Wow the Patriots fans in the comments are so high up on their horse its not even funny.

Does anyone else get frustrated by the fact that everyone pretty much forgets that we won the division two years ago?

I just sit back and laugh. I know our day is coming...and it is very close. 10 years ago you couldn't pay someone to be a Pats or a Bucs fan. Finally the Bucs band wagon jumpers are starting to go back into their holes and it won't be long before the Pats wagon jumpers will succumb to mediocrity and disappear as well. We are rightfully contenders of the AFC East title. If we stay healthy and play hard we stand a chance to win every game. We had the Saints and the Colts beat last year. If we finished what we started we win those games. The time for us to rally around our Dolphins and take back what is rightfully ours is now. We need to take back our stadium from the wagon jumpers and make our mark as 1 of the toughest stadiums to play in. I'm babbling now it's late.

Nice to see someone w/ thier head on straight. We've got more talent than the Patriots, and more depth than the Jets. We were 3-1 against them last year, and yeah, we were 7-6 despite losing Penne, Brown, Cobbs, Fasano, Crowder, Ferguson, Allen, Grove, Soliai, Smiley, and Porter for significant stretches. Staying healthy alone wouldve added 3 wins to the record. The 2010 Fins would mop the floor with the squad who went 11-5 and won the division in 2008.

This is a 7-9 team. I'm not buying into the "expectation" game. It's a 7-9 team until they prove otherwise.

Amen. Save the hype for the Jets.

This time of year is infamous for expectations. On paper, every team and their fans feels it's improved. The real questions begin once the pads come on in late July. At any rate, we've discussed the demise of the pasties ad nauseum. Will the poor personnel selections of the past 2-3 yrs finally catch up to them ?? Don't know, but they still have Brady, Moss, Welker (albeit injured right now) and most importantly BB. They continue to add new blood, some veteran and some rooks and yet continue to win. The fans there have the right to feel they are being slighted by this writer...however, he makes some very good points. We have our own question marks about our team (FS, RG, #2WR, SOLB, WOLB, NT). We have pieces in place, but will they work out ?? The jests have made all the splashy moves, including dumping or letting go some guys that have been a big part of their success last season. Have they replaced the production they got from Jones and Washington ?? Not sure, but we'll see how it shakes out. They are getting a lot of press with Woody Johnson and Sexy Rexy making all the headlines, but I think that is calculated to take the pressure off the players...at any rate, it's going to be a dogfight (pardon the expression, Mike Vick) in the AFCE this season. I'm glad to be there...

Yeah, but I think it's viewed with an "asterisk" by Pats fans since Brady was hurt that whole year (minus the plays he had versus KC in the opener). So in their mind, it wasn't legit.

It's good to see that someone is on the Dolphins bandwagon but I don't know how accurate that is now but I would believe that Miami will win the division. I don't doubt that.

The AFC East is a three team race and only the Bills are in for a very long season. I have no idea why New England fans still think they are the team to beat. Most of the key players from their SB years are long gone....yes, they still have Brady and a few older vets, but they are no longer the feared team they once were. Henne is getting better all the time and finally has a #1 WR in Henne. We have improved the most.

The same reason we thought we were the team to beat in 2009: the Patriots are the most recent division title winners.
