You sound like a 19 year old fanatic who doesnt know what a naked woman looks like whose sole enjoyment in life is watching Kobe Bryant. Kobe is supposed to "bail them out" he is the frnachise player? Bottom line is the media pumped Kobes sack about being the best closer in the NBA, but yet in these playoffs he is 0 for 2 in last second shots but yet another player has picked up the slack and they won anyway. Its a fact not an assumption. Kobe was the best finisher in the regular season but you cant say he has carried that into the playoffs. Now before you blow your lid nobody can deny how good Kobe has played in these playoffs....I was just pointing out it was ironinc that a man with that label was 0 for 2 so far.
What are the odds on their being a fight? I'll take that bet. And Gasol crying like a pu--y 40 out of 48 minutes has to be 2-1, I'll take that too. Celtics in 6.
We've waited all postseason long, but finally some real basketball. PP & Artest already going at it 27 seconds in; double tech.
Celtics have been out of sync all night, Garnett fumbling a dunk is just one more case of a team that really doesn't look prepared to play.
Ditto. I really hate seeing him win as much as I love Kobe, Artest, & LO. If not for Gasol, I'd be rooting for LAL.
Another game of watching Gasol not get touched at all, throw his arms/hands in the air like the f..... he is, scream to the refs, and get bailed out every single time. Nothing ever really changes in the NBA. Look at this *****:
Man that was just an ugly game by the C's no one stepped up. I really hate the Special treatment that Kobe gets. He got a phantom call on Ray Allen which gave him his 5th FOUL and the no call where he slapped Tony Allen's wrist when he went up for a dunk. There was no way the Celtics win this game if they even got the calls. They looked like a pile of **** out there.
^ that was the absolute worst call i have seen in a while. to make things worse, during the replay you have jeff van gundy agreeing that it was a foul the fouls made the game unwatchable. artest is a total goon. i cant stand the guy. ill give him credit though, tangling up pierce seemed to rattle the team. i wouldnt expect that
The free throws were pretty even but yeesh 60 something freethrows? I mean I know the refs want to set a tone sometimes but come on now, it makes watching games unbearable at times.
The C's got POUNDED on the glass last night -- LA was +11 in that category. Boston's inability to rebound limited their opportunities in transition, which really hurt, considering that's where Rondo excels. KG was terrible. He looked old and couldn't stay with Gasol. That's going to be an issue moving forward. If they did a better job of cleaning the glass and limiting LAs second chance opportunities, they would have been right there. Its clear though that the Lakers' length bothered them last night.
OT: This is why I love Udonis Haslem so much. He DOESN'T flop, but isn't afraid to step in front of a freight train coming full speed on just to draw a charge. UD's charges are real.
The refs tried to take control of the game from the start and ended ****ing the game up. and yeah...Artest is a "goon"...LOL KG looked old and decrepit. Ray Allen must have slept with Jo Crawford's wife. Does anybody int he league foul more than Fisher? Funny thing is that if they called the game by the book, he would foul out in the first 5 minutes. I think the C's were toooo prepared for the game. They showed up in LA on Monday for a Thursday game. Why break routine?
It was a very different Celtic team from the previous games. I think Age is finally catching up with them.
I dont know about all that. The Magic, esp. Howard played pretty well in a couple of those games. You cant write off the Celts, from one game. Allen was in foul trouble, which helped the Lakers defensively alot. Its one game, lets not get carried away.
No doubt that was a flop but from another angle they showed last night, you can see that Garnett elbowed Gasol in the jaw.
Have you ever watched D-Wade or Lebron play? Whooweeee talk about star treatment. And if you think Kobe's " special treatment" from the refs is that bad, then you haven't watched Jordan play. Now THAT was bad.
Dude, let me start off by saying NO OFFENSE. But if you're gonna bash someone for their flops, then you gotta throw D-Wade in the mix. COUNTLESS times I see him drive hard to the basket only to fall and get the call. I'll never forget, it was in the playoffs this year and Wade threw a bad pass which was intercepted by Tony Allen. Then Wade started to ***** to the refs that he got hit and let the already bad Heat team at a disadvantage playing 4 on 5. When they showed the replay, Wade was NOT TOUCHED AT ALL. Now you want a real non-flopper? ZO! I dont even think he knows how to take a charge.
I fail to see where D-Wade was mentioned in my post. And yeah, I'd agree he gets calls like crazy; IMO he could have split the MVP in 06 with the refs.
I'm not worried yet. If Boston comes out and loses again by double digits, then I'll worry. Gonna take Boston +6 for game two and the under. Under is 5-0 in Celtics last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Under is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles between these 2. I love trends.
You should have just posted that and been done with it. Wade's style DESERVES calls. he attacks from the opening tip.
Wow. Judging by the tone of this thread, the Celtics just GAVE the Lakers the game. Honestly hardly any props for what the Lakers were able to do, which is dictate the pace of the game. As I said previously, if they score 100 in these games, they win. Stellar job by the mini bench mob. Vujacic came in early due to Fisher's foul trouble and didn't make me want to break my tv. Shannon Brown gave his qualities minutes like he always does and harrassed on defense, and anytime you have Farmar, Brown and Walton on the court at the same time, and come out +4, you HAVE to feel good about it. The fouls were annoying, but this is going to be a physical series and the refs know it. Bynum played a lot longer than I thought he would and played well. If he keeps that up, it will be over before they get back to Staples. And here is quite possibly the funniest .gif I have ever seen.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...Rock-can-t-distract-Kobe-Bryan?urn=nba,245619 This is cool, I bet Kobe wants to punch him hahaha
I will give credit where credit is due. The Lakers played a great game. Any game where Kobe doesn't have to carry the whole load and Gasol and co. contribute is going to make them hard to beat. All I am saying is the Celts we saw in game one was NOT the Celts of the last two series. And I expect it to get much more competitive.
Anyone have a problem with what Gasol said? I thought it was spot on and the C's are lying to themselves if they don't think Garnett lost his explosion.
Its true but I hate anything that comes from that douchbags mouth, but the moron is right in this case.... "That Was Foul"
i really get tired of the "c´s can play better" stuff, maybe the lakers played a big part on that performance, lakers just have to much size for boston, bynum even on one leg can play a factor since bostons style of play doesnt need him to run up and down the court, he can stay put play D and rebound and give a nice offensive lift, lakers havent lost at home since playoffs started and i don´t think they will lose game 2 either, boston is just not good enough on offense to get it done, they struggle to score points some time during the game and this will cost them, like turnovers as well
The refs dictated the pace. Not the Lakers. The refs screwed up the game from the start. The Lakers were better on the boards, and defended the perimeter very well. They won. But the whistles on both sides turned what started as a good physical basketball game into a boring plotting half court marathon.
