"I want to report to you that Marshall, who came to the Dolphins with a reputation as something of a problem child in Denver, has worked hard to earn the respect of his new team in the first month or so in Miami. You will remember Marshall came into town April 14 to take a physical and sign his contract. It was a long day for him. Well, he was in the weight room, working out with his teammates early the next day. Several players noticed." Good to see Marshall making an effort. Good signs, but will he be a good boy once other WR make more than him a few years hence? Or during a losin streak if he isn't being thrown to much?
He has done everything perfectly since his arrival. It seems as though Marshall is giving his best effort to become a better football player and a better person. His actions so far have confirmed what the front office must have seen in Brandon as a person to sign off on the trade, which is very comforting. Regardless of how this whole situation turns out in the coming years, it's nice to know he's trying
Marshall was never that type of receiver. That's a TO type receiver. BM was a disruptive guy but it had nothing to do with on the field antics. Too often people try to turn him into this locker room/football field problem when his problems were never about playing.
Well, sort of, there was the incident at practice where he was knocking balls away from himself, and the game #16 deal where he claimed his hip wasn't 100% and McDaniels deactivated him. That said, Marshall was not known as a cancer in the locker room, he wasn't the type who was surly with is teammates ala Joey Porter, but he was deeply offended that the Broncos would not upgrade his contract and he was also really peeved that the domestic violence stuff, even though he was acquitted, was still being held against him in contract negotiations. Denver was just a bad situation for him.
I think he will, and he will bring some star power to the Dolphins. A blue collar team is fine, but you need some stars to attract interest in the team...
so marshall is doing what he should be doing as a team mate. why is this news? besides his hatred for mcdaniels and wanting to be paid his worth he never had problems with other players in denver. the article is pointless really.
I was initially against trading for Marshall but it was never about him being a team distraction or cancer. He has been very productive, even with a mediocre quarterback. I wasn't for trading for BM because of apprehension about his off the field problems and he has shown everything he could show thus far about being a team player and wanting to fit in. IMHO Miami hasn't had a WR with his talent in a very, very long time. The threat he presents could elevate the game of everyone playing around him.
Thank you. I hope I will. I just wish they'd give me that contract to sign already. Oh wait... you mean the other Brandon.. Its only been a month for Marshall, nice to see some positive signs though that this may work for him. Hopefully it does, he's incredibly talented, I'd hate to see him "waste" it by becoming another TO
Come on Bro, let's be honest here, you couldn't replace Geroy Simon let alone The Beast... Well, so far BMarsh is just acting like any normal teammate, what do they expect him to do hold a weekly presser and fly a personal jet?
I LOVE that BM is fitting in just fine and putting a great, new foot forward. He's a game-breaker WR and happy he's on our side. I'm so frickin anxious to get the season underway.
