    For lack of a better analogy the Heat seem to be "peaking" at the right time. NY was the favorite for two years, then fell off with crappy play. Chicago flashed and became the favorite a month ago and now less than 72 hours away the Heat is the leader.

    The toroise wins the race.

    Boston won a couple years ago with the three big strategy, and Wade/LeBron/Bosh is a bigger three than Garnett/Perkins/Allen. LA just won with a big 2 1/2, and again, Wade/LeBron/Bosh is better than Kobe/Gasol/Bynum.

    In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a Wade/LeBron/Bosh team only features two of those three on the court at any one time. Establish a rotation, keep everyone fresh, reduce the likelihood of injury, and still win 60+ games with one hand tied behind their back.

    Raja will come for the minimum as has been said. Our draft picks plus ring chasers plus scrubs will fill out the roster for the minimum.

    This is all dependent on us actually pulling off this coup of course.

    Problem is, if the Heat lose Haslem, they have no bangers in the paint.

    DWade can play the point, lose Haslem unless Pittman is some sort of Supra Rookie, the Heat will be a shooter/slasher team with few points in the paint.

    Please no Lebron. I like Bosh bc we need a big but Lebron is just about attention, he isnt a competator like Wade is. He doesnt have the drive to be a Champion.

    But with that being said I think Wade has enough drive for the whole team and we would win a Championship. But I think it would be cheapened a little by the presence of Lebron.

    What you saw was a second year coach get a notorious malcontent Que Richardson buy in and bust his ***. Get Haslem to come off the bench and have a great year. Get Dorrell Wright to finally contribute. Have the Heat be the #1 ranked defense in the NBA while winning more games than any "expert" said they would...except of course...Me..who predicted 47 wins on the button.

    We have one of the best young coaches to come around in a while.

    Any team with Wade, Bron, and Bosh would lead the league in Points in the paint.

    Anyway..this gets pulled off and Haslem signs a Bird rights deal.

    A Big three like that has a gravitational pull....

    the ring chasers just fall in line.

    Anyway..the last thing you want is a post player clogging the lane with Bron and Wade on the team. Bosh will give the team it's post play...no need for anymore.

    You want shooters for those guys. Score 110 ppg, play the signature Miami Heat defense..and win championships...that simple.

    He got Q to bust his ***... and thats why I should want him as my HC to lead a championship contender? Getting something out of DWright is the reason? Haslem being a team player is nothing new.

    I like his D section... but "what I saw" was that he has no ability to adjust his scheme to fit his personnel. What happens if Wade/Bron/Bosh dont fit in his scheme. Does he shrug his shoulders like he did last year?

    I'm sorry... but to call him one of the best young coaches to come around in a while is a completely undeserved compliment, especially since all he has to his name is having a good D.

    Don't fit his scheme?

    His "scheme" is the same one taught by Riley for the last 30 years.

    He also got a decent season out of JO...

    and again..47 wins. you cannot gloss over that. NOBODY in the media predicted it.

    He is one of the best young coaches..because...he just is. His record speaks for itself.

    Come on Sect, the Heat finished the season with a cupcake schedule, you know it and I know it.

    When the playoffs came around JO and every player aside from Wade, Q, Haslem and Beas packed it in.

    Again. Everybody plays the same schedule. 47 wins. period.

    Before the season it was..."Won;t make the playoffs....35 wins..."

    Then it was..."40 wins tops and the 8th seed..."

    then they win 47 and get the 5th seed and it was "ah...cupcake schedule."


    Same schedule....the beloved baby Bulls won how many games? Lost by how many points to the heat at home at the end of the season?

    Charlotte played the Heat for the 5th seed...what happened?

    Milwaukee played the Heat for it as well..what happened?

    All of that was in the last 2 weeks of the season.

    Honestly, it doesn't matter who plays DH12. He could average 35-20 in the playoffs, and it wouldn't matter against that lineup. And this coming from an Orlando fan. It truly is frightening as a fan of a different NBA team.

    The gatorade kid. he will foul out by the end of the 1st quarter after trying to defend Wade and Bron driving the lane all game.

    For good measure....he will probably have to defend Bosh in the post.

    Who defends Wade? Who defends Bron? LOL!

    Dwight Howard...LOL.

    Tell you what...check out what Dwight Howard did vs. the Heat last season...check it out..it will be instructive.

    I'm not a Bulls fan...at all..however the weak final weeks schedule does make a difference which is why the Heat were drummed out of the playoffs by the Celts.

    Which is why the Heat roster consists of what..3 players under contract?

    The Heat has 3 players under contract by design. What have we been saying for the last 2 years?

    The Heat was hardly "drummed" out of the playoffs by the Celts.

    They played them harder than Cleveland or Orlando did for that matter.

    Exactly...had they played better than the Lakers in the reg. season...game 7 would have been in Boston.

    Look back at the champions from the last 15 years.

    How many teams other than #1 and #2 seeds do you find?

    Yes but I'm having trouble figuring out who Riley would want as Byron Scott, Michael Cooper and AC Green. I'm pretty sure he would want a well rounded team.

    The list of guys that would want a one year minimum deal to play with Bron/Wade/Bosh...win a title and increase their value..is very very very long.

    The Heat already has the bottom of the roster in Beverly, Varnado and Butler.

    Chalmers and Pittman are rotation players.

    You need 6 more.

    Wade, Bosh, Bron make 3.

    3 to go.

    Haslem, Raja Bell, and Dorrell Wright make up the 3.

    Roger Mason is another minimum guy that I would explore.

    So you have this hypothetically:

    Starters:

    Chalmers
    Wade
    Bron
    Bosh
    Haslem

    Bench:

    Bell SG/SF
    Pittman C
    Wright SG/SF
    Mason SG
    Butler SF
    Varnado SF/PF
    Beverly PG

    you also have options like Anthony, for the power rotation.

    The Heat can conceivably have last years bench while adding Lebron James and Chris Bosh. What is there to worry about?

    seriously, any team with bosh, wade and bron is hands down winning the championship.

    you could fill out the roster with q-richs, arroyos, wrights, bells, beverlys, magloires it really doesn't matter. anybody with a scrap of nba talent, would all of the sudden be a "glue guy" next june. pick up goofy *** nate robinson and he'll be a champion. see if brian skinner needs work. it really doesn't matter.
