If Lebron tells Cleveland he's not coming back, I think you can consider this a done deal. And with them possibly hiring Shaw to coach, IMO, that makes us even more appealing.

Since everyone else is doing it, I may as well join in...

    - Dwyane Wade (Max)

    - LeBron James (Max)

    - Chris Bosh (Max) (via sign-and-trade - Michael Beasley)

    - Mario Chalmers

    - Joel Anthony

    - Dorell Wright

    - Raja Bell (vet min)

    - Earl Watson (vet min)

    - Kurt Thomas (vet min)

    - Ben Wallace (vet min)

    - Roger Mason (vet min)

    - Jarvis Vernado

    - DeSean Butler

    - Patrick Beverly

G - Earl Watson / Mario Chalmers / Patrick Beverly
G - Dwyane Wade / Raja Bell / Roger Mason
F - LeBron James / Dorell Wright / DeSean Butler
F - Chris Bosh / Kurt Thomas / Jarvis Vernado
C - Joel Anthony / Dexter Pittman / Ben Wallace

I'd really love to find a way to keep Beasley as a Lamar Odom type off the bench, but I really think Bosh will command the absolute max by signing the contract with Toronto. MAYBE LeBron and Wade has talked him into signing outright though, because Michael Beasley... Michael Beasley WILL develop if he's got talent like THAT around him. Make no mistake about it, when he's on the floor with Wade he's the second most talented player. When he's on the floor without Wade, he's the most talented player. I'd like to see what he can do in a limited role... see if winning can boost his confidence. Who knows... Bosh said he'll never play center, so if Beasley because REALLY GOOD... perhaps he can net us a top notch point guard in the future.

Also, say what you wonna say about second round picks in the NBA, but Pat Riley had a **** of a draft! He got himself a center with starting potential, and a top notch shot blocker. Of course we won't forget about DeSean Butler's potential if/when healthy.

Chris Broussard is such a.... ugh.

I just saw him on "Breaking News" Sports Center (you guys probably saw this much earlier)... "Miami is now the front runner for LeBron James. Chicago still in the mix. If he goes to Chicago, Chris Bosh will go with him and Carlos Boozer will join Wade in Miami.

Where does he get this stuff from? Does he realize that he's been calling LeBron to Chicago a DONE DEAL for a good week or two now? I think he called Bosh to Chicago a done deal too.

    ESPN HAS NO SOURCES!

EDIT: "basketball" sources that is... Sheft is the man.

On the flip side if Broussard's "if" turned out to be correct (by him guessing of course) it's possible that I'd jump off a bridge... literally.

To go from this type of hype to Carlos Boozer would be heart breaking. The definition of.

Can we please just wait and see how it all plays out? Don't trust anyone. Anyone. Just sit back, and relax. You'll get your superstars, just be patient.

Listening to Badman was like trying to decipher a code while writing out the translation in hieroglyphs. But he was pretty badass.

Man, the more I think about this, the Heat might just steal the limelight from the Fins. That's unheard of in this town.

Over/under on the ESPN suicide rate if the Fins and Heat both make deep playoff runs this year? I say 20%.

So? Does that mean every player fits Riley's scheme? Of course not. However, Riley possesses the ability to make adjustments to maximize the talent he has.

And, I CAN gloss over 47 wins... pretty easily actually. Mike Brown is a terrible coach, and he led his team to the best record in the league 2 years in a row! lol. How did he do it? He had LeBron. We have Wade. Who cares if nobody in the media predicted it? That makes Spo a good coach b/c the media got it wrong? (like they do constantly about things?)

I'm sorry Sec... but "he just is" isnt a good enough argument, lol...

While I don't hate Spo and am fine with gicing him the chance to coach this all star team, it really is a no lose situation.

If things aren't going well mid-season, Riley comes down. If Riley for health reasons or whatever can't do the job full time and commit to it for several years, do you really think we'd have a problem getting any coach we wanted? Larry Brown, Phil Jackson, any college guy including Coach K. I just don't see it being a problem.

And you have got to love Broussard and Greenberg still desparately making Chicago's case on Mike & Mike this morning. Broussard goes against his own reporting to state "Chicago still has a chance!!!!!"

SAS is going to prove to be a genius on this one.

Even if they all go there I will consider Stephen A Smith the biggest idiot in the media. This is the same guy that has been saying for three years that LeBron was definitely going to NY no matter what.

He is a good coach, dude. If he wasn't, I would say so. He is not my boy, or my drinking buddy.

More importantly, Dwyane Wade thinks he is a good coach.

But, you haven't argued a single point I've made as to why I don't think he is a good coach?

Do you disagree with the points I've made?

Yes. I disagree on all points.

I have argued the points. Coaches are judged by their record and team performance.

Getting a team to play defense in the NBA, while managing egos is really the only job a coach has.

Every team has the same offensive playbook.

ESPN has also jumped on the NY / Chicago bandwagon and is almost compelling Lebron to sign with either of those teams..

I can wait for David Stern to pull a Juwan Howard on the Heat and strip them of Lebron and Bosh once he concludes that the Heat tampered with their contracts and had them collude to accept less..

Don't bet against Stern. He has already burned us once.

Anyway...those cheap bastards in Chicago...NEVER spending into the luxury tax are going to attract the super friends?

BS. They have to resign the ballhog in a year or so..and Noah won;t come cheap. They will get one decent guy and call it an offseason.

We on the other hand have a great owner that routinely spends way over the luxury tax threshold and actually gives a ****.

The ball is in Lebron James court now. Bosh is ours...imo.

Section, what happens if we cut Beasley? Does it give us cap relief? Or does his entire number get included against the cap?

There was a summit and that is fact. Too many people in the media from different outlets actually saw the summit taking place. It's also fact that Wade and Bosh attended DJ Irie's party together (no signs of LeBron).

Wade's reps are covering his *** as far as the player-player tampering rules are concerned. People have to remember that these players are still currently under contract with three different teams.

Still believe that Bosh to Miami is a done deal and sealed... LeBron, not so much. Miami, Chicago, and Cleveland for him. I still think he goes back to Cleveland.

Thanks for the info HD. I think only loyalty keeps LBJ in Cleveland. I can't blame him for that and would find it admirable in a way, but basketball wise, staying makes the least sense out of the 3 options (CHI/MIA/CLE)

There has been too much smoke the last 18 hours or so. I think Pat has played this perfectly. We get no mention at all until this news breaks less than 48 hours out. I think the backtracking is because the team wants to keep it closed down as much as possible. This info was not meant to get out. This is not WWW blabbing his mouth to get his name in the papers or Maverick Carter searching out microphones.

You can't cut Beasley. Too much of a payoff. Besides, he has value. Likely to go in a S&T.
