Only because of the 7 goals today....Ivory could easily beat NK, who is to say they dont beat NK, by multiple goals like Port did today....then Brazil wins by a couple lets say....as of right now the goal diff is 9 between Port and IC....impossible no, but highly unlikely...they did well scoring 7 today, or it would have been close...
I'd like to see a slow motion replay of that Sanchez goal... I don't think the ball touched any of the players offside.
I think the other players didn't like what sounds like a potential one man revolution, that of John Terry.
Boy, the baby-antics of the ticky tack Yellow Cards shows the UN-MANLY nature of whats wrong with international "footballers" in this Chile vs. Swish match....floppers, actors, whiners....sad, cause thats not sport! thats an embarrassment to real sports (The Big 4).
Swiss just broke the record for longest streak without conceding a goal in World Cup history... 551 minutes and counting.
Referee Koman Coulibaly benched PRETORIA, South Africa – Controversial referee Koman Coulibaly was left off FIFA’s list for the next batch of World Cup matches following the error that cost the United States a victory against Slovenia http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/wo...er-dropped-call--fbintl_ro-fifaref062110.html
The Brazil/Portugal match could be very interesting. Think of it. Will they actually think about their round of 16 match? If we assume that Spain will win out. They win the group. Portugal would need a win to avoid Spain. Brazil would also. As good as Chile looks..they are limited physically by being such a smallish, non-physical or "finesse" team. You gotta be screaming to play Chile and not Spain. Don't sleep on that match. it could matter.
Zidane: F off. Seriously, why is this guy still seen everywhere, making commercials and still getting crap loads of media attention? He was good, now leave already. I bet he is getting in good with Platini's help to try and secure a career position in FIFA. Go retire in your home country . . . . . . of Algeria.
Naw man, after that head butt I actually liked him a little more, for shaming himself and showing his true colors.
Here's the thing though. Spain doesn't win the group if they win out. Here would be the scenario if they win and the Swiss win next week against Honduras: All 3 will have 6 points and all 3 will have beaten each other...leaving it to Goal Differential and after that Goals for, and being that the Portugal-Brazil game is before the Spain game, I'm afraid it will be uneventful.
Yep, the US clearly looked stronger than England when we played. Spain have arrived. Great goal by Villa.
Zidane's quote is a little off. The US has looked like the better TEAM..which is to say that have looked better organized and more imaginative/aggressive/dangerous... But England clearly outplayed the US for about 60 of the 90 minutes. The American midfield played very well vs. England..but if not for a good plan vs. Rooney our backs were awful. You also had Clark get dominated by Gerrard badly and that MADE the game.
Have any of you guys ever gone to a Spanish social club to watch Espana play international football? You can't help but get diarrhea after you go to one. How do they do it? How do you put away that much red Wine and all that heavy Spanish food?
For the love of nation and man!!!!!!!!!! The game started at 1000EST time the other day, we had bacon, eggs, cinny rolls, and like 5 Bloody Marys each by game time!!!! I felt AWFUL by the 12 minute...
I've been in Spain when the national team has played. And LOL at the home of the burger and fries calling the home of tapas 'heavy'.
hahahahah mate I was thinking the same thing, then looked at my bacon and eggs reference for justification
I am part Spanish. I grew up on that food. Oddly enough..it is very possible that One relative of mine bought and sold another at one time or another. (My parents are cuban) Spanish food is like lead. Delicious....but like Lead.
BTW...one of the great features of this great town (miami) if you look for them, you will find some of the finest Football (soccer) bars anywhere..but you better be a fan of Brazil or Spain..or you are **** out of luck. There are maybe 2 or 3 English or German bars to about 100 Brazilian/Spanish bars.
Ese tipo Turico is un gran maricon, cada vez que Villa le juega la pelota en el area, ese hijo de puta se da un bano. Me cago en su madre.
What do you think? Honduras is hopeless to get this goal..so I gotta root for Espana to get it for me.
Really? I've been looking for some Brazilian/Spanish bars and found just two. Which other ones do you know of? And I disagree on the heavy spanish food. Tapas are like light sandwiches...great bar food. Sangria though I can't handle. I'm not a big wine person.
