2010 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

Joey Chestnut set the record with 68 dogs last year.....this year, no Kobayashi in the tourney.

Will he break his own record...will the next closest competitor be within 10 dogs of him?

ESPN now....

 

With 1:30 remaining Joey is at 48 dogs (way off record pace) - but he doesnt have to be

next closest is 38 dogs

 

Boring really since no record pace makes it a cake walk without the pay off

 

I guess the HEAT was over bearing to many of the competitors which slowed down the pace.

Kobayashi was absent over APPEARANCE money issue, etc.
