the Hogan era in TNA has been an unmitigated disaster, unfortunately. while is on-screen character says all the right stuff about the future of the business and doing things right, all his cronies under contract who eat up air time and the company's money says the exact opposite is what is really going on.

I actually met Meltzer about 10 years ago...nice guy.

As for the announcement...it is indeed sad. I really think they need to STOP moving this program around. If I wasn't plugge din to the internet, I would have given up on trying to flag down just where in the hell this show is right now.

Moving to Thursdays truly is a white flag of defeat and a crippling blow to that lockerroom. Spike no longer has faith in this product and I give it no more than 18 months before this operation is gone for good. I assume the live shows will be gone now too.

Anyone know if the Thursday impact replay got better ratings last week?

TNA's Thursday Impact did a .69 which was higher than the original airing sadly.

Yeah I'd give TNA 20 to 24 months before they close up shop as well. If Spike won't give them air time I can't see what channel would. And without TV the product is worthless.

Ironically, I think tonight's show was the best one in the Hogan era. I really enjoyed the first half hour and the chaotic-ness of it.

Plus, putting Hogan and Flair (and Sting) to the side for a moment, guys like Styles, RVD, Jeff Hardy, The Pope, Mr. Anderson, Desmond Wolfe and Beer Money Inc. seem to be getting legit shots near or at the top of the card. That...is a good thing. The workers in TNA are much better than those in the WWE overall in my opinion.

I really am digging the new don'tcallthemhorsemen faction of AJ, Wolfe, and Beer Money. It might be the best group in wrestling in a long time. But they have abandoned their gameplan so many times that people will lose faith.

Bubba the Love Sponge may be right when he calls Dixie a mark and someone who bases all decisions weekly on internet reports. That is not good for a long term company plan.

As for Raw. It was...okay. Nothing too offensive or anything too great. I like the idea of Jericho and Miz teaming up, but only in the short term as I would like to see Jericho move on to something else and Miz eventually feud with Bryan. Also, it was good to see Dan Bryan on Raw and have a good showing against Batista. Although, they REALLY need to start letting him win against other rookies. It is silly to see him hold his own against a main eventer and then lose out in thre eminutes to other rookies.

Edge/Orton was odd as the crowd just shat all over Edge who didn't seem to go 100% into heel mode until later on (when the promo got better because of it).

The rest of the show wa sjust kind of...there...

Any word on why Drew McIntyre was (kayfabe) fired?

I know I was wondering the same thing, the guy looked like a legit up and comer. The only thing I can think of is he married Tiffany recently but I doubt that has anything to do with it since she was on Smackdown this week. I hope they leave him on Smackdown and don't move him to RAW.

He isn't actually fired. Remember, when it comes to wrestling, if it happens on tv, its kayfabe. He may have violated the wellness policy which could write him off for a little while. Or they could simply be using thi as a storyline.

I wouldn't read too much into it to be honest.

    It should be interesting.

I'd have both Hardy and McIntyre stay off the show for a few weeks. Then after Over The Limit, having Drew come back, stating how Vince McMahon rectified T. Long's "mistake". Right in the middle of the promo, Hardy comes into the ring and violently beats Drew. Then have the rivalry go back and forth for a few months.

    But that's just me.

Just read the Smackdown spoilers. Kind of a cop out and cheap way to end that IC title angle.

Kofi beat Christian to win the IC title but Teddy Long came out and said McMahon ordered him to reinstate Drew and give him back his title.

I could see a match for the IC title at Over The Limit.

Early word is the WWE wants to run a Swagger/Undertaker and Edge/Triple H program for Summer Slam, as well as a Kofi vs. MVP feud this summer with one of them turning heel and getting a huge push. MVP should be the heel.

Odd to see Hart as the U.S. Champ. I assume he will retire and a tournament will be held for the title in which The Miz and Danielson end up in the finals? Not sure, but Bret Hart shouldn't be anywhere near a ring ever again. The guy couldn't even get on the ring ropes last night.

According to Bret, he didn't even know he was booked in that match until Friday when his son read it on the internet.

yeah, that was really sad. they booked it right though, as a No DQ, to hide it, with all the run- ins.

i pray they don't make him get back in the ring again. bad performance aside, i just don't see any upside for him, health wise.

that said, as soon as he is done with WWE this time, i bet TNA will offer him a main event on their next TV show.

i haven't watched the entire show yet, but Edge vs Christian was a really solid match. and the fans were eating it up it seemed.

but did Edge let his gym membership expire or something? he has very little muscle tone left on him. he is suffering from the early stages of Flair-sag-syndrome.

Sadly Bret right now is still a better worker than Hogan ever was.

About Edge, blame the Wellness Policy. Seriously he looks like a different guy without any muscles. I was never huge like Triple H but he didn't look like Rey Mysterio circa WCW 1996 era either like he does now.

So Randy "Macho Man" Savage apparantly got himself hitched ... and boy have the years not been kind to him.

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...s-of-Macho-Man-Randy-Savages-wedding-day.html

He looks like he's aged 20 years in the last 5 or so. I'm still holding out for a WWE HOF induction ... and I think he'd be a great mouthpiece/manager for a young star on the roster. Then again, WWE doesn't use managers anymore so perhaps just getting to see him one last time would suffice.

Oh Savage is a first ballot HOFer. He should get in no doubt, the question is just when since McMahon holds a grudge with him for unknown reasons. As great as he was I really have no interest in seeing him as a manager or anything else outside of a one time appearance maybe as a special guest ref or guest host. The longer we see the older wrestlers the more pathetic they look nowadays, especially with them getting into the ring to 'wrestle' (i.e. Bret Hart, Hogan, Flair).

Probably, not like it would make any difference at all. I wouldn't be shocked if he failed it on purpose since he's been begging to get out of the WWE for years now.

Probably Puerto Rico bound to be honest... If TNA brings in a guy who was just publicly outed as a druggie...it wouldn't look good.

Then again...RVD IS their world champion.
