder, only because although I liked Jin, I never liked Sun much or their flashback stories, they always seemed to bore me. But I thought that scene was very well done, much like Charlie's. I figured Lapidus was a goner it was just a matter of when, since he was originally suppose to be the pilot on the original Oceanic flight. I also forgot Miles is with Ben and Richard. I'm guessing we'll find out what they've been up too in 2 weeks after the Jacob/MIB episode. I disgaree about MIB's name, I bet we learn it next week.
While we're mentioning saddest Lost deaths Alex's death is up there. I think we've been slowly seeing his old self shining through since he captured Desmond, of course Desmond's chat had alot to do with it.
What about their child! Jin you selfish bastard!!!! Now it is Sawyer that got everyone killed! Stupid episode. I love Sayid. I was hoping he would have survived. I wonder if Sawyer got his name crossed off the list. During the sub everyone who wasn't a candidate was put in a situation where they were going to die.
Charlie's death imo is more impactful! Could be cause i love desmond and charlie a lot. But it was the saddest moment of the show imo. I hated Jin and Sun's death because no one even considered the baby. There was nothing Jin could do to save Sun, now that baby is mother and father less.
