where to start? horrible pass protection o line? the stupid Left handed budge our lineman gave taht u call a block? booker dropping 3-4-5 passes? lost count. Booker not able to stand still as usual? 8 linemen needed to block 5 defensive guys? and STILL get sacked? PS Running back as our main running back? Lehan who can't cover anyone but all he does is throw them down like a wrestler. so many problems i dono where to stop. u guys think our D is bad your blinde. our O is just as bad. i todl u guys just b/c we rush on a few horrible Def. teams over a 100 yards but can't pass due to only 3 step drops doesnt mean our o line is good. wowwwwwwwww NO PLAYMAKERS ON OUR TEAM WHAT SO EVER!

If we dont pick up Asante in FA...get some players REAL players for the O line and D line we are screwed.

I knew they were going to lose the game. The weather just helped make it a more interesting way of losing.

I don't think so, the D came to play tonight . . . don't take away their solid effort because of the weather.

Pitt had their number one back, hence the running ability. We are going down the food chain for our backs.

yes i understand taht but that is only 1 excuse. wehres the rest of our excuses? no CB's on this team besides allen whose a number 2. No pass protection and our o line is the same from the get go. no WR's. no TE. our D line is SO SO. can't blitz b/c our CB dont cover our guys.

We sacked Big Ben a bunch of times, you cannot play press coverage in tho:)e conditions, we have a rookie Wr and a so so veteran and Hagan is a scrub right now.

And patrick cobbs was taking hand offs, what in the heck would you expect to happen?

yeah, we need work. Our D has been banged up all year, but they seem to bend but not break. I'll take that considering. Running backs=injuries. Line... I think they have improved over last year, espically the run blocking. Still a work in progress though. TE... Martin caught some good balls tonight considering he has dropped a lot this year. Wideouts... Can't really judge them since we have gone with 3 qb's this year. So for me personally. I want a win just like the rest of us, but we all want to see improvements each week.

agree with the win part but the rest not much...

D been banged up but still not a reason or excuse. Look at the colts, lost many D players and still doing just fine just like many other teams. who did we lose that really hurts us now? Bell? Allen is doin just as good if not better then hill was. Crwoder is doing pretty good and its time to move on and keep him at MLB and get a OLB cuz i doubt ZT plays this year. Joey played great as well. RB we need some game changesr RB is good but not a game changer...McFad is and we need it on offense badly. O line is improved running but pass blockign SUCKSSS BALLS!!! no wehre near happy. TE? martin? did good? he dropped 2 balls tonight i believe. booker dropped about 4. tahts 6. QB has ntn to do with it when the abll is delivered on target and on the #'s/hands. tahts the WR fault not a diff QB in so many games fault. I dono bro its getting worse and worse cuz we keep losing games later and later in teh games rather then from teh get go so it teases u then u see Cams same face saying "Damn it, here we go again" when u can tell we r about to lose.

You really can't blame the pass protection in this game. Did you watch both sides of the game? You cannot possibly tell me that Pittsburgh has a ****ty offensive line, because they gave up the rush just as much as Miami's OL did, and their defense is a lot better at pressuring QBs.

If you want to start anywhere, then start with the worst coach in the NFL.

Actually...if Im not mistaken...most of the sacks were given up by non lineman...Chatman whiffed at a block which turned into a sack...and Justin Peele got turnstiled which in turn got Beck drilled.

Tonight was the O-lines worst game. On a bad field, in bad weather, I'll give them a mulligan.

We need help in the secondary so badly. Our "other" corner spots are killing us (Will Allen was great tonight and has been quite good all year). He's a great #2. Sign Asomugha if the Raiders let him test the waters. Failing that, go after Assante. I think Jason Allen is a player but beyond those two?

If our secondary gets fixed I think our front will look better and Capers can get more exotic. That said, we need an edge pass rusher, NOW. Taylor has had it as an every down player IMO. We also need push from the middle of the field. this is going to be a very important draft. We hit it big we could be back quick, we swing and miss we'll be pooched for another 10 years.

I agree....man JT looked real gimpy out there last night....though he did have some back problems I thought. Will Allen....youve cemented a spot on next years roster. I thought JPeesey played a hell of a game...he hasnt lost much...so maybe we can get another year out of him.

Man....we are close to putting together a team. Close I mean...two drafts...but I really think we will have a competitive team for another decade if we stay the course. Not completely sold on Cameron...but I like what Mueller did this year.

I've noticed that the two bad weather games that we have played, Pitt and NYG, we have gotten a great pass rush with the blitz because we didn't have to worry so much about the deep pass, we could send JT and send JP, CB blitzes the whole bit.

Could be our secondary is actually so bad that we cannot normally risk blitzing as much as we did last night. That and Truck actually clogged the middle effectively last night.

BTW, Jason Allen's inexperience really showed on the last pass by Big Ben, JA had a clean shot at him, and he sort of leaped on his back when Ben was waving the ball around while running, JA still missed the sack and Ben was able to tuck the ball in while #91 sacked him.

A ball chop ala LT or Derrick Thomas would have forced a fumble..live and learn...

wtf is this thread? if we are that bad, than the steelers are the 2nd worst team in the league... the conditions played a big part in the game... call it an excuse but its a fact, the steelers didn't look too good either, WRs slipping, wet balls, tough footing... not to mention the steelers are a powerhouse in the AFC with the best defense in the league... you expected to have an offensive explosion in those conditions in Pittsburgh? be serious people...

Last night after the game I went into chat, and CK, section, and a bunch of us went into a chat room created separately from the main chat. It was awesome. Honest to goodness analysis of the players, field conditions, play calling, you name it. If VIP means I never have to read a post containing a bunch of whining without facts, then you better believe I'm going there and never looking back. We were discussing the ugly truth, while you engaged in wild hyperbole and armchair coaching.

if you think our o line is good your either the norm (in denial like many finfans) or you dono how to analyze players, talents, and the game.

giving 3 step drops isnt a good o line buddy. just b/c we run the ball decently now doenst mean its a GOOD o line. if u hadn't noticed, our YPC has dropped with RB out. half the yards RB created himself.

i dont recall saying nethin bout an offensive explosion. but the diff is my friend that they didnt use 8 linemen to block lke we did and still get sacked, they were 18 for 21 passing with zero dropped passes while we had 6 dropped passes i believe 4 with booker 2 martin (i lost count) they ran a bit better then we did. the sacks we got were the typical BEN holding the ball too long reason not b/c we pressured so fast although i think 2 of the sacks were b/c of our rush not bens fault.

I bow to your obvious superiority. Your positive "realism" in the face of an 0-11 season is sooo much more "professional" than me saying that Huizenga will fire someone if the Fins go winless. I am sure that's just wild hyperbole, and maybe if I live long enough to be a Dolphin fan for ANOTHER 35 years, I will be as good a fan as you. :001_rolleyes:

Yup, they have been a more consistent unit, but camoflagued play calling has provided a positive impression. Reality shows when broken down as individuals, upgrades at tackle and guard would still be warranted.

this is where i know you are WRONG. I had a convo in that chat and thats where everyone especially CK i think dont quote me was all over Bookers nuts saying how good he was and he is worthy of being a good WR...and my arguement was he donest deserve 3 mill a year, he doesnt make another teams roster via #1 #2 or#3 WR nor taht much money. he drops half the passes his way a game, he falls down half the time and can't run for crap. how is he worthy all that money n spot? yesturday was pure evidence as he dropped 4 balls i believe n dont tell me it was cuz it was wet. Hines caught some AMAZZZZZING balls and half of the 9 were him diving around falling down catching it.

One dinged Running Back in Chatman and our old Running Back who got stamped in the shoulder by what IMO was a cheap shot. To be honest i thought it was a huge gamble putting RW in there when he isnt used to taking any hits after being out for so long. That didnt help but i did think the Steelers looked marginally better overall.

You can say exactly the same thing about Worrell and i think thats why you saw Ricky Williams playing over Cobb. Chatman has been limping all week with that ankle, we start him, he plays Ricky Williams who hasnt played for 40 odd games and hasnt taken any hits or learnt the assignments and then you can add Cobbs who hasnt done anything wrong but hes playing by default (see Worrell). Its a numbers game right now at RB and you can even argue our QB position is in the same state. Beck wasnt expected to play this season and im sure if you had said we would have seen Ricky this season then im sure all our eyebrows would be raised. Injuries will always bring out Depth issues. Especially if we lose the 1st two players in those depth charts beit Running Back, Safety or Quarterback thru injuries. 3rd stringers are usually ST's.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but Booker was certainly the most consistent pass catcher out there last night. Hagan was horrible, Ginn wasn't having his best night, and Booker made some plays. The stat line reflects it.
