No, because if the Heat "dominated", the outcome of the game shouldn't have come down to a single shot at the end.

Again with your "dominated"? Going into the 4th quarter the Heat were DOWN BY 6. And let's not forget Ray Allen missed 3 straight FT's which I think you would never bet on him to miss 3 straight FT's.

As you said to me earlier when I pointed out the fact that in the first 2 games, the Magic only lost by 4 and 3:
"They were down by damn near 20 in each game. AT HOME. In the Playoffs. You spell that like this: P.R.O.B.L.E.M." But now that it's the Heat, as long as they cut it close, that's all that matters.

Your posts are obviously skewed by your undeniable infatuation with the Heat. You may have won a few bets, but relax. You're not a basketball god now because if you were big time like you think you are by winning a few bets, then maybe you should inquire about the vacant head coach position in Cleveland.

Well, this trend should continue throughout the finals, seeing as how Rondo is going to absolutely dominate any combination of Laker guards that Phil decides to use in defending him.

It should be a pleasure to watch.

Bro you hit the nail on the head, and the Stanley Cup playoffs have fizzled out as well.

Hopefully the Lakes and Celtics will be an epic Finals as so far..

Blowout after blowout after blowout, it could be argued that Pierce's buzzer beating shot v the Heat was the most exciting thing that has happened in over a month of NBA "action".

You seize on one word and try to form an argument around it. Watch the games. The Heat had the flow of that game 3 from the start. FLOW tells you who is playing well and who is not. Game 4 was the same story.

Orlando has not played ANYWHERE near as good as the Heat did against the Celtics. Period. That is the end of the argument. The Heat was the clear cut inferior team to the Celtics and fought HARD in every game except game 2, when they got blitzed and blown out. The Magic was the clear cut better team going in (They were the favorites) and they have been dominated in every game.

Sorry, but I am objective when it comes to basketball. hey..look at my predictions on a year in and out basis...I happen to get alot of them right for some reason.

I never claimed to be a basketball god...or "big time" because I won some bets. but I sure as ****, know a thing or two about basketball.

and yes..I would do a better job than Mike Brown did.

Cleveland's weather sucks...but if they come up with some money...I would take it.

Now go back to predicting doom at every turn. That is what we are used to.

Nope. I've never seen Derrick Rose play before. Er, I've never seen him play defense before. :glare:

If you're suggesting that Rose is better than Rondo with a jumpshot then that's beyond laughable.

Personal preference. Baseball is semi-garbage to watch to me, and the MLB (joke of a league) makes it even worse. I grew up playing football, basketball, and soccer so the NFL, NBA, NCAA, and World Cup are my viewing preferences.

I'm a Marlins fan and know everything about every player on the team... follow them closely... still can't sit down and watch a full game. In fact, I cannot bring myself to watching a full baseball game at all until the postseason. Even then, I rarely watch entire games. MLB is a joke. Just a bunch of performance enhancement junkies playing on high salaries.

I think the Celtics destroy the Lakers too....the Celts are gonna start throw elbows, and hard fouling them, and they are just going to bow out, like before......Perkins has done really well against one of the more physical centers in the league, Gasol?? Bynum?? Lakers better hope Kobe goes off for like 45 a night.....

these games seem like college games too me...

hockey fizzled cuz there are no stars left to watch...Chicago is brillant though...

What's laughable is you're reading something that was never written. Everyone is gonna ride whoever is hot. When Deron Williams and the Jazz beat the Nuggets, Deron Williams was the best. When Nash beat the Spurs, he was getting a lot of press. But lets not get bent over by ESPN and just use some common sense and look at the opponents:

Steve Nash vs. Andre Miller, Tony Parker/George Hill, and now Derrick Fisher.

Deron Williams vs. Chauncy Billups and then D. Fisher/Kobe Bryant.

Rajon Rondo vs. Carlosy Arroyo, Mo Williams, and now Jameer Nelson.

Just like when Miami went on that win streak towards the end of the season, everyone worshiped the Heat but it wasn't saying much because the majority of the teams were not impressive. Or when everyone was riding the Magic when they swept the Bobcats and Hawks. And now its Rondo's turn for the media. But again, look who he's been up against compared to the other 2 elite PG's in the Playoffs.

You said if Rondo develops a jumpshot, he'll easily be the best PG without debate. Now I'd like to see how Rondo would do without 3 of the other 4 starters being future Hall of Famers. If you assume Rondo is going to improve on his weakness, then you also have to assume Derrick Rose will too. Now you mean to tell me Derrick Rose with improved defense is nowhere near the capabilities of Rondo with improved shooting?

Depends, to me the Lakers will take away Rondo and force the rest of the team to make up for him.

One of the things that makes the Celts so unpredictable is Sheed, the guy was a fish for most of the regular season, now he is playing at a high level on offense and defense, that is one thing the lakers cannot really match, a focused Sheed Wallace is a bear to deal with, Gasol can't do it, Bynum has a MCL tear, they have no matchup answers for him.

Just the team with the most skilled veterans mowed down everyone else, Los Suns don't play defense and cannot match the Lakers bigs, the Celts just ambushed the Magic and performed flawlessly.

The other night I mentioned "now the vets will have to make free throws" with about 3 minutes to go, and Pierce made the last two to ice the game.

The RSA is 6 hours ahead of EST, if they play most of the important matches in the evening they won't air in the US until midnight or later.

If you made a list of teams that can "take away" rondo..I think the lakers would rank near the bottom.

To hard to take away Rondo..he is the ultimate facilitator. He is not looking to effect the game. he is looking to manage it.

The best strategy is what the Heat did. Play a 2-3 zone and let him shoot from the outside. In 5 games they got mixed results...better than matching up one on one.

Actually, what's laughable is your lack of knowledge of the term "if"

I'm not everyone. I don't ride whoever is hot. I watch basketball. Steve Nash is one of the worse defenders in the league and I've been stating that forever; he's never been the best PG to me. Not even when he won back to back (BS) MVP awards. Deron Williams is a different story; he is another guy who does it on both ends, although Rondo is a better one on one defender. Rondo is more complete on both ends of the floor than any of the players you've mentioned above.

So let's disregard Kobe Bryant's 81 because it was against Toronto.

Hmmm, interesting "point" since pretty much all of us Heat fans knew not to get worked up because we knew we were beating the scum of the league during that stretch, aside from the OT victory over LAL. I also find it funny how everyone "worshiped" the Heat... who is everyone and where did you find them? 85% basketball "analysts" picked Boston over Miami in the first round of the playoffs. I don't know what you're talking about.

Also, people rode Orando because they were the defending conference champions, and up until this series they've done nothing to prove they weren't as good or better than last year. That is the team the majority is supposed to ride.

Again... let me break it down for you in simple terms...

Rondo's game is merely missing a jumpshot, which has seen slight improvement.

Rose's game is missing the same (although he's a better shooter, but that doesn't say much) along with the ability to stay in front of the man he's defending. There is a major difference in two players in question not being an efficient shooter, and one not being an efficient shooter plus being a below average defender while the other is an elite defender.

    Rondo has one flaw.

Rose has two, and one of those flaws enables the opposition to match him offensively on any given night. Boy I'm hungry for some fruit right now... Apples & Oranges anyone?

Funny thing is that I've yet to call Rondo the best PG in basketball. I've merely stated that if he improves his jumper over the summer, he'll be above and beyond the rest of the competition. Deron Williams is the best PG in the league, IMO.

Don't let the stats fool you, though, Derrick Rose has a ways to go. Wouldn't even put him in my top 5. There are 2-guards who are better points than Rose. I'm not hating on Rose... I love watching the guy play... but let's be real. I often question whether or not he should even get the label of a "point guard"

I am pretty tired of the talk about Rondo playing with the "Big 3" though, when he's easily been THE most consistent basketball player on that team. I've seen him do it with both Pierce and Jesus off. I've seen him do it with KG bringing absolutely nothing on the offensive end. Stop lowering his praise to due supporting cast. If you're going to go that route, then please stop calling Kobe Bryant the best player in basketball. Between Shaq and Gasol, his success rate was......? Right. Doesn't matter how good a player is. Everyone NEEDS help.

I absolute agree with what Jalen Rose said. He said that Dwight Howard got his "Superman" nickname from the dunk competition and not from his gameplay.

Orlando didn't roll over like a bunch of babies. If you haven't noticed, both game 1 and game 2 were very close. So, that statemant makes no sense.

Also, don't know why you're excited. You needed 42 from Amare to win this game. That isn't going to happen again. Enjoy it now, but the Suns aren't winning this series.

    bitter much?

For starters the Magic dig themselves a hole early in the game and claw their way back but its too little to late. The Suns play the Lakers tight and they usually fall apart in the 4th.

At least the Suns can they wont get sweep'd

Yes, I am bitter. My team is on the verge of getting swept, and a Bills fan comes here and trashes them. What do you expect?

All I know is, the Finals matchup is as good as done. It's going to be Lakers vs Boston.

Phoenix and LAL can get really interesting... in reality, Phoenix has no chance to actually win the series, IMO. They can make it interesting, though. I had no interest in that series from the moment it was set, but if Phoenix can somehow put it together again and win Game 4...

Poor shot selection + turnovers = Clearly the better basketball team throwing this game away.

Do they realize that while up 3-0 only 1 of the remaining 3 is at home?

KG holding Barnes when Allen hit that 3 was pretty bad. Allen elbowing Reddick early in OT.

Allen hits another 3? Seems to be the only Celtic that can score.

    Big mistake by KG.

Paul Pierce is a bum. Biggest choke of a 32/11 game I've ever witnessed. It's not even that he missed shots, it's that he hogged the ball when he had a teammate next to him that couldn't miss.
