http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/05/03/dez-bryants-mom-wants-an-apology-from-jeff-ireland/ hahhaahah sorry guys I had to....this is comical..... "If Dez is happy, I'll be OK. Thank God all of those teams, especially the Dolphins, passed him over.''
Yeah, I'm sure Dez and his mom would've turned down the "Fins millions. If his mom is out there giving interviews, she's made herself a public person. I'd actually like somebody to ask her what she did for a living in between prison sentences
Dez's mommy is not helping Dez's assimilation into the NFL by discussing this further. Unfortunately for Bryant this is likely to become more fodder for on field trash talking once the season starts. Man, wait til they play in Philly with all those classy Eagles fans in the stadium.
So now, neither Dez or his mother deny that the father was a pimp. So that must mean that at one point he was. Then Dez says that he never told Ireland his father was a pimp, which led to Dez telling Ireland that his mother worked for the father, which then as we all know led to Ireland asking if his mother was a prostitute. Well now, how in the heck did Ireland make that initial discovery that the father was a pimp? Were they scouting Dez in junior high. Dez is a liar, plain and simple. His mother wants a 60 minute interview, plain and simple. I hope this goes away REALLY soon as the whole situation is getting out of hand.
This after Dizzy had some nice buzz from the close of Rookie Camp with Wade Phillips kissing his butt...of course he tweaked an ankle.. Odds on a Dizzy Bryant/Eugene Parker staged holdout posted as of yet?
Whether you think the question was appropriate or not, the way Dez, and now his mother, keeps this thing alive in the media makes me glad we did not draft this guy. This is a lot of drama from a rookie before he signs a contract, much less catches a ball in the NFL.
NO, I'm glad the Dolphins passed this guy up. One week since the draft and already there's drama...NO THANKS!
I'm starting to "embrace the suck" as this story lingers. Yeah, I'll pile on... Ireland-"so pimps need accountants?!?" Dez-"No, she was his scout/GM." Ireland-"Well, I'm Bill's lil' ***** so at least we're shaving away some of the gray area..."
Well, from Dez's perspective, a crack-dealing mother is likely preferable because at least it doesn't raise any questions about the legitimacy of his birth (i.e., is he the bastard or unwanted son of a prostitute?). Damn. Taking something funny and making it serious sucks.
I wonder how this thread would look if Bill Bellichick swapped spots with Jeff Ireland on this one... hmmm...
what happened to the rest of the letter? dear hooker, i'm sorry. i left another 20 on the nightstand..this should square us up!.
The following people are also requesting an apology from Jeff Ireland. The Sky: For calling it blue The Grass: For calling it green. Water: For calling it wet. and The NHL playoffs: For calling them awesome.

Myself, I've wondered how the media would have treated this story if Belichick was the person who asked the question. I kind of think the media would have just chalked it up to Belichick being blunt but thorough.
Remember all the people around here who wanted the Dolphins to draft this clown? He'd be a much better pick-up than Brandon Marshall, blah blah blah. Where are those guys now?
I really don't know whats worse....the Bryant family keeping this story alive every day and making themselves look worse and worse everyday?...or the parts of the media who are sucking every last ounce out of this story with no regard for either party and throwing innuendo and hearsay out just to stoke this sad sad story? When is enough enough?
I'd call them out if I could remember who I had the debates with. It was with 2 or 3 guys but I can't remember who and I don't want to call the wrong guy out. And I'm too lazy to go looking for the threads. They know who they are.
And to think, Jerry Jones gave a crack whore's son the jersey number of Michael Irvin, the most outstanding, law-abiding gentleman to ever grace an NFL field. Oh wait......
Imagine if we had Cam Cameron instead of Jeff Ireland. We could have drafted Dez Bryant and his family like we did with Ted Ginn. Maybe Dez's mom could have been the secret weapon against the other team with her special skill set.
A weekend at a truck stop and the power is back on, the cell phone is back on and the car payment is made..
