My quote was an example of a conservation I literally had this past Friday, you quote was a hypothetical scenerio....... They look at Cam as a role model the FO does...the guy who WITHOUT superior talent and was on the 1-15, worked his bum off, and believed in their system and is playing at a good level for himself.....not to mention coming back from that injury...but the main thing with this FO is they want you(players) to believe in the system, and the culture they are trying to build there...a guy like Cam fits perfectly into their system, loyal hardworker, who knows he role, and contributes as much as he can.....and again dupree I am not asking the world of CAm, if he does 50-60 balls and 500-600 and like 4-6 TD.....dude what do u think the others are doing??? no actually I'm just guessing meh......yes of course I did, and I saw a decent guy, one of the "young" DL that has improved the most imo of the bunch....I have the most confidence in him.....but development, and preformance on the field are 2 different things....like I said I have the highest hopes for him, and think he is the perfect person to hopefully develop into the run stuffing NT, which by the way is incrediably difficult.... my point was not to bash him, but him at 29, and Dnasby at 8 was what I was bashing.....

They have Bess who is a better number 3. I do not see Cam having close to 60 balls his way. He will be closer to 30 balls and is he worth having around for 30 balls. Plus paying 2 million dollars for a player with the ceiling being 60 balls 600 yards is very expensive. I have had that conversation. It wasn't a what if. Also everything you are asking of Cam you have with Bess, plus Bess is a better player.

Money is always an issue. The last person I would want lateraled to is Bess. Love the guy, however he is kind of slow
I am on the business side of the house as well...he is making 1.3 base...then 38K in bonus(drop in the bucket), and can reach 700K in incentives, so for under 1.5 he is worth it.....and if he makes all 700K in incentives that means he earned it...which again would be worth it.. Agreed Bess is not the fastest guy in the world, although rather shifty....
like watching Pryor back in the day....I guess with all the injuries and bow outs and no shows he would have come close...I think if he played more too, he would have had a legit shot

You know I will say this thinking about it, they lose Porter and Taylor, whatever IDC, but they do have to replace their values....sacks, pressure etc....then you have Starks moving to the inside at tackle, he is there to fill the hole, he isnt getting sacks, tackles like he did last year, not his job....There is alot of production they have to find, Wake has to have a great year, and Odrick is going to have pressure to perform right away...other than that, who else is geting pressure from the DE spot? Langford, Merling?

That is why I said, "Should have". I believe he would make it in for defensive tackle. I do not know how the 3-4 defensive ends translate into the probowl.

finyank we're gunna have to agree to disagree because i saw production on the field last year from starks. I will give you that he had an average end of the season but the rest of the year exceeded expectations in my mind. He was an important part of our defense and i can see why many people would vote for him in this competition.
