that knife wound is going to get him caught. that was about the bloodiest 24 i can remember the episode just flew by. the series is almost over. there is no time to waste strange looks between CTU people. i credit the writers with giving the fans what they want what the heck was that gun that jack used to shatter the windshield?
That was a great episode. We finally have badass Jack back. The scene with him and Logan was awesome. Credit both actors for great performances. 24 is certainly ending on a high note, the previews for next week look insane.
I really liked how they just showed the carnage he left from the Russians and not the actual killing as it happened
Completely agree. I think it made that scene so much more effective just seeing everyone laying on the ground.
I agree, but wondered why the driver just didn't shoot his foot when he was covering the window hole with it. That was awesome! Why didn't the reporter just go and hide. She was an idiot. Next week looks great too. Looks like the IRK leading lady and the President will have a showdown.
logan told the truth and he really wasnt lying lol. logan saved the season and possibly the series with his performances imo they do look crazy. i agree that i dont see any way jack walks away from this free and clear. the announcement of the movie tells us he wont die which in a way is sort of spoiler. i would love to go into next week thinking he might die he has to end up in a prison or at least detained. what is interesting here is how narrow the plot has become. there is no vice president that can step in. every character seems like they are backed in a corner with only a couple of choices
Just re-watched the "Iron Jack Attacks" scene on Hulu. I love how they played it out almost like a horror film (especially when masked Jack looks into the window and the creepy music score starts). Loved Logan's reactions all throughout. Went from weasel to wussy in a split second. If only the first half of the season was this good, then I would rank it as one of the best.
It actually would be a great twist if Jack does indeed die at the end and it comes out the movie idea was just thrown out there so people would think automatically he would survive the day. But you're right he's going to end up in jail, there's really no other way out of it since the series isn't going to end on a happy note (which the writers have stated already a few times). And I agree Logan's performance saved the season. The guy is just great as Logan, him yelling in the limo 'That's Jack Bauer' with the look on his face was freaking classic.
they can still do a prequel for the movie so there still a chance he dies, i hope thats what happened... the ending should be a good one!
didnt think of that. if there is some way they can work david palmer in, it would be amazing i think freddie prinze jr. is worthy of making it in the movie, imo
I can't believe it's over. I thought that was a pretty good final episode and a pretty good final season. Spoiler Looks like the prison idea for Jack was close but not quite it. I guess for the movie something is going to bring him out of exile wherever he ends up.
i really liked it. it reminded me of the tension created in the first couple of seasons. there were a couple of moments where i pounded my fist into my chair out of frustration lol logan's exit was a bit crazy
That was a very good ending to a great show. If only the movie would be as good. You just knew the president was going to do that at the end.
i agree, and if they don't use logan agian then they should have killed him. I liked the end though, it was a good one but now how i thought 24 would end
i guess thats sort of the nature of the series. its a snapshot in real time. there is no place for a grey's anatomy soft acoustic song along with gentle sobbing lol that 2 minute extended look at jack from the drone and chloe crying works right along with it imo
true, though they left the door open on the character in the future if they want to work him in is some way. it at least leaves the door open to having him fully recover and involve in a storyline. not that they should, but its at least possible
I was thinking about that before the finale. Maybe Dalia Hassan finds out about him and offers him asylum.
i was also thinking that the 24 movie might be a rated R one. could make it better and more marketable
A rated R movie is never more marketable, that's why a lot of franchises try to stay away from that rating. 24 will never be rated R because FOX would never allow it and honestly I'm not sure it needs to be R to make it good.
I think it depends on the ages of fans of the show. If 95% of fans are 17 and up then you never know. I don't thinks it needs to be rated R. But I'd like to see it be a dark movie and full of action... I hope there is only one movie.
I don't know what they'd need to add to the show to make it rated R. It works the way it is. They can show the same level of violence they've used in the show and keep it at PG-13. I mean there's no point in adding excessive cursing or whatever just because.
It just won't happen because it doesn't make any sense since R rated movies historically don't make as much as PG-13 and lower. If you give a movie an R rating you already take away ages 16 and below, which means you take families out of the equation already (just talking in general terms- which is why many times sequels of movie franchises lower their ratings i.e. Major League 1 to Major League 2 or Die Hard 1-3 to Die Hard 4). Giving it an R rating will only hurt the movie's chances of success and there's no way FOX will green light that. I don't understand the dark comment, isn't 24 dark enough? It really doesn't need to push the envelope to make it better, it's already good. You can make a good movie that's dark without an R rating (see The Dark Knight- which would have never made that much money if it was rated R). Completely agree with you Muscle. It's not like 24 was on HBO or Showtime and thus you need to continue to use the same language or nudity if that applies (for example if they made a Sopranos movie, there's no way it couldn't be less than an R rating). The only network TV show that maybe could work as a rated R movie might be The Shield since they already toe the line with the language used and almost nudity.
