You trade your cap space for the player. Basically..you trade nothing for Chris Bosh.

They then turn the trade exception as a piece they can trade or keep to avoid paying luxury tax.

it is very valuable to teams that are above the cap.

Is it possible that we can get Bosh, JJ and David Lee?

Lee wouldnt be worth a max deal though.

What I love most about the idea of James and Bosh in Miami is how its exposing how biased the sports media truly is. The media accepted and promoted the "Chicago is the best destination" nonsense for far too long and with such voracity that now they can't backtrack, they WON'T backtrack.

Interesting... LeBron is hosting all these teams on Thursday, yet Miami and Chicago are meeting with him on Friday.

Yep..his secret? Find the next sucker you can bend over in a trade.

Bryan Colangelo has a pretty good reputation, but he is being made to look like a moron in this.

What I can't believe...well I can given today's moronic NBA management as a whole..is that Pat Riley, having done these kind of wheeling and dealing as he's known for, continues to get away with raping teams time and time again. It's amazing Riley can still do this in this day and age. You'd think teams would be smarter...but then again Pau Gasol got traded for Kwame Brown.

It's not about the casual fan, it's about the TV ratings and ticket revenue. A Milwaukee Bucks Finals game would generate as much ticket revenue as a Knicks preseason game.

Schefter has more credibility reporting on a sport he doesn't cover than bucher/broussard, etc

Woj still reporting that Heat are very much alive
for LBJ despite his tweet that Wade is focusing on big man first.

Of course that hasn't stopped the Chicago fans from declaring victory on RealGM

Stringer, who do you think causes jumps in TV ratings? Casual fans. If people who only follow the NBA in passing see "Wade/Bosh/LeBron vs Kobe-led Lakers," they are going to watch it. Period.

True, however keep in mind NYC is the largest NBA market with the largest megaphone to create casual fans and the Knicks being a lukewarm franchise.

A Knicks game can reach millions of more TV's than the Bucks could ever hope to reach.

Good thing the only relation the Bucks have to this topic is an attempt at creating a strawman. We're talking about the Miami Heat here.

Rick Butcher is talking on ESPN right now about how it appears that a sign and trade for Bosh is in agreement with Miami.

He looked SOOOOOO MISERABLE!!! It was hilarious!!! lol

I don't think so. It's not like Knicks have been on tv more than the Cavs the last few years. In a star driven league, it's about the stars. ESPN will show whatever team he plays on as much as possible.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Bucher is like the Japanese Soldier that surrenders 5 years after the war is over.

He reports that it "looks" like he is headed to Miami in a S&T.

    Nah...you don;t say?

    LOL!
