Bring me a guy with 99 acc 99 agility and 97 speed in madden and i will dominate it like madden 10. In real life it shouldnt be a problem with marshall but we need a guy to stretch the field. Almost wished we kept Ginn for that threat alone. He dropped all the passes that bess, hartline, or marshall could catch but he never dropped the rare 50+ yd bomb.

He wasn't struggling with drops when he caught 7 for 175 in 2008! :wink2:

Those drops against the Colts and Saints make me want to punch through my dry wall right now. I wish him luck but glad he is gone.

''sweet'' ...LOL....now that is funny Rafie, lol

They sure do go at it sometimes, I like to think of them kinda like brothers who are opposites...I dont like to see them go too hard at each other because I like and understand both their personalities and takes...at some point, I hope they find a common ground...

Once we go to the superbowl, and we go to a phins.com superbowl party in miami, were all gonna get drunk and squash it anyways. lol

Seriously though, if we do, then we all should try to make it..

That would be fun as hell, to put a face on all you mother grabbers?...lol

Lets see?, who would I like to see in person?and get hammered with?...so many, i'll be passed out at the half, lol..

What a trip that would be, pure comedy..thats gotta happen one day.

I had us drafting the player, and I had us trading the player this offseason...lol.

No regrets from here on out, however, I agree with JS and others about the relevance of the topic until he proves either way....I dont wish bad times on him {even though after seeing him in that "fu$# humble" tshirt i lost respect for him}, but I am on the record for moving the player, so his struggles, or positive impact, are relevant in the back of my mind for personal evaluation reasons.

that picture reflects the 2 reasons why I wanted to trade Ted ginn..

1} I watched Tracy Porter man handle him all game, and I mean all game at the LOS..no chance to beat the Jam, physically ted was dominated, and intimidated...that was the moment where it was cemented for me.

2} his slight frame and build was his biggest weakness..it allowed him to get dominated, outmuscled, out positioned, which in turn, fu$#ed with his head, compounding the problem, which produced untimely negative results.

Ginn Has GREAT Day At Practice

Just to balance out all the bashing. It was reported that Ginn had a great day today. Hopefully all these threads can get moved to "Rest of the NFL" soon, once we stop bashing and obsessing over Ginn.

Good for him. Unfortunately, I don't see him being any different in SanFran (as a WR). If they let him return ALL punts and kicks, I think he'll make an impact.

:confused2:Is this really another Ginn thread???????? Is it really necessary to post every move he makes??? To each his own,I guess , but Ginn is in the past. Lets concentrate on Marshall and our Dolphins.

I've never understood this need for absolute, strict posting boundaries. [No offense intended]

The guy was here a month ago.

Thousands upon thousands of posts were about him.

I think we can discuss former players on this forum. That includes Ted Ginn, Jason Taylor, Joey Porter and anybody else of relevance. If you're not interested in the topic, that's cool. But I would disagree with the view that the topic is not relevant to this forum.

I, for one, am interested in how Ginn's doing and if his deficiencies follow him, or whether he's able to overcome them. The 49ers thought enough to give us something for him. As such, I'm interested in knowing how the deal is beginning to shake out.

Common sense applies, of course. We don't need daily threads. But the general idea is fine IMO.

Plus it's May. It's not like there's much going on.

I'm rooting for Ginn... but seriously one day of catches does not prove squat, he needs to do that for an entire season. He had an entire season marred with drops last season. A single day of doing what a WR should, does not suddenly mean his past is behind him.

That said, I do hope the kid makes a career for himself. He really just seemed like a good guy, and I was hoping he would succeed, am hoping he succeeds, and will continue to.

I think left out of the original article was that Singletary said a bunch of WRs had problems with drops and there was a light rain at the time.

Ginn has never disappointed in the preseason, including the last one here. Lets wait for actual games.

WHY THE HELL ARE WE DISCUSSING THIS IN THE DOLPHINS FORUM??

Hes not a dolphin anymore.. This should be in the other NFL teams folders not here, and why do we care about him anymore? He's gone.. He Suxed, He Will SUX, we have more pressing issues than worrying if GINN can catch a freaking ball.. DAMN YOU CAM CAMERON!!!

I think the reason he's so polarizing to some us is that when his potential flashed, it really impressed. A couple of those kick returns, the TD when he burned Revis, a couple of those nice reverses.

The raw talent was there, but he could never string together consecutive games. Just like his practices in SF so far, apparently.

I'm in the camp that I'm glad he's not a Dolphin, but not because I hate him, but because where he was drafted he was set up with very unrealistic expectations that he'd never live up to. He's just not that good a player.

I hope the kid finds something in the NFL he excels at and impacts whatever team he plays for positively, because I do believe he's talented and a good kid, just not an awful WR.
