I usually pound the refs in here by myself... but I am so happy that other posters are on the board with me on this one. I've never witnessed anything like this in all my years of watching SPORTS... not just basketball.
Well, Bro Sect has the black box voodoo magic for discerning when this sort of game will happen, which is a skill a bettor must have to be successful, but for me as a part time NBA fan...this is chuckle worthy. It's like the WWE, but without ropes around the court.
I can handle a bad call or two, the refs are human they'll make mistakes. But they aren't being consistent here, they're favoring Orlando.
Crawford has always been a hotheaded ref. He screwed the knicks many times back in the day. The day he retires I'm throwing a party.
When Howard went up for his jump shot, as howard was coming down his elbow landed right in the big baby's face. Also we have a rashard Lewis sighting. Amazing, I bet people forgot he killed Cleveland last year with that post game. When he does that he's a serious match up problem. Lastly, seeing the replay of the Perkins incident it was absolutely justified.
Will lose respect for Doc and all his "old school" morals if he doesn't throw the last man in his line up out there for a flagrant-2. Send a message. To hell with the rules after the way this game is being called. Two horrible techs took one of your guys out. An elbow to the face took another out. Get even. Take one of their guys out for this game and the next. God I wish Pat Riley was coaching this game for Boston right now.... Dwight would be concussed with the same elbow that took Big Baby out.
I wish people like Howard would bend his knees more to make more of an arc of his free flow shot. He simply stands up straight and flings it to the basket, making him miss too hard. I learned that from listening to Coach Bobby Knight. That is what I try to do whenever I play at the gym.
Craptacular game, I do believe my remote will avoid the rest of the WWE tourney until they decide who will be in the title match. A Technical foul while walking away from the Ref? I notice Sect didn't touch this one with even a wooden nickel....
It backfired. I thought after all the *****ing SVG did ..that the refs would call it down the middle... instead they ****ed the Celtics ..which is RARE. REALLY RARE. Most favored NBA teams: 1. Utah Jazz 2. Boston Celtics 3. Cleveland Cavaliers
I did. I broke even on the game because I took the Rondo Prop. but yeah...I lost on the game. record falls to 8-3 now...pending the two wins (Celts/Lakers) to go 10-3.
***** about the refs all you want. It all evens out. There was some very questionable calls made in games 1&2 yet nobody here said a word. Perkins being thrown out doesn't even make a difference IMO. The tech will be rescinded and he'll play game 6. Now if he gets T'd up in game 6 that makes it very interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Firesole, you do realize no body here is a Celtics or a Magic fan for the most part right? WE are viewing the game as unbiased observers. if stuff happens thats iffy, people here will say it, i mean this is a Florida football team website, if anything we'd be biased towards the magic.
I'm a Magic fan, and I can't stand anything about Boston. The people are obnoxious, the Celtics I can't stand (especially Paul Pierce) and worst of all Patriots. I've never met someone from Boston that I could stand longer than a halfass conversation.
Yea, refs messed up big time tonight, but guess what? They are ALWAYS on the Celtics side. Always. Hell, against the Heat, HD himself said he can't believe how many calls the Celtics get. It's about time Orlando gets some calls there way. I don't care how we did it. With or without the refs, we're playing a game 6.
I thought it was a bit much when Dwight Howard shanked Fat Baby Davis and Joey Crawford hid the weapon.
I don't know bro. No one saw it love, including the refs, announcers, and Doc Rivers. It happened in traffic after Dwight was coming back down, and it was clearly unintentional. If a ref had seen it, it could be called, but like I said, it was after the shot and on the way down when no one saw it live? I didn't even see it until the 2nd replay.
No way. I just watched the replay that was pretty close up, the one where the camera follows Dwight up the entire floor... put it in slow mo with DVR, and its not even close man. It was bang-bang live... but the ball was still a good 3-4 inches from the backboard when Dwight swatted it... You will see that play plenty tomorrow, and will get a chance to look at it again. It wasnt a goal tend at all...
I would have preferred if the Magic had decided to roll over and play dead last night, instead they ended up hitting everything from outside. Regardless, this series ends in the Jungle on Friday night.
It was as clear as day that Dwight Howard stabbed Fat Baby Davis and then handed the shank over to Crawford. When they tried to chop him up and bury him in the parking lot..I thought that a foul call was maybe in order. Howard was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of line in that game.
I don't hate orlando, although after last night I hope they lose big. That game was complete bs. And celebrating it like its a great victory just makes me want the magic to lose even more.
Not if Perkins suspension holds up bro......that would be wishful thinking I believe.....although they are saying that one of them will get rescinded by the league....
There's a zero percent chance that Perkins is suspended for Game 6. Eddie Rush knew the split second after he made the call that he screwed up. It was a terrible call, but Perkins is a hothead that has a well-deserved reputation for whining among NBA officials. I'm more concerned about the status of Big Baby Davis. He's been excellent coming off the bench this postseason, and he always seems to play well against Orlando for whatever reason. Credit to Orlando, though. They shot great from the outside last night. The Celtics need to re-focus defensively and do a better job of running them off the 3-point line.
