    Star Wars = Awesome

Star wars on some kind of odd , fixed path complete with awkward animations is not, maybe it'll get better by the time its out, who knows

And if the voice recognition works, as a way to navigate kinect does seem good, but will it be worth the cost? I doubt it.

It's Metal Gear. Really, the only games in the series that weren't any good were the ones Kojima had nothing to do with, like Ac!d.

ya, the character was always in the center of the screen, and only moved in a straight line once all the enemies were dead.

Two things about that. One: they never mentioned anything about NFL coverage...so that's a question I have. Second: I can do all this stuff already with ESPN 3.com.

I usually love what MS does and last year their showing of Alan Wake and Natal actually got me to bite and buy a 360 (which I'm glad I did). However this year was not exciting to me and "Kinect" I dunno just failed to get me amped. An overall decent showing by MS but no huge FFXIII shockers or the like to get me excited. Now I guess I'm looking forward to see if Sony can wow me.

I can't wait for the day where we are able to watch NFL games, whether on a computer or on a counsel, but i don't think that day is anytime soon :(

I'm pretty sure this DOES NOT include NFL games (maybe the Thursday games?)... I don't think there's a cost effective way for Microsoft to offer an NFL package without extra cost to the viewer. The NFL is crazy expensive. On that note, I'd gladly pay a fee to watch NFL games streamed in HD the way PS3 does MLB games.

I know it's still early, but so far my prediction of not caring much about this E3 is on track. Just... nothing that's been demonstrated really leaps out at me as a must-buy. I think the game industry is way too oriented toward blockbusters and movie-style presentation.

I think tonight I'll fire up Lufia 2 or Actraiser or Breath of Fire III and pine for better days.

I would venture a guess that many of the games that you (and I) really like aren't exactly ones that will appeal to the masses that these shows are really trying to show off to.

I don't think you should blame the game industry for focusing on what they think will sell the best for them.

Overall I would say Microsoft's presser was a huge letdown.

They only showed a bunch of Kinnect games, some shooters and MGS: Rising which still looks like a work in progress.

Lets see if Nintendo or Sony can salvage this E3.

I am intrested in Dead Space 2 and AC:Brotherhood though.

I don't blame them at all, but at the same time I'd like to be thrown a bone once in a while. The last game I really had a driving urge to buy and play was Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. Beat it in 3 days, and that's mainly because I slacked off at it. 3 days of one type of game that gets released maybe twice a year if I'm lucky. I have every reason to be jaded.

Anyway, I notice that there's indeed a new Castlevania game... for XBLA. I don't own an Xbox 360. If this is actually a new game and not a remake of a GBA or GB game, then it needs to come out on the PSN. Throw me a bone, Konami. It's not like you're ever going to make Suikoden VI. Actually, I just noticed it's multiplayer... nevermind. Online play is a wasteland worse than Fallout's.

I'm aware of Kojima's Castlevania game, and while it looks interesting, it's not what I'm looking for. What I'm after is an HD (preferably 1080p) 2D Castlevania that depicts the Battle of 1999 with an explorable area size approximately 4-6 times larger than the SotN castle. Order of Ecclesia sort of did this by giving you a world map and thus multiple medium-sized areas, but that's not quite the same as what I'm thinking.

When the PS3 and 360 were announced and their specs unveiled, my first thought was, "Wow, we can finally get vector-drawn HD 2D games." Vectors would solve the biggest problem with sprite-based games, namely drawing everything by hand. Since a vector is just an infinitely-scalable calculation, you can use 3D design principles to make a gorgeous 2D game. I was excited.

Oh, how wrong my hopes were.

If i didn't fail at asset creation and programming, sure.

Those are both 3D--polygon-based graphics, that is--with the camera locked in a side view. Those are just 3D side-scrollers, not really 2D in the classic sense of the term. I'm thinking more along the lines of King of Fighters XIII, but better.

Looks like Activision is going to announce a Goldeneye remake with Daniel Craig's likeness as Bond. Activision has been filing copyright claims on all Youtube uploads of the trailer, but you can check it out here.

It looks pretty much like the N64 game, just with better textures. In other words, what the N64 game would have looked like if not for that damnable blur.

Why Craig? It doesnt make sense to me when the movie and the game had Brosnan in it.

Well as long as they keep the core game in tact I'll enjoy it.

Because Brosnan is no longer Bond, and therefore the right to use his likeness is no longer part of the Bond license. There's no reason to pay Brosnan another few hundred thousand dollars plus royalties to use his face in a first-person shooter.

Nintendo is up in 15 minutes and my interest as of now is pretty much equal to that of my interest in Kinect software. Pokemon B&W will be nice to see/hear about. But I'm really not interested in anything else from the big N that I am aware of. I'm sure they will just show a picture of Link and the show will be considered a thrilling success.

So I don't think Nintendo will be losing their juggernaut like hold over the handheld market anytime soon.

The tech looks cool, but so far I'm not too interested in anything they've shown (by that I mean day one purchase, open up immediately and play until I beat it). DKC and Kirby look cool. But I won't be getting them any time soon.

A ton of titles you're familiar with (new Donkey Kong side scroller, new Kirby side scroller, new Zelda, new Metroid, Dragon Quest 9, new Golden Sun for DS, remake Goldeneye, Epic Mickey, Mario Sports title, Wii party game thing, Just Dance 2) and then the 3DS + Kid Icarus game for it.

They didn't really "show" Dragon Quest IX so much as spend 30 seconds saying "it's a really long game." It comes out July 11, Nintendo is publishing it, and they didn't even see fit to show a trailer so that people might be swayed into buying it? Come on, Nintendo.

Anyway, Ninja Gaiden on the 3DS intrigues me. If they announced Suikoden VI for the 3DS, I'd buy one ASAP.

Also, Kirby's Whatever Yawn is just Nintendo's response to Little Big Planet. Nothing to see there.
