so you come on the site use language that isn't allowed by terms of service, accuse the fanbase of being knuckleheads and yet youre the one ranting like a loon. Used to think you were alright sid...

 

The gist is that he and florio(pft.com) were planning on ambushing BM with leading and negative personal/private questions while conducting his show on 560 wqam and gloating over the exercise to belittle BM.....all this on the air.
all his Village idiots heard it and the Dolphins got voice transcripts and "possibly" pulled the plug.

Don't know you Sid, never heard or read anything of yours, couldn't care less whether you got an interview or not, don't hate on you, don't frankly give a damn one way or another. I only know this: your post was nothing short of a pouting rant and it's sad you decided to take out your anger on a bunch of solid posters that would more often than not give you a fair shake.

Do you really expect that post will help you with the few posters here that may have been less than complimentary towards you?

You work in a business where you need a thick skin, and you certainly expect people you interview to have one. Yet you come in here and claim this is a lousy bunch of posters who all hate on you? Wow, that is really sad and immature, makes me glad I don't listen or read your stuff, and also makes me not give two shakes whether you remain a member of this site or not.

We are a "family" of like minded fans, we don't always agree on a lot of things but we all love our Miami Dolphins. If you want to endear yourself to this fan base, you just took two steps back with this childish thread. I feel sorry for you, maybe you might want to hang out here more and get a feel for the quality of the fan base here before you decide to come and rant.

Try again Sid, try again. You are ALWAYS welcome here, and we are ALWAYS interested in any opinion you wish to post, whether we agree with it or not. Just grow up a bit and you'll fit right in.

Edit: it occurred to me if you want respect, you have to give it too, but you obviously are so very impressed with yourself you don't think you need to do that. I've been VP of 5 different companies, but I wouldn't wave that in your face - so you beat LeBatard, wow, am I supposed to be impressed? Good luck with that!

I'd also never say all of South Florida Phins fans are clueless b/c even though I don't live there, I still consider myself a resident of South Florida b/c I try and visit every year

 

not sure who the fu$# you think you are, but I can tell you this, I will never tune into your show when I move back to miami this year...I promise...my knucklehead intelligence tells me thats the best way to get you back...I recommend a boycott by all the rest of our knucklehead brothers and sisters...

Maybe you should grill Brandon Marshall, afterall no one but you deserves a second chance(or in your case 5th).

Why don't you try being a part of this community before you rip it. There are many knowledgeable members here and if you took the time to pay attention you might actually learn a thing or two about this fan base. We don't care where your loyalties lie as long as you remain respectful and approach us knowledgeably. It's a shame that this market draws such short sighted reporters and media personalities. Know your audience and and you wont be so surprised when you try to pull the wool and we don't bite.

Just ask him who is so smart and you'll get all you need to know. On the air, out of his own mouth, he insisted that JETS fans, and NY fans in general were sooooooooooo much smarter than Dolphins fans.

News flash Sidly, most of the smarter Dolphins fans don't listen to your radio show, and if they do, they have enough common sense to know that you're on the air rants are only done to get a rise out of Dolphins fans so they'll call in and keep listening.

The second I herd him spew that garbage out of his mouth, it was off the air he went.

I mean, it's not like this guys show is teaching any of us anything so to miss hearing him, and his tripled ratings (lmao), is like missing your mother in law.

Funny how everyone here was jumping on the Sid bandwagon when he agreed to promote this site for free on his show. All this back and forth bantering is ridiculous and should be above what thephins.com stands for.
Just my two cents.

 

I don't know who Sid is, and I have no idea whats going on.

 

I haven't really read the thread. I don't think the reactions against Sid have generally been very appropriate though.

At the same time it was clear as I was listening to Sid's interview with Omar Kelly and then later what I heard Sid said about asking Brandon Marshall if he's ever done anal, that Sid had already made the decision that he didn't want to interview Brandon Marshall. That's just honest. At that point, Sid was hoping for this reaction from the Dolphins or from Marshall, and he was sabotaging his own interview.

I can understand why. Sedano had already gotten an interview. I don't know who flipped out at Omar Kelly's retweeting about the Sedano interview but I thought it was very childish that Omar felt he needed to kiss Sid's @ss so thoroughly during his interview in order to make up for it.

So Sedano had already done an interview, Big Dog had already done an interview, and heck even NFL Network got in an interview, and Sid Rosenberg still hasn't gotten his interview. At that point, based on the bland answers that Brandon Marshall was giving, Sid Rosenberg's being the 4th guy in two or three days to interview Brandon Marshall had very little value. Very little. So Sid set about sabotaging his own interview. Be honest about that, Sid. You said you were going to ask Brandon Marshall how he felt about Darrent Williams' murder, you joked about asking him if he's tried anal. You can justify it however you want but the fact of the matter is that because of the postponement of the interview, you needed to do something different. And inducing the Dolphins to step in, or getting Brandon himself to back out was at the very least different.

I've listened to Sid's interviews. He doesn't stay true to his own promise of always reaching for those tough questions. To me that's a little bit of a copout. Rather than be 4th place for a mediocre interview, Sid decided to make waves by sabotaging his own interview.

The fact is we shouldn't be burning bridges. Sid offered to promote this site and did. I stayed out of the last thread that prompted his response here. Despite his occasional outlandish behavior, that thread should not have sunk to the depths that it did.

I suppose when he starts promoting forums that compete with us we'll have another bashfest.. This site could have gotten some good PR and free page hits down the road, but after this week of fiasco, we pretty much burned the bridge with Sid and probably 560.

I'm not one to kiss *** or excuse poor behavior or taste, but within the context of what happened, the response went overboard.

2 cents and Rush, I got mad respect for both of you, I apologize for losing my temper...I don't think its a reflection of who we are...I think its a reflection of us protecting our house, and our players, from people who disrespect us, and them...

Whatever happened and how it went down, I for one am glad that Marshall did not have to go on that show and endure negative questions for ratings from a host that cares nothing about him, or us...

 

we gave him the benefit of the doubt when he came here and said his peace, and promoted the site we love. of course people would say "ok lets support him if he supports us" now for no reason he comes here starts a thread for no purpose other than to bash us fans.....we arent gunna defend outselves? gimme a break bro!

 

From an outsiders perspective who posts only on a few threads they find interesting, and uses this site as a way to keep up on current events with my favorite team/discuss the team itself, this is the kind of thread I typically close immediately, and ignore. I would like to think that this sort of pissing match isn't really necessary.

How did this thing get to 6 pages, and not just buried and ignored?

I guess it is the offseason though.
