For me it's Wanny. He messed up this franchise more then any of the others.

Saban is a liar and treated people like crap.

Cam was just over his head and I think we had the record we did because the players just quit.

i would have to pick other.the man i dispise most in dolphin history is chri carter.who singlehandedly lost us the playoff game against minnesota.when he dropped that ball in the endzone he became my most hated man period.chris carter doesn't drop balls.on top of that it was most likely the best pass jay fiedler ever made..hit him right in the numbers and he drops it? you gotta be f'inn kiddin me!! only because we were playing minnesota(imo and noone can change my mind) and if memory serves me right the winner of that game went to the superbowl.every time i see that man now i have to take 2 blood pressure pills. so thanx mr.best hands in the nfl for dropping a pass that even tedd ginn couldv'e caught.

I vote for the guy who currently isn't the Alabama head coach. How many times am I going to have to say it? He is not the Alabama head coach.

Cameron and Wanny gave it their all. I'll never fault them for that. Saban lied to our faces and bolted. Saban without a doubt.

I voted for Saban and it's not even close. To me intentions matter. The other coaches and players mentioned above may have hurt the team but they were trying. Saban was a liar and a quitter and he treated everybody like crap. That bothers me more than somebody who tries and fails.

RW is a guy who also acted selfishly and was a quitter and hurt the team, but he has since realized that he was selfish and he has redeemed himself in my eyes. I respect him for not continuing to pretend that that it was Wanny's or anybody else's fault that he quit (unlike many fans), and just admitting that he screwed up.

    What on earth?

    How is Wanny getting votes?

A lot of people are voting on this based on personality or character.
I personally don't care if I like the coach I care what he does with the Franchise.

    Do I like Saban?
No, but he did not leave this franchise in shambles, someone else did.

Wanny was a horrid GM and head coach.
His negative affect on this franchise is unequaled.
No one else in our franchises history had even a fraction of the destructive influence he did.

He rode the talent of a roster made from someone else to early success while slowly eroding the talent down to nothing, his coaching philosophy was conservative/predictable, he was unable/unwilling to make adjustments in game to counteract what other teams were doing to us, regardless of how much players said they liked him personally they still mocked his motivation techniques, he developed a love affair with a sub par QB no other teams had interest in, refused to upgrade the most important position on the field, made draft and personnel mgmt. blunders that ran the franchise literally into the ground.

How could that guy not be hated.
I don't care how nice a guy he is off the field.

As for Olivadotti, I'll agree with you. He is not getting the attention deserved in this debate.

Cam gets a pass in my opinion. The man was clueless, and you can't hate someone when they are just incompetant. He was trying its just that he was not head coaching material. Same with Wanny, the man didn't know which end was up, he was just a numbnuts. You can't hate that.

    That leaves Saban or other.

Saban did know what was up, he just didn't want to stay and fix what he knew was wrong. He didn't want to sully his hands with the dirty work that Parcells and Co. have been dealing with the last 3 years. On top of that, he lied his way out of town in what can only be called one of the scummiest ways ever. Just a lying jerk with a Napoléonic complex who made even his office staff hate his guts. Don't forget the Dolphins secretary that was fired after working for the team 20+ years, just because she dared to speak to Saban before being spoken to.

Other, could be the agent that signed away Czonka, Kiick and Warfield (was it them ??? My memory is sketchy). Anyway it was three big guns of ours and broke up the team that could have won more Super Bowls in the late 70's.

That man took what talent was left after a lame duck season from JJ and absolutely abused it. The record was more indicative of the talent and less of his ability as a coach. His inability to bring in talent year after year and then vanilla down every aspect of the team set us back nearly a decade. Remember how he ran Ricky right into the ground for two seasons and proclaimed there would be no difference in approach. Ricky, being unable to deal with that unexpectedly retired and started his ganja world tour.

If he had been half the coach that some are willing to give this team killer he might have been able to achieve some better results with those under achieving teams. Remember, this was the jerk that forced Marino into retirement because he didn't want him around. Want to talk about cold shoulders... Seems to me that some are willing to forgive this clown his poor judgment and treatment of this teams true iconic player and more than willing to plaster this current regime for it's treatment of some good but lesser players... :pity:

Just want to make sure I am understanding.

Some believe the team that lost 62-7 to the Jaguars in the playoffs was talented............so talented that Wannstedt killed it after he took over. I am not saying he didn't do damage I am just questioning weather the team you refer to was as talented as thought

I hated Tom Olivadatti so much I was ready for Shula to retire to be rid of him. That's a fact. Wannstink was nearly as inept as Cammy Cam Cam. How Huizenga let that idiot be in charge as long as he did is still shocking to me.

But easily for his lying sack of s**t nature, his Napoleon complex and horrible treatment of players and staff alike, Nick Satan, is by far the most hated person there has ever been around this organization, for me at least. I agree with a previous poster anytime I see Saban's face or hear anything about him my skin just crawls.

I can't hate Wannstink or Cameron just because they were lousy coaches. Saban on the other hand is a solid coach, but is an absolute train wreck of an individual.

    Saban has a commanding lead.

I remember seeing Jim Mandich saying that if he ever sees Saban in person, they would throw down.

that wasn't a playoff game?could've sworn it was..it's been a while don't remember alot but remember having a party and eating wings..i don't usually go all out unless its a playoff/superbowl..hmm maybe it was last game of season with playoffs on the line? mustv'e been one heck of a party lol.

regardless my answer stays the same. he still dropped the ball in the endzone that shouldve been caught.err maybe or did i dream that?don't see why i would dispise him so much for a drop if it had no implications.

I'm not even sure what year you're talking about. 2002, we played them on the second to last week of the season. Had we beaten the Patriots the next week, we would have been in the playoffs. Minnesota is an NFC team. We've never played them in the playoffs. We did knock them off in a Super Bowl before though. I wouldn't put Chris Carter as the most hated of all time. Not even close. He was only with the team for maybe 6 weeks that year.

How is it that Tom Olividatti is not even mentioned in this poll?

Man was a ****ing idiot of biblical proportions. Pasqueloni was basic? Really? Would that make Olividatti more on a kindergarten level?

yes it was the 02 season, carter came in mid october due to the rash of reciever injuries we had that year and you guys are correct it was that second to last game of the season but wasn't it very important to us?i vaguley remember 3 teams in our division ending 9-7 and that win(if i'm remembering correctly)wouldve given us the division to make the playoffs as enw england was only 9-7 after they beat us that last game.

you may not put him top of the list but i really have trouble claiming such hatred towards anyone else from the dolphin organization as much as i do carter and it may be unwaranted but my blood boils everytime i see him yapping. saban was a lying two faced snake but i do not hate him for what he did, wanstache, cam and oliva may have been blundering bafoons but i don't hate them with as much passion.

i stand corrected and thnx everyone for helping me get it straight.

    Slightly left of center
What can Trent Green do that Jay Fiedler can't? Driving Ricky into retirement to add a couple others. Passing on drafting Drew Brees.

I would also add for dishonorable mention

Wesley Wanker, still wondering what it would be like to play for a champion.

Whomever it was that wouldn't let Zach say goodbye :pity:

    Spray Mucus

    Daunte Crapstinker

Garo Yepremian, (just for one play :wink2:) it shoulda been a shutout.

Number 28, name escapes me, who barely slowed Riggins down and let Joe I'm not good enough to win the Heisman trophy so I'll change my name to sound like it redskin azz father mocker win a Super Bowl and have a broadcast career.

Everyone of them who missed a tackle or block or a catch in a game vs the jesters.

I gotta go with Jimmy Johnson. He always had that smug stupid look on his face. He ran this team into the rond before Wanny got here, and he didn't give Marino a chance to win a SB.

This one is a no brainer for me. Cam Cam-moron and Randy Mueller. Trading Welker to the Patriots was the reason why they almost went undefeated. Not to mention that the next year after being fired when Cam was with Baltimore, they beat Miami and then Cam got a gatorade bath on the field and then started crying in the locker room. Biggest piece of sh*t MORON ever.

While I agree with the sentiment that Johnson is to blame for Wannstedt. And Wannstedt is to blame for the collapse of the organization. Those two are linked forever in Dolphins lore.

If I have to choose a player.

Thurman Thomas. The guy killed us for a decade.
