This is really good (MIA) or really bad (CHI) or really irrelevant ("rumor has it")

More accurately, LeBron probably made up his mind to play against Wade and Bosh.

Okay, "King." You keep recruiting jobbers to play in Cleveland, Wade and Bosh will help Riley use the extra cap room to sign better pieces.

I can't wait for the Heat to beat the Cavs in the playoffs. Annually.

And if LeBron decided on Cleveland and Wade/Bosh decided not to trust Riley can build a team that supports a better cast than Rose/Noah?

I'd be worried but I don't take anything Jalen Rose says seriously.... when has he ever broke a story?

and the war has been joined.

    I told you so.

The "King" has a big ego. Wade is really naive it seems. he really thought Lebron was going to walk under his shadow.

Don;t wanna roll? fine. We roll right over you.

Seemed like it was related to Chicago since that's what they were discussing. They were all throwing out that Wade was leaning toward Chicago and those were the reasons he went to the 2nd meeting because he wanted answers before committing to them.

I wouldn't say Wade is naive, just that he thought LeBron would make the pragmatic decision. Guess not.

But that's fine. LeBron will get bounced from the playoffs every year with such routine that you can set your watch by it.

"Oh, the Cavs lost a five game series again? Must be Wade o'clock."

I can see Wade maybe being a little skeptical of Riley only having 2 dudes on the roster right now. But he's had YEARS to think about all of this and formulate a plan. Pat Riley isn't the Knicks, he will not botch this if Wade commits himself to the Heat.

At this point I'm only slightly worried of Chicago and that's because at this moment they have more pieces than Miami does in place. However, I do have faith that Pat can build an amazing team and I'm sure Wade and Bosh see that.

The Elephant in the room is that Wade takes Bosh with him to Miami....and starts to build a team....

Lebron will then go about building his own team. If he goes to New York..he can make it formidable. If he goes to Chicago..it is a latteral move. (if he goes alone) He goes with Boozer (Boozer takes less) then you have something.

    he goes to new York.....

Heat - Knicks uncool the cold war.

At this point it seems like he'll stay in Cleveland and take the extra money... and Cleveland still won't have the talent evaluation skills or cap room to build a good team around him.

IF Cleveland does in fact resign Lebron, how much cap space do they have to sign anyone whatsoever?

It's Cleveland. Of course the GM will be incompetent. That seems to be a hiring law there. (Though Heckert might overturn that one day.)

    LeBron is Barkley 2.0.

They have NEGATIVE cap space. (over the cap)

they need to trade players to get better.

I understand the more money, the loyalty blah blah blah. He's taken that team as far as they can go and they need to get worse to enter the next season? If he's truly looking to win I just can't see how Cleveland is even in the discussion..

If you guys wanna beat the cavs annually thats fine but its very possible that the king will be playing in NY as Amar'e is now heavily recruiting Lebron and Tony Parker...

'Amar'e Stoudemire, who is nearing an agreement with the Knicks on a maximum-salary free-agent contract, feels that he can bring LeBron James with him to New York.

"He's also texting Tony Parker about teaming up," Alan Hahn of Newsday wrote on his Twitter page.

Hahn maintains that Parker is interested in relocating to New York."

Rose deleted the tweet but says it was 100% concrete.... he deleted it because he checked the box to include his location or whatever. Still not buying it. Remember he's a Bulls guy.

We'll see what emerges tomorrow.... if Wade is serious, then you know Riley is going to go for the power move.

What if Wade commits to Chicago- Any chance in hell we can lure Lebron to Miami and bring in Amare / Boozer?

I know this sounds crazy.. But if Riley has convinced Lebron that Miami is the place to be, and if Wade and Lebron can't co-exist and Wade is considering moving to Chicago, why not offer Lebron the whole enchilada and let Wade go?

WAKE UP EVERYBODY!! It's too quiet in here.

You know it's bad when you have dreams about free agency. I just had a dream where I was walking around in a public park, and in one of the gazebo's I saw Chris Bosh signing a contract with the Celtics (!!????). Then later I was in a room with a bunch of people and he walks in and sits right next to me. I mention Miami, and he pushes my face to the ground and starts laughing.

Either this is a premonition....or I just have some really f***** up dreams :D

For everyone bashing Cleveland - you have to remember that it was LeBron that brought all these guys in. Ferry didn't want Shaq. LeBron wanted Shaq. Ferry was willing to go into this year keeping enough cap room for another max FA and LeBron wanted him to sign Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon.

LeBron signing short contracts and demanding the team stay competitive handcuffed management. It is easy to blame Ferry but Bron's ego is a huge part of the problem.

The Heat took the last year or two to tank and build for this offseason - the city of Cleveland couldn't do that because LeBron was flirting with New York the entire time. If we had seasons like the Heat - the media would have CRUCIFIED Cleveland.

Our owner is more than willing to spend over the luxury tax - so while we don't have cap room, we are more than willing to take on bad contracts and we have a bunch of smaller expirings.

This is the problem with signing LeBron - if he does a short deal, he will put so much pressure to win that the franchise is often forced to make short-term moves that hurt the long-term (see: Shaq).

I agree Cleveland gave the keys to the franchise to LeBron, they've done everything they should do to keep LeBron, Cleveland still has a good team for him to go back to if he wants to stay, one that can contend for a title. Cleveland tried to win and somehow in the middle of this free agent mess thats looked down upon, as a fan I want a team that wins not one that throws seasons down the tube to get a lottery ticket and hope they get a free agent to come there. Some of these teams are going to miss out on the real franchise players and get nothing for years of losing.
