What else does the Wii got? Spoiler Yea Medi I know: Okami, Rune Factory, Little King's Story, Castle of Shikigami 3, Muramasa, etc. I'm just kidding anyway .
Just got done watching Nintendo's conference. Biggest news is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, and the new 3DS (and a new Kid Icarus for a launch title). I cannot WAIT to get my hands on these! There was some technical difficulties when Miyamoto showed Zelda, but no biggie. Obviously, they couldn't show what the 3DS looks like to us, but there were like 100 girls with 3DS's chained to them that came out at the end, and those in attendance got to have a hands-on experience with the device. The 3DS is the biggest revolution in handheld gaming since EVER. I can't tell you how pumped I am for this thing. It is for real, and it is going to be AWESOME. Nintendo completely DESTROYED Microsoft with this conference. And no way is Sony going to top this. No way in hell. Personally, the only thing left at E3 that I care about is Valve's conference.
Valve isn't having a conference. They're showing Portal 2 behind closed doors by appointment only. Edit: if this is real, then it looks like there's going to be some sort of announcement, at least. And as far as Skyward Sword goes... the graphical style is disappointing. I was expecting a better version of Twilight Princess. Instead it looks like they took Twilight Princess' graphics and applied a Wind Waker/Minish Cap filter on top.
What? I thought I heard they're holding a conference to reveal a "surprise" about Portal 2. Now they're doing it by appointment only? That's gay.
You're confusing the announcement of the cancelation of the Portal 2 surprise with the announcement of a Portal 2 surprise. As for the appointment only stuff, that's what Valve does every year, assuming they have something to show in the first place. They don't do presentations. At all. The HL2/Source Engine announcement was done in a small room with a few dozen people in attendance.
I'M confusing? No sir, YOU are confusing! They were going to have a conference this year, but they cancelled it: I still can't wait to hear what the surprise is...
Yeah, whatever public demonstration they were going to have of Portal 2 was moved to an appointment-only private showing.
Not only is Portal 2 on the PS3, but it's Steam Cloud compatible, and it'll get automatic updates at the same time as the Steam version. So, basically: Pro Tier: PC, Mac, PS3 Scrub Tier: 360 Assassin's Creed multiplayer beta will be PS3-exclusive.
If it works as good on Tiger Woods '11 as I hope, I'll totally get it. I already have the camera, so that saves me some.
The Ball thing is 49.99, the movement thing is 29.99. Then there is a bundle with the ball thing, camera, and a game for 99.99. I do not remember if the bundle had the movement thing
I'd use it on Killzone 3, Dead Space 2, and other stuff I'm sure. But thank you for the clarification.
How much is move? EDIT: Saw it, you ****ers are fast. Is Portal2 supposed to be muliplayer or something? Why would Automatic updates be an issue?
Portal 2 has an online co-op mode. You and a friend play as robots: one has the blue portal and the other has the orange portal. You go through co-op-specific puzzles together. As for automatic updates, it's all about patching and adding new features without having to wait for someone else--like Microsoft or EA--to process and push them out. The PS3 version will get updates at the same time as the Steam version, because it's connected to Valve's servers.
I'm going to guess you're expressing a negative sentiment. The idea of one person on a Mac and the other on a PS3 playing co-op mode together is pretty appealing to me.
wait wait wait... CROSS PLATFORM??? Maybe I missed what you wrote. I'm thinking "Woopty do, they get a patch a day or so early, big deal". The PS3 and Mac and PC players will all be able to play together? THAT kicks ***. Edit: The other problem is that the only Valve multiplayer game console users seem to give a crap about is Left 4 Dead. I HATE LEFT 4 DEAD.
I'd be more interested in playing COMPETATIVELY (Team Fortress 2, etc.) against the poor bastards on PS3. Talk about easy kills, I would SMOKE those analog stick using fools!

Yeah, PS3 owners of Portal 2 can play co-op with Steam users on Windows and Mac. That's the big deal: the PS3 is basically now an extension of Steam, and not isolated from Valve's development like the console versions of, say, Team Fortress 2. So PS3 owners of Portal 2 get the same benefits computer-based Steam owners get: automatic updates and cross-platform play. When a Portal 2 update goes out on Steam, it'll also go out for the PS3, because the PS3 version is connected to the same servers as the Windows and Mac versions. And as for the patching, remember, the console versions of Valve's games aren't actually developed or patched by Valve. IIRC, EA handled the console versions. The 360 version was handled by an internal EA development team, and the PS3 version was outsourced to some hackjob shop in China. That's why the 360 version of The Orange Box received at least some updates, and the PS3 version was basically abandoned at birth. So Valve has eliminated the middleman and will support the PS3 version directly. The huge disparity in content between the Steam versions and the console versions is basically going away... unless you own a Microsoft console, in which case, you're screwed. This changes that. Portal 2 isn't a competitive game. And yeah, the slowness of the analog stick is why we'll never see console versions of competitive FPS games being able to play with PC versions of the same. They tried that with the Dreamcast version of Quake 3 being able to play with Windows owners of Quake 3, and it didn't end well for the Dreamcast owners.
Any info about Black Ops besides that re-tread trailer with the eminem music? I read some info about it, but I don't know if it's real.
Looks like Sony is losing their advantage of free online gaming. They'll still have it, but without PSN plus you can't get DLC and **** like that. Lame.
Well it said exclusive DLC, so I'm not sure if it's all DLC is exclusive to PSN+ users or if it's just certain DLC is exclusive to PSN+ users. And most people just want to be able to play their MP games online, which the PS3 still does have. It is an advantage.
Okay, bad news on Portal 2. When Gaben said that the PS3 version would be Steamworks compatible, he meant community features, like cross-platform chat. You cannot play the PS3 version with the Win/Mac version. What Valve giveth, Valve taketh away. And what Valve taketh away, Gaben eat for second lunch.

I'm currently in LA and attending E3. If someone wants to know something specific, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
EA Sports dropped the ball again with Madden 11... that's nice to see/hear. Completely ignoring offline franchise for another new feature that will probably be removed by Madden 13 as usual. "It will take time to redesign franchise mode, so we'll be looking into that possibility with Madden 12" We've only been asking for it to be revamped for 4-5 years now.
