BTW, if that deal goes down ($16M TPE + TOR first round pick)... essentially, Pat Riley moved Shawn Marion & Marcus Banks for Chris Bosh and Jermaine O'Neal. Wow, that's just full of win.

 

Two nuggets this morning.

First Israel Gutierrez on Sedano basically confirms Sec's source that the "Dream Team" scenario was Wade's idea and he is the guy who has gotten it to the point where the Heat are amongst the favorites. Riley had not even considered the idea until recently and if we get LBJ, it's because Wade made it happen.

Second, Mike Wallace in the Herald is reporting that Wade has already received 2 proposals from the Heat; 1) the normal max and 2) the "Dream Team" contract which would start him (and Bosh at LBJ) at $13-15 million which they can work out amongst themselves.
