Now I'll grant this looks odd with my politiking for TO to come to Miami to replace Greg Camarillo, however there are two completely different skill sets involved, Greg C "is" the quintessential possession Wr, his talent is getting open in short areas and hanging onto the ball.

A valuable skill, however we also have DBess who does the same thing, TO's skill set is more playmaking oriented, both are talented and I still maintain Greg C could catch 100 balls in the right offense, however that is not what we need in 2010 imho.

Bess has good hands but Camarillo has the best hands and in critical situations thats who I want to see catching the ball when the game is on the line.

And there is the problem CT, two guys who do the same thing and neither of whom creates long plays.

Do you think one will be the odd man out ? Hartline has more range ,Bess is more prolific so you could make an argument that Camarillo is a utility and a luxury player.

I would argue that you need these type of clutch players especially in big games and the playoffs.

I have been sticking up for Cam for awhile now, and it's good to see him get some outside love. I like seeing Cam lined up out there because you know he's not gonna bumble a first down catch. First downs lead to touchdowns.

As far as T.O. vs Camarillo....

Adding T.O. to the roster is risky enough.... adding him and discarding Greg "I'm money" Camarillo, is IMO basically asking to be bit in the ***.

Cammy might not make big plays but his play is improving where as T.O. is on the decline....

Imho Marshall/Hartline/Bess/Camarillo "is" the Wr corps, Turner is in trouble (imho) and one of the UDFA's could push past him and be the Returner.

Subtract Greg C (though I really do like his game) and things become clearer, Turner is the #4 (or TO :shifty: ) and there is a clear path for a Returner to make the roster.

Henne should have Marshall, Bess, Camarillo and Hartline go deep on ever play....someone will be open.

Camarillo is the best guy for making a play, but Bess is the best in the slot.

Pardon my French, but at this point I couldn't give three ****s about Pat Turner. Bust or not, I just don't care (I'll take Hartline and move on at this point).

Oh yeah, and TO can go suck a goat.

TO sucks. His loud as mouth out-weighs anything he brings on the football field. The FO got rid of one big mouth (J. Porter). Why would they bring in another?

Cam is simply bigger as we've seen elsewhere this regimen favors size.

Sucks for Bess but he'll land on his feet elsewhere.

FWIW: I could see the Trifecta shopping both and trading whichever has the higher value.

Just say NO to TO ! I'm pretty satisfied with and looking forward to watching our WR corps of Marshall, Hartline, Cammy & Bess. I really love how Hartline & Cammy should benefit from Marshall and Bess who could well become the next Moss/Welker type combo.

The Hartline/Cammy competition is a GREAT "problem" to have!

Padre, watch the last 7 minutes of the jet game last year on monday nite again...

Greg C makes this team, and Iam happy to have him and I'll tell ya why., I need that specific talent of catching the football with Henne's unique trajectory and velocity.

I'll say this about Camarillo over Bess, Camarillo didn't fumble the ball 6 times last year. Cammy got the ball in his hands in clutch situations, Bess put it on the dirt. That's not to take away from Bess. He's great in the slot and he works the underneath like no one's business. But don't be too quick to write off Greg C for someone who to this point has 3 touchdowns and 7 fumbles in his career.

Camarillo is simply a guy you root for. A lunch pail player who doesn't look like much, and doesn't measure out to much. But when gameday comes, you know that he will give his best effort and out hustle and out play, virtually everyone else on the field.

T.O. might be the exact opposite person, in terms of athletic ability, mental make up and overall personality. Hoesntly on a scale of 1-10, his face punchability factor is a 15. He complains everywhere he goes, he drops balls (in fact, he alligator arms in when he feels the heat coming).

Yes, he has the ideal physique, speed and ability you want in a wideout, even in his advanced age, bit honestly, those intangibles that Greg C. has grades him out ahead of T.O. for me.

Besides, Greg Camarillo is one of ours. He isn't a soldier of fortune, so to speak. He is the reason why our team a few years ago DIDN'T make history and is by far, the most stable, influential and "veterany," veteran on the receiving corps and probably second only to Ricky/Ronnie in terms of the offense as a whole.

Greg Camarillo is a glue player. Not the sticky Elmer's kids type glue either. But the horse hooved, krazyglue style player that you go to when you aboslutely need to have something stick, as evidenced by his hands and footballs.

I can't say that I agree. I really see nothing prolific about Bess. I think he's a sure-handed Slot guy and nothing more. Cam is even more sure-handed with a little better speed and versatile.

Not to mention Bess may be the worst punt-returner I've ever seen! LOL!

IF I had to pick one it would be Cam every time!

been saying it for a while, beautiful route runner and deeker, very flexible, smart, excellent hands, similarities to a Fred Bilettnikoff....

Amazing how every one of our wide receivers went thru a transition period with the Henne Laser, 1 of them being cut.....Not Greg C..he was perfect.

He has great hands, however he isn't a beautiful route runner. Of all the receivers last year he had the lowest percentage of catches over the middle. He also had the most snaps and was only thrown to 74 times.

He is good at what he does, however he is more Ricky Proehl than Fred Bilettnikoff.

I can't argue with the punt returner deal..DBess is just not very good at it.

Head to head, I'd keep DBess though, I like both of them but if push came to shove, I feel DBess has more upside than Greg C.

Greg Camarillo is a fine player so it is not like the Dolphins lose anything if he keeps his role, I'd like to see a Wr who could pressure the defense a bit more, but wouldn't everyone?

If you ask me, I give up Bess before Cam.Not only did Bess put the ball on the ground 6 times, at least one of which contributed greatly to a loss, he also dropped some balls last year. 7 to be exact.

This is coming from a huge Bess fan.

Camarillo has made a lot of clutch catches over the past few years. He might not make huge plays consistently and score a whole lot of TD's but he has a knack for getting open and is one of the most underrated players in the league.
