Everyone has their opinion of JT. Mine is of a player, along with ZT, of the two best picks JJ made while coaching our team. Both are stars in my eyes and while some kick Taylor for going to the Jets for more money they seem to have quickly forgotten the 8 + million he gave up the year before to rejoin our team in '09.

So long JT you will always be a Dolphin in my eyes. BTW please don't sack Henne to many times, ok.

I feel you Padre. However JT said the Dolphins gave him the silent treatment. What would you do? Would you just wait and hope the Dolphins sign you?

Yes. You could saying he was whining. However he also made several statements like "It was a tough decision" and "I'm not here to bash anybody" and "I don't have anything bad to say about the Miami Dolphins" and "It will be bittersweet" and "There is a business side to football" and "I just don't understand why I was good enough to sign in November but not now."

We see and hear what we want to see and hear. :wink2:

The more I think about it the more I am starting to dig it. Remember the Vikings vs the Packers last year? Those two games were awesome! The two Dolphins/Jets games are going to be monumental this year.

Did you bother to listen to the KimBokamper/Sid Rosenberg interview on WQAM?

Said all that and "they don't respect me" as well, odd that don't you think?

Slave to the Truth BR..and grace of course, it frosts me greatly that Taylor would sell the bull**** that he has sold and fans buy it and then blame Ireland for what at the end of the day was..Jason Taylor's choice to make to sign in NY.

If folks wish Taylor well, I'm cool with that, what bothers me is to then blame Ireland...a situation that Taylor himself produced...

Hopefully Taylor has his facemask crushed into his helmet.

Yep, mine is of a guy who went to the Jest I think (and just my opinion) probably due to the role he will have in a pretty good defense as much as anything; he can be their Cameron Wake more or less. Throw in the money of an uncapped year and #99 feeling disrespected by the FO, signing with the rival made sense for him. I see him as selfish and not fitting with the team philosophy the Dolphins try to maintain. That's just my opinion and as a fan I won't have all the facts, but that's my view anyway.

Hope Lousaka gives him a "polite" greeting when they meet on the field.

I'm listening to it right now. Bokamper said our front office has a different way of doing things but they are consistent. They don't allow anybody to hold a press conference. It doesn't matter if it is Brandon Marshall, Karlos Dansby, Joey Porter, JT, or Zach Thomas. Is it right? Bokamper said "No its probably not right when you've got a guy like Jason Taylor."

He went on to say 11-5 will fill the stadium and he's right. That is his opinion and I value that.

He also said Jeff Ireland was in contact with JT's agent on a regular basis. He said they didn't treat JT as a pariah. That sounds like inside information not opinion. I am not sure Kim Bokamper is privy to any inside information.

I don't think its odd at all. The reporters asked him if he felt disrespected. It was their word not his. Then he talked about respect in his answer.

You cannot tell me that Jeff Ireland had nothing to do with JT signing with New York. Yes it was Taylor's decision but he did not visit the Jets until April 7th. Ireland could have had JT signed long before that. Ferguson, Pennington, Bess, Haynos, and Carpenter had all been signed for weeks by then.

So if you are Jason Taylor you are sitting there going "Okay all my teammates have been signed. I am the only one who hasn't." What did we expect?!

So he visits on April 7th and he doesn't sign until April 20th. Ireland had more than enough time to sign JT if he wanted to.

I do find it interesting that we traded for Brandon Marshall on April 14th and traded away Ted Ginn on April 16th smack dab in the middle of all this drama with JT. Did Taylor factor in the trade for Marshall in his decision? Was Ireland distracted during all this?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that JT was not Ireland's top priority. Not even close.

I hope JT has a 6 or 7 sack game against the Patriots this year. I am really rooting for him to catch and pass Michael Strahan.

I read somewhere that he could have earned up to 2.7 million on one of the offers.

He had the opportunity to be resigned before all of them and he passed on it. The team tried to resign him in NOVEMBER and he stated "it wasn't the right time". What Taylor should have been thinking was "all my team mates have been signed and I could have been too".

Well if Ireland goes and signs Thomas like you suggested in another thread...then Ireland screwed this up.

Not for JT.....for us. Because letting him go and signing Adalius Thomas makes zero sense

If JT wasn't a Miami Dolphin I wouldn't have looked twice at him, and now that he is no longer a Miami Dolphin that still applies. The whole Jets thing is amusing but nothing more.

I say out with the 'old and demanding' and in with the 'young and thankful', and we'll be all the better for it.

Kinda, funny. For a guy (JT) who says he's "moving on" he certainly can't stop talking about the Miami Dolphins. This must be the first time this Premadonna didn't get his a*s kissed and he is obviously "butt-hurt" over it. JT is old and in denial of his diminishing skills, bloated ego and his ailing body.

I still think the only reason blow hard Ryan wanted him in NY was so he could get a disgruntled JT to show him our play book from memory. What else could a solid defense like the JETS want with this old whiner?

From many angles this situation is hilarious. You gotta love the NFL soap opera.

I don't think Ryan did it to gain information on our defense. He knows that Nolan is changing things around.
I do think they see signing Taylor as getting over on us. They were able to "steal" away from us a player who has been a fan favorite for several years.
Kind of an off season F U to the Dolphins.
