Danielson isn't back. The prevailing wisdome is that they WILL bring him back at some point.

Misterio winning was a shock as I expected either Swagger to retain or Punk to win if there WAS a title change.

Sheamus winning further supports my theory that you aren't truly a main eventer in the WWE's eyes until you win multiple world titles...which he has now done. Hopefully they don't neuter him like they did his last go round.

The card seemed rather...blah all around. Looks like Jericho might be taking some time off soon. Between his new game show and music, he looks like his schedule might be lightening up a bit on the wrestling side. Just my opinion.

Speculating. Over the weekend the WWE ran a poll on Facebook whether they should bring him back or not and fans were chanting his name at the close of the PPV. Between these two things I think it's almost a done deal that he'll be back, it just makes too much sense and there's too much money being left on the table if they don't bring him back. Vince is a business man and if he can make money off of something he will.

Are they going to do anything with Evan Bourne now? I mean, would it be too much to actually put a title on that man?

I'm assuming you're wondering about the NXT attack on Vince last night? I didn't see RAW last night just read the results but I guess things were a little confusing. I think they were trying to strongly hint that Vince McMahon was the mastermind, the one who was behind the attacks of Cena, CM Punk, Lawler, Roberts, Bret Hart etc only to have the NXT turn their back on Vince and attack him too. The problem, as I understand, with the segment is the fans started to cheer the NXT group because they were beating up Vince, instead of booing them. Apparently it was a pretty confusing segment because of the fan reaction and I guess the NXT guys really didn't do a good job selling the angle, they never went from 'happy to see Vince' to ok it's time to turn on him, so Vince had to go a little over the top in selling the attack. I also think we were to assume that Vince was the 'shadow GM' hence him hiring the NXT guys. I'm sure things will be explained next week though.

Side note: one thing that continues to annoy me about the Sheamus character is he's suppose to be a tough guy but continues to dodge fights, last night he ran through the crowd when the NXT guys showed up. I understand that he's a heel but even CM Punk took his beating from them. Of course there are now strong rumors that Sheamus might take over the NXT group as their leader, since he's never getting attacked by them and always getting away, so if he does become the NXT leader I will forgive the WWE over this but if he doesn't he can't keep ducking fights like this.

Oh I didn't read that part. I guess it could have been an act. Interesting though if it's not Vince.

I think the group (now named "Nexus") is essentially coming off as a bunch of capitalists. They got what they wanted (contracts) so they have no reason to be mad at the boys in the back (hence the apologies), but anyone who stands in their way will get their asses handed to them.

I also didn't get the vibe that Vince was turned on, but more that they closed in on him and destroyed the boss. Afterall, it was "management," that they railed against. The best guess right now is that HHH is the new GM, but who knows.

Daniel Bryan being the GM would be pretty damn interesting< but I wouldn't hold my breath.

As for Sheamus, I think I am okay with how he is being portrayed. He came out and had a great promo with McMahon to start the show last night, and decimated Cena later in the night before the Nexus attacked. If their plan is to keep him a heel, you really don't want him taking on 7 guys at once, since that naturally leads people to cheer for the single guy.

So having him run away is actually a better option I think.

Interesting with Triple H being the GM, I didn't think of that one. The obvious choice would be Daniel Bryan but like you said you wouldn't hold your breath.

I see your point with Sheamus but I still don't like it. I'd rather have Nexus let him walk away without them attacking him than him running. I just think it makes him look bad since he's suppose to be a tough guy. He's been ducking guys ever since he first won the title back in December. It doesn't help his character.

Meh, all WWE heels do that though. They avoid the fight, take cheapshots and are opportunists. Its how they choose to try to get heat on the bad guys, good or bad.

I think the only reason Punk was out there was because it was a fan vote. I think they fully intended for Rey to win that one and thus, have a beatdown next to Cena that week. The fans screwed up their plan I think.

With the Nexus turning on Vince,I got the impression that he was set up by the GM in connection with Nexus. Vince thought he was in good with Nexus but they were just fooling him to let his guard down. Also,Vince gave the full ultimate authority to the GM so the GM would not have to worry about punishment from Vince. I think Vince will come back as a face with a returning Triple H(if he is not the GM) to take care of Nexus and the mystery GM. As to who the GM is some have said they think it could be Cole also even though to me that would be weird. Should be an interesting RAW next week. I heard The Rock was coming back sometime during summer, but that is way reaching and I doubt he would be a GM.

In regards to Sheamus dodging NXT,I think it makes him look like a smart heel in a way. He used them to win the title and is just picking his spots and knows when he is outnumbered. As a heel how would Sheamus benefit by standing by the top face in Cena helping him fight off NXT? Even after he helped fight off NXT with the roster two weeks ago,he helped clear that up with the backstage interview stating his intentions were only to help benefit himself to the title. Also Punk tried to help fight them off because they attacked him and Gallows first and was only trying to do right by the SES,if they hadn't he likely would have run also since he couldn't care less about Cena but they went after SES so he stepped up.

Just ordered Chris Jericho's DVD set coming out in September and the Best of RAW Seasons 1 & 2 (1993-1994) coming out in August. Although the Jericho set match listings haven't been announced outside of an Ultimo Dragon match Jericho had in Japan, that Paul Heyman saw and gave Jericho an ECW contract because of that match, I'm sure it's going to be an awesome set, especially since there will be a documentary style set and not just straight up matches. The RAW set looks solid too. Say what you want about the WWE but they put out some great DVD sets.

It's about time they put out a proper Jericho DVD. That will be a must buy for me for certain.

I'm making my way through the Hart and Soul set and thus far it's been highly entertaining, though not necissarily the most hard hitting of journalism. Highlight thus far is the Steiner Brothers/Hart Brothers match ... have to say it was incredible, despite a horrible finish. Pretty crazy to see Scott Steiner actually use the Screwdriver in an American match.

I'll be picking up the most recent HBK and Undertaker sets as well ... as well as the Ricky Steamboat DVD out tomorrow. Several of his classics (vs. Savage, WM III, vs. Flair summer of '89) are repeats, but it's still nice to see him get a nice set like this.

I didn't pick up the Hart DVD, rented it via Netflix. I would have bought it but I had pretty much all of the usual good matches on other DVDs or VHS, minus the Steiner Brother match which was incredible. It's too bad that match is rarely seen.

The main issue I have with WWE DVDs is the repeating of matches (which is bound to happen, I mean how could you not put the Steamboat/Savage match on a Savage, Steamboat or Best of IC matches DVDs?) and pointless short RAW/Smackdown matches (like The Rock and Austin DVDs had on them). I'll probably just rent the Steamboat set since I already own most of his best matches via the Flair and Savage DVDs.

I do own the newest HBK DVD and while I do like the set, it's not as good as the other 2 sets but that won't stop me from buying the 4th set which I'm sure will come out around the time he gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, I just wish they put in his RAW 93 match with Jannetty (not the one on the Best of RAW 15th Annivsery match up- which is great too). I have zero interest in the new Undertaker DVD as the match listings just look weak.

I do hope that the WWE continues to release the Best of RAW series as well as Best of WCW Nitro, Clash of the Champions, Saturday Night, maybe even some old WCW PPVs or at least more Best of PPVs like they did with Starrcade. Obviously the same with ECW. They just have so much footage they can use, I'd love to spend a full week at WWE Headquarters and make my own DVDs.

Sam, no that list was confirmed to be false. Some random Amazon.com buyer posted that and it's already been shot down by multiple sources, before of course almost every wrestling site picked up that match listing and reported it. The only things confirmed are that it will be a 3 disc set, there will be a documentary on disc 1 and an Ultimo Dragon/Jericho match from Japan will be on the set.

I do wonder if Benoit will be mentioned during the documentary because of how important he was to Jericho. Obviously this is still an extremely sensitive issue for the WWE so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even mention him or maybe just a passing line about how Jericho was inspired by Benoit's matches. I'd be shocked if any Jericho/Benoit matches were on the set, which is too bad since they had some great matches.

I just think it's too obvious it's Austin now with that quote. I'd think that they would want it to be a big surprise with the GM revealing himself with a lot of build up and with an announcement that the GM would be revealed at a certain RAW/event to get a better rating.

For whatever it's worth Steve Austin has been off Twitter for 6 hours now, but it could just be the WWE asked him to stay off during RAW for them or he just isn't on it because he's busy.

Its not Austin. Although he DOES have a movie coming out in August, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up on Raw or something to promote that.

It is clearly a red herring. No way they calculate a reveal like that. The Rock or osme other superstar form the past will be quoted next week (unless they want to drag the Austin ting out a tad further to try and throw people off).

I wouldn't be surprised if they even use a Hulk Hogan quote or two to try and confuse some of the fans.

As for the show, I didn't see it, but it redas like it was chaotic, which...if done properly, makes for a good show. If done poorly, it comes off as bush league and amateurish.

Apparently the Elimination Chamber DVD set that came out yesterday includes a match with Chris Benoit in it, which marks the first time since his death that he's been included in a match on a DVD set. It will be interesting to see if a match including him will be on the Jericho DVD. I'd love to see the Benoit/Jericho vs. Austin/HHH tag team title match from RAW and that match might make some sense since Benoit would only be 25% of the focus in that match. We should be getting Jericho's match listing in a few weeks so just something to keep an eye out for.
