    Of course not.

They do control games 1 through 4 though.

1-3. 4-5 were called straight up. 6 was iffy.

Only David Stern could orchestrate the series carrying along the way it has.

There hasn't been a game decided by less than 5 points, its obvious that the officials have controlled much of the series.

It is over. No one is consistent on the C's and losing a big body of Perkins is huge. Damn surrounded by hordes of bandwagon Laker fans this is just great =/

I love when successful teams who have a large fanbase are called bandwagoners. Much like the Yankees or Cowboys, these teams have nationwide fans because they have been routinely good throughout their existence.

Of course, most Celtic fans I am surrounded by right now ARE bandwagoners. Jaded Warriors and Kings fans who hate everything SoCal and thus, route for a terrible team like the Celtics to spite their own state.

    Bandwagoners. :shifty:

LA is still full of bandwagon fans. Lets see all their fans when they don't have Kobe Bryant.

I'm rooting for the C's cause I can't stand the Lakers.

Keep dreaming. L.A. is LAKERS town. Much moreso than my beloved Dodgers, or the Clippers or even the Orange County Angels of Anaheim.

Laker fans are and have been EXTREMELY loyal. We were there when Nick Van Exel wa smanning the point or when Cedric Ceballos was our "superstar."

You can call L.A. a lot of things, but we ARE loyal to our teams, as loyal as any other fan base. Don't blame us because your team constantly sucks.

born and raised in LA and still living in the city of angels. Always been a Lakers fan since Showtime through Elden Campbell, Van Excel and Vlade Divac to Shaq Kobe and now Kobe and Gasol. Cant wait for the next great run after Kobe.

I loathe the Lakers...but I agree with everything said here. The Lakers have a great fan base as well as the Raiders and the Dodgers.

Couldn't save the Raiders or Rams though..

To me LA always seemed much more of a Basketball/Baseball town.

Game 7 for all the marbles baby, should be fun, but I'd never argue over NBA teams..why? The regular season means nothing and the playoffs run for almost two months, maybe more.

Bad management and terrible teams did in the Raiders and Rams. I said they were a good fan base not a tolerant one.

Sad to consider that both franchises, with the same ownership, have been to the Super Bowl more recently than the Dolphins, and it is not even close, I'm talking 15yrs difference..

While somewhat true, you can't discount the rabid USC fans down here. The Trojans are L.A.'s football team. The Rams and Raiders were never L.A. teams. They never won in L.A., not like the Dodgers/Lakers did. Not like the Trojans of football or the Bruins of basketball did.

Those teams were there for a long time (or were originals) and had success to make themselves apart of L.A.

To be honest, the saddest day ot be a Lakers fan will not be when Kobe leaves or when Magic retired...but will be when Jack Ncholson goes. He is our mascot, our fan leader and indicitive of Laker fans as a whole.

Of course, if w elose tomorrow night, THAT might be the saddest day for me...I think I would probably vomit...no joke.

Wouldn't that prove the point about bandwagon fans Sammie?

That and the Coliseum was too large a venue for NFL games at that time, as in 50 thousand people and the place looked empty.

Only Jack can afford the 20k per game courtside seats.

I'm sure the booze will have something to do with that as well..:D

Remember when you vomit expensive booze it tastes better twice!

TBH, I want to see an entertaining game, watching Celts claaang!! shots is not fun, watching Gasol flop is not fun, hearing too many whistles is not fun either.

    I'm hoping for a Perkins/Willis Reed moment!

Insert any Actor/Producer/Director/Mogul/Billionaire Name and he'll fork over his chump change for the games.

Unless the Lakers Organization keeps the seat empty for respect

I want to see Kobe being awarded the Finals MVP, all while the Celtics celebrate their 18th title. That would be truly epic television

I cried too actually. I remember calling my mom and having her calmme down about how he will live a long life...which I don't think she believed either.

    Magic proved her right though.

Just get Jack stuffed and keep him in the seat.

Yes and no. At some point, we all became fans of our respective teams for one reason or another. I grew up in the Bay Area, but am somehow a fan of the Dodgers, Lakers and LA Kings. Why? Probably becaue at some point as a child, I was exposed to the Dodgers winning the World Series (I was 5), the Lakers winning the Championship (multiple ages as a kid) and Gretzky getting the Kings to the Stanley Cup Finals.

So am I a bandwagoner because I saw, recognized and like those teams when they were good? Maybe, but I also have never abandoned them. The Dodgers haven't won a title since then, the Kings have barely made the playoffs and the Lakers had a down period called the 90's. Yet here I am.

So am I still a bandwagoner? Nope. These teams hae tradition in L.A. because they have either won, and thus, added to the culture of the city, or were at least original teams that fans can call their own (Kings).

Teams like the Clippers continue to lose, and snub their noses at the fans they do have. It makes it hard for people to root for them because of it. And now, its like a well oiled machine. new kids are born, and grow up in a culture that love the Lakers, and thus, they become fans too. Of course, having Kobe and being the champs helps with that as well.

But overall, I think Laker fans (and Dodger fans for that matter, they are constantly in the top 5 for attendance) are pretty loyal. They just happen to have a larger base overall, so it makes it easier for fans of other teams to call them bandwagoners.

Bad officiating you say? Have no fear. David stern is on the case. Joey Crawford has been placed as the referee for G 7. Brilliant, let's put the most controversial referee in the most important game. End sarcasm.
