A nice one, the home orange, XL, one third of the price they normally are even on Ebay.

Not sure if it is from the early 00's or this past season though.

Now here is why I bought it:

Every year I pick up a couple of jerseys that fit what I think the team needs that year, last season it was Griese for Henne and Larry Little for Donald Thomas and Big Jake Long.

This year, the need is on defense, so I wanted some classic Dolphins defensive players jerseys to sort of get into the spirit of "the defense must improve".

    But who would that be?

After thinking about this and examining Zach Thomas,Sam Madison ("teal" only), a knock off YBell, Joey Porter, Junior Seau, there were no other "great" Dolphins defensive players who had a home orange jersey available, and 300 dollars to the NFLShop is out of my price range.

Porter was a jerk all three years here, we have veterans at ILB so Zach Thomas was out, the knock off YBell was not acceptable.

So that left Taylor or incredibly expensive Nick Bouniconti and Junior Seau.

So Seau and Taylor it was, Seau for Misi, Taylor for Cam Wake and the rest of the OLB's, we can only hope Misi turns out to be "our" Lamarr Woodley.

Taylor, at the end of the day, will go down as the greatest Dolphins defensive player, even if he is a self centered schmuck who currently is wearing a puke green #95.

So have I sold out my dolfans fandom or am I correct about a Orange Taylor jersey?

I wouldn't say you sold out dolphin fans. You were sticking to tradition.

Also, you are one of the most unique men I know.

    Thanks..I think..:D

I also put in a bid on one of the jacked up Brandon Marshall #85 jerseys, the way I see it once he picks a number they will be a piece of Dolphins lore sorta like Mike Vick and "Ron Mexico"...

I hadda have a Orange one for this upcoming year and mostly what was there were offensive players like Ronnie and Ricky, and we need the defense to improve so they wouldn't fit.

I probably would have waited until his time with the Jets ended. But you probably got a much better deal than you will get when he ends his career and retires a Dolphin like Zach just did. Just don't wear it during a Dolphins/Jets game this year and I think your Dolphins fandom will be OK.

Horrible tradition buying jersey's of traders..

Seau, Taylor, Izzo, all scums who left us to go to a division rival.

This is why Zack Thomas is a man among boys..

And that is another point, they all left, scrolling through all of those jerseys it dawned on me, none of them, not one, finished their careers in Miami.

Why is Taylor that much different? They all left, only Bowens and Bouniconti retired a Dolphin.

Well, there is a point there as well, I blew most of the Jersey Budget on a Jared Odrick PSU autographed jersey, so funds were tight, to me Odrick has a brilliant future in Miami.

I know you just bought it, but I would hold off wearing it until next year.
Once he retires, he will be a Dolphin forever. Until then he is a Jest.

By the way, if you want a David Boston, a Junior Seau, a Daunte Culpepper, a Sam Madison, an Eric Green (TE), or a Jack del Dio, let me know—they're for sale.

The ones not for sale are Csonka, Bob Griese, Jim Langer, Larry Little, Nick Buoniconti, Dan Marino, Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, AJ Duhe, John Offerdahl, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, and—of course—NABOCANE, :chuckle:

You'd think but I still have a couple of more things to buy before the preseason.

Losing the NFLN means no replays of preseason games, meaning I have to catch them online and the way I want to do that will cost about the money I've saved.

Well the only thing I'd need now is a throwback type of defender like Duhe or Bouniconti or Jake Scott maybe Manny "the bull" Fernandez.

Are Madison or Seau in Orange? That is how Taylor got me...gotta have an orange one..I seriously came close to bidding for Wake's Jersey from the first Jest game last season Wake wound up going for 3,200 or so, Taylor for 2k.

The Seau is orange; the Madison is aqua.

I wish there were more throwbacks available; I'd love to have a Kuechenberg, a Dwight Stephenson, a Jon Geisler; Jake Scott and the rest of the No-Name Defense would be cool too.

One day, and I hope it is soon, you'll be able to order any player's throwback as a custom item, in the uni design of that player's day.

It would be such a simple matter; all they have to do is have all the different-era templates available and put the names on them.

    Mmm...grits.

You never realize when you move to a completely different part of the country, what you'll miss that was readily available where you used to live; NOBODY serves grits here. Can hardly find any to make at home anywhere, either.

    Interesting on the Seau.

The Mitchell+Ness jerseys are so much better quality than what I've seen so far, I have a Griese M+N and three newer ones and there is no contest, the Ness is far sturdier with better materials.

Dolphins ones rarely come up for sale.

Wear any jersey you like as long as it is a Dolphins jersey past or present. It's your back it'll be on so only your opinion matters.

Now if you choose to buy a jests pats of bills rag then we'll have to hang you from a tree in it.:tied:

M&N jerseys are the best in class, bar none.

My Marino, Clayton, Duper and Griese are M&N. I have no doubt they'll outlast me.

M&N would be the ideal company to do what I proposed; they charge enough for their quality jerseys to make it viable.

Buddy, its ok to rock a JT Dolphins jersey. I still wear mine despite having over 20 different Dolphin jerseys to choose from. JT served this franchise well for 12 years and I have a lot of great memories of JT. It is not ok to rock a Taylor jersey in snot green. So you did the right thing.

This might be something you guys are interested in. They have Clayton, Duper and Marino Mitchell Ness CHEAP as well. They look pretty nice. Real cheap prices and I hear the quality is nice. I ordered a White Marshall, Aqua Dansby, and Aqua Odrick.
