This movie definitely looks like the old "Re-Animator" days...but way more horrifying. I've read some posts on this where people said it ****ed them up for awhile. So as a horror fanatic...it's a must see for me.
i might watch it just to see if it conveys any type of message, but I really despise gross out just to gross out type movies.
some of them give them and those are the ones I appreciate the most, such as night of the living dead. I actually think genres like sci fi and horror are great vehicles and have been great vehicles, to convey important messages, criticisms, etc. Im not admittingly a big fan of horror though as it seems often times just to be over the top just for the sake of being over the top..... I know im a geek.
Nah...you're not a geek, it's just what you look for in a movie. Personally, most of the time I want to get the **** away from everything for an hour and a half when I'm in the movies. No message, no meaning...just entertain my *** for awhile. I have all the meaning and messages I want in day to day life.
LOL...some reviews from Rotten Tomoatoes: ~ "Although I’d certainly recommend it to hard-core horror fans, I don’t think I’d ever want to meet anyone who truly enjoyed it. " ~ "The film is strange, disturbing, gross, and shocking. I loved it!" ~ "For many, this will be just too disturbing to sit through. But stick with it, Six has crafted his picture that will remind genre fans of a young David Cronenberg, circa Dead Ringers." ~ "Burrows under the skin like a fungus and takes root in the mind, where one can scarcely believe what he or she is watching, yet can't help but be impressed by the audacity of it all. " ~ "It's definitive psychological horror, positioning the viewer to identify with the victim's suffering and lack of free will, even after harshly judging what they did with that free will when they had it." ~ "What it lacks in all time toxicity...The Human Centipede makes up for in flustering skin crawling substance. " ~ "Ably achieves its goal of providing original, eye-scrub-required horror imagery." ~ "The title only hints at the horrors within this deeply disturbing - and thoroughly original - shocker. " ~ "A horror import that actually has the confidence and audacity to deliver something disturbingly different. " ~ "Potentially this film could scar you for life. With that said, horror fans shouldn't miss the performance of Dieter Laser. Be warned, less gore than "Saw" but a hundred times more memorable." ~ "Indeed something special – a stomach-churning, darkly funny and unique piece of genre cinema that demands to be seen."
On Demand? If it's showing on Comcast's On Demand I am so there tonight. Edit: Oh yes, it is On Demand in my area!
I may be alone here, but that could be awesome to be part of the human centipede. I want to be the segment right behind the chick in the grey shirt!!
Um, watch the trailer closely, if you ain't the first guy then you are eating **** the rest of your life.
If I wasn't babysitting my two nieces (3 and 5) I would already be watching. My sister would kick my *** if they saw that.
I guess I set myself up for that by not thinking of who'd be behind ME! I'd take the other girl behind me, or the caboose position then!!
Its about an hour and a half. I skipped 5 mins at 15 mins in because I saw that part before. I skipped some other scenes because they were well drawn out. It actually could have been cut to be even shorter.
So it's a plucky laugh at life romp of a fun film? Will it be a ride at Universal??? Also judging from the trailer it does have a message lucky. When a dude that looks like that opens the door stay out in the rain.
Just got done watching it. First off, what the **** is wrong German People? The movie starts off with the typical horror storyline, two girls, Americans, are heading to a night club while visiting Germany. They make a wrong turn, get lost and bam! Tire goes flat. Cell phone coverage? Negative. They wander in the woods looking for help. Why people don't stay on the road I'll never know. They end up at the Surgeon's house and he drugs them and imprisons them and eventually bonds them with a Japanese guy he captured, creating a three person human centipede. Scary? No. Ridiculous? Yes. Horrifying? Beyond belief. The gore is there, but not over the top, the constant pain and humiliation these three people must endure is nerve wracking and will turn your stomach. The end of the movie is perhaps the most horrifying end I have ever seen. The Japanese guy (who was subtitled throughout the film) was hilarious in his rage, cursing the surgeon. The girls were hot and you got to see titties through most of the film, but the fact that the two girls were joined together took away any chance at fapping. Unless your sicker than me that is. Overall I'd say watch it if you like torture porn and enjoy a movie that will disturb the living **** out of you. If your idea of horror is PG-13 pap then run away.
Spoiler The Japanese guy was ******ed. Who the hell exchanges a lamp for a small piece of glass. Before that why didn't he take the Scapel out and repeatedly stab him?
Spoiler His intention was suicide at the point he made the exchange. How about the line "We Japanese are dangerous (or whatever he said exactly) when backed into a corner!" "****! I have to ****! I'm so sorry!" Guy had me laughing throughout the film.
Spoiler Still think he could have beaten the guy with the lamp. Before that he could have finished him. You would think someone would go on a rage and stab him like 50 times.
