I didn't really like Charlie. I liked him at first, however he got whiny and annoying. I was pretty happy he died. Now if only Kate and Sun died. Then it would have been the perfect episode. I used to have Jake, however I am liking Jack this season.
I never liked Charlie that much either but he grew on me ever since Desmond told him that he was going to die. Nikki and Paulo were the worst chracters evar. I was hoping Vincent would take a nice steaming **** on them instead of taking the tarp off.(speaking of which, where is he?) Oh and we are getting an extra half hour of Lost. http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2010/05/cuse-lindelof-and-kims-reaction-to.html I think we will find out what happens to Ji Yeon.
episode did what it had to do. wasn't one of the top episodes of the series but it was good. that said, I would really like a .gif of Lapidus eating the door. I love that man and that was an unfair way to kill him off if he turns out to really be dead. Just a 3 second death scene in the middle of everything. heck Ilana arguably got more of a death scene.
Stupid episode IMO... hate losing Sayid... the way Sun and Jin died was stupid. I didn't even realize that Lapidus apparently died. It just seems like the writers have thrown in the towel. ALthough the best thing about this season is the flash sideways and the moments that each of them are realizing something is up with Flight 815. Should have listened to Jack...
I thought the episode was great. I kept waiting for Jin to wash up on shore. I just saw his hand let go of Suns. Didn't really show him dying. (Though every hint was of that). Remember Locke said his name was on the list of Canidates. I think Desmond is alive. Sayid told Jack where to go to find him.
I think it's important that the writers have done a few interviews about last night's episode and they have never mentioned Lapidus as one of the deaths, heck they didn't even mention Lapidus at all. They just talked about Sayid, Sun and Jin. Therefore since we haven't officially gotten confirmation that Lapidus is in fact dead I think we shouldn't assume he is dead... yet.
So a friend and I were talking about last night's episode about how Sideways Locke got hurt in the new universe and about Lapidus and we came up with a pretty interesting theory that ties the sideways universe to the island for the possible end game, so I'll decide to share it with you guys: In the sideways world Locke and Jack meet in LAX, Jack gives Locke his card due to Locke's condition saying he might be able to help him. Locke refuses to call Jack. Desmond runs Locke down, therefore giving Locke and Jack another chance to meet. Locke again refuses help from Jack. Jack goes to Bernard and finds out that Locke was injuried in a plane crash, that he was the pilot. The crash also turned Anthony Cooper, his father, into a vegatable. Locke blames himself and thus doesn't want to walk again over the guilt of his father. Jack tells Locke to let it go and that he can fix him. Let's assume that Locke will eventually agree to do the surgery. Now on the island the sub is now destroyed. So how will Widmore's group get off the island, assuming that none of his crew members know how to fly a plane since Widmore's plan was to get everyone on the plane with MIB/Smokey and blow them all up together? With Lapidus seemingly dead how will they get off the island? Here's the theory: what if somehow during the new experimental surgery Sideways Locke takes back his body from MIB/Smokey? What if the castaways find a way to kill MIB/Smokey, if that's possible, and at that exactly moment Jack gives Locke some kind of magnetic energy hit (think of Desmond getting hit with the magnetic energy from the hatch explosion or when Widmore put him in that box a frew episodes ago) that somehow transports Real Locke back into his body on the island? Desmond knows all of this after he was hit by Widmore's energy field that's why he agreed to help him because he saw the future (much like what happened when the hatch blew up) and knew what would happen, that's why he hit Sideways Locke with the car because Locke needed to meet Jack again. Because all of that, the Locke now on the island will be able to fly everyone back home to safety, except Jack who's now becomes the new Jacob and Sawyer somehow turns into the new MIB (probably something to do with Kate since she's not a candidate) since after all everything is just a 'game'. And those two have been rivals since the day they first landed on the island. Anyway what do you guys think? I think it seems like something that could happen. Although I'm sure it won't be like that at all.
The finale is now 2.5 hours long. They added 1/2 and hour http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.c...e-by-extra-halfhour.html?loc=interstitialskip
Interesting theory... It's possible, but I think unlikely. For one, Locke has very little experience flying. The one time he did, he crashed. second, the plane he would have to fly requires (I image) a Pilot with significant experience flying commercial planes (Locke flew a single engine). Either way, we'll see. Next Week is the episode I've been looking forward too for a long, long time.
Jack and Sawyer's relationship seems to be heading more towards reconciliation than them being permanent enemies on the island. That's my perception anyway. I mean Jack just saved his life. If Kate dies there's no way Jack can be blamed this time. He was doing Sawyer a favor when Kate was shot. Of course with Lost pretty much anything could happen.
Good point about the difference in planes. However I think there's a big reason why Sideways Locke had taken plane lessons. Seems kind of random if there wasn't a reason for it. Agreed on next week's episode. See I still think there's tension there. Sawyer still doesn't trust Jack, hence him not listening to him and pulling the wires to the bomb. Yeah Jack saved his life but I bet Sawyer blames Jack for bringing the bomb in the sub in the first place. Remember how Jack kept saying he wasn't going to leave the island and then at the last minute he jumps back on the sub. I bet something happens to Kate and Sawyer ends up blaming Jack for her death along with Juliette and thus that's how they become the new Jacob/MIB.
I don't think Sawyer or anyone will be the "new" M.I.B. I don't see any of the characters left as evil. Sawyer has come a long way from the ******* he used to be. No reason to revert. I believe it's just Jacob's role up for grabs. And I do think Jack is the man for the job. Unless they're purposefully misleading us.
don't worry, he's the one character the writers promised would never be killed off. i'm sure he'll turn up when they inevitably get back to Rose/Bernard at some point in the finale.
Where the heck is Rose and Bernard anyway? I don't think we've even seen them on the island at all this year.
Rose and bernard will be back....I think I read somewhere that Spoiler they find Desmond in the well Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm not looking forward to next weeks show where there will be no regulars on it.....Just MIB, Jacob and maybe Claire Hope I'm wrong
You might be. I really am looking forward to it. I want some answers and I am interested in the past of Jacob and MIB. I hope Rose and Bernard survive. I was hoping they turned out to be adam nad eve
There is a spoiler out there on who they turn out to be, my brother screwed me and told me. I wanted to kill him.
to be fair he only got on the sub to get Kate aboard. it looked like he was ticked when Sawyer closed the hatch and trapped him aboard.
Sawyer listened to common sense, it wasn't a distrust of Jack. Jack was basically asking him to believe that something completely illogical was going to happen. I can't see any way for Sawyer to blame a potential Kate death on Jack. Jack was conned by MIB just like the rest of them. Not to mention Jack put his *** on the line knocking MIB in the water for Sawyer. I'm not sure there will be a new MIB. IMO there will only be a new Jacob. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Jin end up alive. All of the people who died or needed rescuing were crossed off of the list except for him and Sun. But the only name listed was Kwan. It leads me to think he may be back. It would be easy if there was an extra oxygen tank down there. The story could easily be that he didn't want Sun to die alone so he stayed down as long as he could and then grabbed a tank and went to the top. Then again I guess he could just be dead. The only motivation he would have had to come up would be his daughter. Either way I think Sun getting pinned down shows she was not the Kwan listed in the cave. It must have been Jin all along. Or maybe that whole incident was the two of them being crossed off.
are you kidding? I have to see how it ends... just have to... put seven years of my life into this show, if it had been messed up earlier on I probably would have stopped, but not now. It's not to say the end will be terrible... I'm hoping it's not, but so far I would have done things differently.
I think the show is going to end with Jack and Sawyer sitting on the island while looking at a boat with Sawyer saying, "Do you know how much I want to kill you??", and Jack saying, "I know." For someone who is trying to con a smoke monster and travelled through time, one would think Sawyer could open him mind a little.
Fair enough on your points with Jack/Sawyer. About Jin, he's been confirmed dead by the writers. But I guess that doesn't mean a thing with Lost, haha.
Thats how I thought it would end, but Sawyer isnt "evil incarnate" and I think he has shown too much growth to simply be a villain once again. It makes more sense for Jack and the MIB(still impersonating John Locke) to have that conversation.
Can't stop watching now. Been watching this thing play out for 6 season. The first 5 were awesome. The 6th......not so much. But just because I think they've done a poor job this season, I'm not just gonna stop watching with only 4 episodes left.
So in you opinion the writing is worst in this season? I dont think they are winging it now...were they during parts of season 5? I think so, but I think they have tightend it up this season. They definitely are leaving things out, important things, self admittedly I think. However the true overall theme still applies I think and the importance of that theme and the answer to it will be revealed.
I think the writing has been pretty good this season as well. I think it's clear they had a plan and followed through with it. I think at times in Season 3, 4 and 5 you could tell they didn't really know where they were going with things at times for sure.
Agreed there, I turned several of my friends onto it an they have watched it straight through from 1 to almost current. interestingly they feel that its tops on keeping with a theme and sticking with it, with only minor setbacks. I dont agree with them, but I also havent watched it without long layoffs to pick holes in the plot and writing. Sadly I will not have that experience either.
I didn't know Jin was confirmed dead. I guess that means we've probably seen the last of him on the island. I'm still really curious about Dharma and why they were in a conflict with the Others. I'd also love to know why they murdered everybody from Dharma if they were being led by Jacob who is supposed to be good.
Yeah the writers have done a few interviews since the episode aired and confirmed that Jin, Sun and Sayid are dead. But that doesn't mean we won't see them in the sideways universe. Yeah I'd love to know about that Dharma stuff. But I don't think we're going to get those answers unfortunately. I think that storyline for whatever reason has been completely dropped. Kind of sucky if you ask me since so much time was spend on it.
I won't go into great detail about what I was hoping to see from the final season, since it's not over yet, I could be pleasantly surprised. One thing I am majorly disappointed about though is the lack of development regarding the mythology of the island. They spent all this time developing the history of Dharma over the first what 80% of the show, completely throw it out the window. Now, they introduce the MIB vs Jacob background and they haven't really gone into it to that same degree. I don't see how they'll be able to satisfy that requirement in the last few episodes.
I completely agree with this statement. It almost feels like this season and last have been a spin off show of what Lost used to be. Ever since the time travel stuff they have completely ignored important storylines and plot points in favor of time travel, sideways universe and Jacob/MIB.
