This was a pretty pathetic end to the Cavs season, but you gotta give credit to the Celtics, they turned it on when it counted. The Cavs were crowned champions all season long and it goes to show you, sometimes even when the NBA wants a certain team in the finals, it doesn't always work like that. They flat out played bad basketball down the stretch. Another factor you have to consider is the presence of Shaq, and whether or not he's detrimental to the team like he was here and in Phoenix(and LA, and Orlando).
This is the first time I've ever been upset after a basketball game. Like I thought game 3 and 5 were pathetic, but I didn't get hung up too much on it, but this will leave a very bad taste in my mouth for a long time. I usually only feel this way after bad football games, I don't know if that's good or bad to feel like it after a basketball game.
Nah AK47 is a bigger flopper then Pierce imo. For the all beotch team: PG: ??? SG: Manu SF: AK47 PF: Varejao C: Noah 6th man: Pierce
If your a Cavs fan you have every right to feel that way....they came into the playoffs looking Finals Bound...then they go down w/o much of a fight imo.
All depends on FA. Obviously there are some dark horse teams that could sway James but it would be hard. I think people saying the Nets are on Crack. The only way this happens if he signs a 1-2 year deal with the Cavs the Nets get Wall and move to Brooklyn. If the Nets don't get Wall they have no chance. Knicks really only have a Big Market to offer James they can't say "James we are 1 super star away from winning it all"
I saw this movie before. I am a heat fan. The 05' heat was just as hot and a very similar team...with SVG as the coach as well.... That heat team smashed the Nets and and Wizards in 8 total games...with SHAQ sitting out games as well... That Heat team ran into the Pistons and lost in 7. This Celtics team is a clone of that Pistons team. I am waiting on a series price. and betting Boston.
I was pretty sure both D-Wade and Lebron were going to stay with their teams. Now I'm not so sure about Lebron. Wade I'm still 100% certain he will be back. Lebron I'm at 75% now.
I know that dude. Im havin fun with it. I just posted it on Bosh's twitter haha. The Knicks have more then a big market. Lebron gets to bring a player who can get the job done like Bosh or Amare. Lebron has never had a player who can pick him up at all. The idea of having a stud player alongside him plus a young star like Gallinari who will take the big shot has to be appealing to him. More appealing then playing with Slag Jamison, Flop Varejao anyway. Agree that people saying the Nets are probably wrong but its not crazy. If Wall gets drafted, Harris then gets traded because Wall is their PG. So you deal Harris for a PF next to Lopez. Terrence Williams becomes your SG/defensive stopper. Its not as crazy as you believe. The fun part is that we get to find out soon. I think youre wrong. This magic team is better then that Heat team in my opinion. And I dont think the Celtics are as good as those Pistons
Whoa...blasphemy..that Heat team had D-Wade and Good Shaq while winning 59 games.......that is a wrap. Needless to say..I disagree.
I'd be shocked if Bosh goes somewhere other than the Heat. I'm not a huge fan of Amare. I don't think he would be a huge upgrade over David Lee to be honest. It all hinges on the Nets getting the number 1 pick and finding a suitor for Harris (which wouldn't be to hard.) Where does everyone have Rudy Gay going? I hope he goes to Minnesota and have a Gay Love combo. If the Magic get passed the C's like I think they will I think they win it all.
The Herald headlines have many possibilities..... "Miami gets Gay". "Pat Riley goes Gay". "Wade gets Gay to complete threesome with Bosh".
Jamal Mashburn..... Is talking about Clutch Play in the playoffs on ESPN right now. In other news... Osama Bin laden is talking about High Rise construction techniques on TLC. and Hitler is talking about his favorite Jewish holliday's on the Food network. **** You Mash.
All it takes for Bosh is one call from Lebron. Its not that Amare is much better then Lee...its that he is a legit 7' footer as opposed to Lee being 6'9" and being a more dominant force offensively. He's also a harder defensive matchup then Lee is. I liked watching Lee the last few years and he's made huge strides but Im not sure hes not at his ceiling. I think the Nets are the only other team with a shot to get Lebron if he leaves Cleveland.
Watching LeBron's press conference, with him saying he already has a gameplan in place for the off-season and him not giving a straight answer to whether or not he is staying, tells me that he's as good as gone. I would put my personal percentage chance of him leaving at about 80% now, that press conference, with him acting very nervous while answering the question does not bode well for Cavs fans.
If LeBron wants to win a championship immediately the best place is in Miami. If he wants to be The Guy and hope that a team can find enough complementary pieces to make a serious run ASAP, he might as well stay in Cleveland, because teams like the Knicks and Bulls can't offer him a better roster to play with. Here's the big question: does LeBron want to have a very good chance to win multiple titles as a #2 (or a co-#1 at best) or does he want to mount halfhearted playoff runs as the #1? My gut feeling is that he stays and talks about how "close" Cleveland is to a title. But if he does leave, you have to think Miami is his ideal destination.
Watching that game last night...I gotta say though KG, say what you want about him...dude has heart.....mega heart......Bron needs to learn from that...
Know there are a lot of LeBron haters on the board - and wow, he gave you some fodder this series. I know this is a playoff board, so I apologize for going OT, but how long (if ever) till Bron takes it serious enough and gets the killer instinct to win a championship? (Not trying to sell Boston short - even if Bron had tried in games 2, 4 and 5 they may still have won.)
I could see the Magic making an offer to Wade. He has said he wanted to play with Howard before. The Magic would be favorites every year if that happened. They have great depth there.
It seemed to me that LeBron was just waiting to see if any of his teammates would show up. They didn't. I think he was sending a message to the owners too. Mo Williams tried his best, but he's not good enough. Shaq has been washed up for years. He needs to retire. He went to Cleveland because he thought LeBron could win a championship by himself or with the help of Stern and the refs. He was clearly riding the coat tails of Bron. Like most of his team.
The problem isn't LeBron -- has a team ever won a championship with such a lousy supporting cast? The rest of the team sucks. I know hindsight is 20/20 but that Jamison deal turned out to be a trainwreck (not only this year, seeing as how he didn't show up in the playoffs, but also removing any semblance of financial flexibility for that franchise heading into this offseason). As far as NBA superstars go, I like LeBron -- alot. And he's only 25, he'll be fine, whether its in Cleveland or somewhere else. Jordan didn't win his first title until he was 28 and he needed Pippen to do it.
