Sad he would give up his kids........and she would use the possibility of exposing them to it as leverage.

    Well away from here
How much is he actually worth though?

As far as the kids go, unless you can prove she was not a decent mother in light of your misdeeds, you're gonna have a hard time winning that portion of the battle. Give her a house or three and go from there.

That's what a divorce is.....you pay, and you know you'll pay.

Not sure Con, but in the article it says Elin thought he was worth around 1 billion.....and the lawyers dug up all the assests he had obviously worth much more.....so if she got 750M.....what Con like 3-4B......? I mean how much of the estate is she entitled too....its usually 50-50, and in this case maybe Tiger kicks in a little extra cuz of what he wants....

she cant even say anything even if he dies....crazy

MODS--Please move this to "other sports" sorry......I gaffed

Yeah, especially since they found out Tiger was worth more and doubled the money Elin made.

Think about it, Tiger has paid $750 mil to have sex with 17 girls, thats over 44 Mil a girl.

Yeah, because she was the one out there cheating on her partner with anything that moved.

Tiger has no one to blame but himself. No one.

750 million is a huge, huge amount of money, but the last figure I saw from SI when they ranked athletes had him making over 100 million per year, and thats just the money they could count. In reality its probably more..... So yeah, the dude is worth a LOT of money.

I think the only thing she can't buy is an aircraft carrier.

The brand new ones. The old ones she can still afford.

Now that he's free to bang strange again, he might go on a streak. He just has to embrace it.

Then again, he's probably a bigger target for exploitation now.

Dudes been through all of this and is playing bad by his standards and is still posting top 10 finishes in tourneys and majors. No way he never wins a major again he's too good and now that this is over with he can start to fully move on. Maybe he won't win one this year, but he will win again.

I didn't mean it to come off that way at all, I apologize. What I meant was when everything came crashing down on him and all the negative media attention it's pretty easy to see why he was struggling. He has still been able to maintain a tour level of play that would normally be considered good, but because he's Tiger it's looked at as playing bad. I just personally don't think he's that far off from being Tiger again and dominating.

His own fault dude. He did the misdeed, not her. Should she be awarded that much? Thats debateable but I only wish it was my problem :wink2:

It ain't even about that. He had multiple affairs going on simultaneously. He wasn't going to be faithful no matter what.

The number was ridiculous, yes. But he's got nobody to blame but himself.

    Bit off? It's ridiculous.

She doesn't deserve half no matter what tiger did. She got 750 PLUS the kids so she's probably going to get another 5 mil in child support a year.

I don't get the "she's getting too much" debate. They were married, he was part of a family unit. Yes he's the bread winner, but she could have theoretically had her own more lucrative modeling career if she had't left the business to be a mom.

Any way you shake it, she was part of his family, and was a support to HIM, which would help him focus on making money. He was marketed as the all american guy..the good guy that we all cheered for. His "happy family life" was a huge part of that image, which is where he gets his kings sum from.

Elin (like every other part in a divorce) made a commitment to help support him (and vice versa) and the success he's had has to at least in part be attributed to her. I see nothing wrong with the settlement.

Losing half of 1.5 Billion is a lot easier than losing half of 50K. I don't feel sorry for Tiger, but I'm glad she got that much from him.

"Deserve?" She didn't deserve to be humiliated by a scoundrel who treated her worse than a worthless piece of furniture by what he did. And, the fact is, everyone knows the deal going into marriage. Tiger is no dummy. He is intelligent and educated enough to know the rules. Not like he was a 5th grade educated bumpkin who came into money and then got ripped off by a gold-digger. He went to Stanford. He knew the rules going in - that if he played around and got caught and she divorced him, it would cost him a fortune.

Typically, it's a 40-60 or some times 50-50 split. Even if there was no infidelity she would have gained a big chunk. But, given his behavior, it's to be expected that this would be the kind of settlement reached.

But, I know a lot of people who would be glad to have half of whatever his estate was.

I liked what Jim Rome tweeted today:

and, on the agreement that she remain silent about everything in their relationship:

i think the hole thing is ridiculous. you dont deserve money for being cheated on. she just learned too late that she picked the wrong person to marry and have children with. happens to other people all around the world every day. none of them are getting 750 million dollars. im sure they also didnt livish the lavish lifestyle she must have.

i do agree she deserves some financial support to raise children and probably start a new life, but 750 million? that makes her richer then some countries doesnt it?

if you cant live out the rest of your life with 10-100 million then you are obviously an idiot that doesnt understand the value/concept of money and should never handle, spend or receive any.

90%, or more im sure, of the population will live their entire lives and raise families, never having made 1 million dollars. and i dont mean they wont save that much. i mean they wont earn that much in their lifetime through all their years of working/earning.

how do you justify giving some one 750 million dollars of some one else's money because the conductor doesnt want only her on the gravy train for the rest of his life? he has the right to be unfaithful, she has the right to leave him. i dont believe anyone has the right to take that much of his money and give it to her simply because their relationship didnt work out.

750 million is more than you'd have to pay if you killed hookers, not just slept with them, I mean this cannot be serious, Tiger really cannot be paying this much to a gold digging baby sister. Dumbest man alive if this is true, absolutely the dumbest man on the planet. He had to have a prenup and really everyone knows he did all this stuff, why the hush money? What was he really doing?

The girl was an aspiring model working as a nanny for a golfer, she really didn't give up that much to marry him. She deserved a ton of cash, I mean could anyone feel bad for her if she walked away with like 60 million? Thats winning the lottery and more money than she needs in a lifetime. Not to mention he'll be supporting his kids with millions. I mean theres just no way to justify getting that much money because you married someone, our legal system is messed up.
