Interesting, and not just from a "stick the dagger in Bryant's kidney" perspective, but from the contrast between what the Tuna said about Romo in 06, and the approach the current Cowboys regime has taken concerning Dez Bryant.

    PFT is garbage...

The part about Bryant being out of shape is a little confusing. He's been out of football for eight months: why are people surprised about his conditioning? And twisting an ankle is somehow anything but accidental and should be held against him? Really?

This feels like someone is laying the groundwork for an "I told you so" if Bryant busts.

Odd, I think Dez Bryant is the largest determinant of whether he busts or not?

Not some silly website, that is unless Florio has a Dez Bryant voodo doll?

I'm not quite sure what your point is here. Of course Bryant is the largest determinor of his own success. I never said anything to the contrary.

Doesn't sound in the least professional or even legit for that matter. If "they'd" written that in the first-person, no one would take it seriously.

Since the beginning of the concept of "printed news", reporters have used anonymous sources to gather information.
Tim Graham, for instance, uses anonymous sources.Mike Lombardi, Peter King, Dave Hyde, Armando Salguero, etc. They all use them.

plays into the personality profile that emerged on the guy. zero family structure. guy grew up being a star football player where he was protected by his coaches for the last eight years. i doubt he's been called out on the carpet too many times in those eight years. Being coddled constantly and being able to rely on one's athleticism make for a player that will have a difficult time adjusting to having to work his *** off and being criticised when warranted. The Cowboys will have an interesting time trying to find the best way to motivate Dez. Right now it seems that they have taken the same approach as his past coaches which is positive reinforcement. I think it reinforces the perception that Dez doesnt handle criticism well

I think it's mostly praising for reputation control purposes. A reputation is hard to get rid of whether it was ever warranted or not. The Dolphin's FO faces the same kind of thing with their reputation for arrogance. IMO it's a better strategy to not talk about him at all and hope that eventual on field accomplishments replace the old reputation.
