I really don't want to trade Michael Beasley at all. I said what I said during the season out of frustration just like with Spo. He's 21 years old and simply hasn't been given a fair shake. There is no reason to include him in a trade where he isn't even the centerpiece. Keep Michael Beasley unless you absolutely have to move him in order to secure Chris Bosh.

 

Interesting strategy by the Knicks. Court the most coveted Free Agent of all time by making him sit through a business meeting.

If he didn't fall asleep, he deserves a medal.

 

I would think that with all the attention the NBA is getting Brett Favre will call a presser for some reason.

Too many teams have the money or the trade bait to pull in more than one of the mega stars in FA this year, the players know this, and also know they make more money if they are 'the man' with their respective teams.

Dream Teams come together later in careers, like the 90's Rockets, when the players are over 30 and the end is near, that is when they really care about "legacies".

I suspect Bosh goes to Houston, Wade and James stay home, Amare' takes the NYC MAX offer, and 2010 NBA FA is more of a dud than a sea change.

 

Bosh to Houston is impossible, IMO.

Wade will not stay in Miami without Bosh or at the very least Boozer.

If it's Wade/Boozer I would honestly prefer to rebuild.

Eh, you can live with Boozer, but they need a shooter.

Boozer/Haslem/Wade...not bad, not a Dream Team, but a solid core.

I don't buy this 'Raptors won't sign and trade' nonsense. There's no reason not to S and T if you're Toronto.

It was obvious that free agency would go down like this. Too much hype not to drag it out. Basically we don't know any more now than we did on Wednesday.

 

They can all do it, it's just Cleveland as an orginization doesn't want to make it seem like they helped Lebron get away. He is their hometown hero and they wont give him the max to ship him off.

Remember resigning with your old team for the max is like 30 million more and an extra year.

 

It depends - Bosh has plenty of options to go sign and is obviously not going to return to Toronto. Taking a trade exception or getting some young pieces makes sense because even if they don't S&T him, he will just go to a team on his own accord.

In Cleveland's case, Bron only has a few options. If he wants S&T to a team that can't outright sign him, there is no point for the Cavs. Plus, even without Bron, the Cavs are so close to the salary cap that their trade exception would be minimal and any talent would probably just hold them back from tanking and trying to reload through the draft.

He's going to use this as the main excuse why he leaves so he doesn't look like the disloyal POS he will be if he leaves.

The child custody aspect feels like some sort of speculation-based justification for Wade talking to Chicago in the first place. Stability is tough to achieve in joint custody regardless if the parents are in the same town or not.

I'll be very surprised if Wade signs with anyone other than the Heat.
