Wade has a 4 PM presser scheduled according to ESPN. They also say Bosh is willing to sign outright.

    Brendan Haywood time.

LeBron is irrelevant unless he puts a Heat cap on tomorrow evening.

He has been pessimistic all along.

heat inner circle Mocked Lebron to Cleveland from day one and that has not changed.

Any other decision by Lebron will be a surprise to them.

The fact that LBJ/Wade/Bosh are having a conference call now AFTER the fact that this has been reported.... wow. It's not like they're calling him to tell him they're decision and stance. He can see that very clearly for himself.

I think he stays in Cleveland..

Horrible PR.. Can you imagine the bars in Cleveland watching a 1 hour special where Lebron announces he is leaving to the Knicks? The cries heard around Cleveland will be broadcast over and over again... It would make Lebron look like a heartless prick... On the other side, he can have his moment of fame while praising the city of Cleveland and saying he is in it for the long haul..

All I know is that the balance of power in the NBA is firmly in the East now.... Wow.. Miami, Boston, Cleveland (assuming Lebron stays), Chicago (espec if they can land Boozer) and even the Knicks are going to be good... It is going to be an exciting 2010/2011 season.

If the purpose of the conference call was to lay down an ultimatum, I think Wade and Bosh were too late.

Time to forget LeBron. Pleasant surprise if he announces he's coming to Miami, but at this point, put it out of your mind. Focus on pieces to surround Wade and Bosh. Haywood, Miller, Korver, Bell. Resigning Haslem becomes a priority now. Dorell Wright probably deserves to be on the roster too. Beasley becomes expendable in an S&T, maybe for Haywood, unless Haslem becomes the starting SF.

Lots of directions to go from here.

If they're pessimistic about LeBron coming to Miami and have mocked him staying in Cleveland, why are they waiting? Serious question.

    The Key now....

Shooters. Even before getting a big man.

Talk to Utah for Kyle Korver...talk to Mike Miller. Talk to Ray Allen.

    That is priority #1.

    then move onto Haywood.

Not that I care because he's staying in Cleveland, but laughable nonetheless.

I still think LeBron isn't coming here, but he's not essential. He was a considered a bonus but Bosh was the guy we wanted and realistically could get. Bosh has been set on coming here for a long time. I'm not expecting LBJ to leave CLE and somehow they'll find a way to build around him. Maybe next year they go for Melo?

Riley believes in his presentation and what he has done is enough to lure Lebron.

We are touching bases with everybody anyway. we can wait. Miller, Korver, Haywood, etc...are not going anywhere. it is just one day.

Nothing against you specifically HD, but can we stop quoting Man-Girl and Meatball? They offer NOTHING to any show or event they appear on or at. I refuse to watch the season-opener MNF doubleheader because M-G&M are in the booth for the west coast game.

    Wade/Bosh/scrubs earns a 3 Seed at worst. 55 wins.

We were a 5th seed without Bosh...now WITH Bosh we will be worse?

Those real GM idiots from Chicago deserve getting shut out.

We just won around 52 to 56 games. We are championship contenders.

So it's a matter of caution, then? Alright, I can go for that. You don't want to commit to other guys and suddenly run out of money to sign LeBron with. Understandable.

Still, you'd think if LeBron has reached a decision by now, word would have reached Riley one way or another, probably through Wade. Or... has he decided to come here? If so, then the TV event makes no sense, because he's rubbing it in to Cleveland.

Congrats to Miami for landing those 2 guys, not being a huge NBA fan, even I know that this makes them instant contenders....

What a truly great summer it has been for the City of Miami.....Marshall, Dansby, Bosh, and Wade....hahahha Section how much money is that altogether?? You are good with numbers...

I cant believe ESPN is holding a program to announce where Lebron goes.....ummmm vain...

I really hope this ends up being an outright signing rather than sign-and-trade, regardless of LeBron's decision. Keeping Michael Beasley is such a huge bonus rather than saving an extra $4.9 million in cap space. He can really flourish in a Lamar Odom type of role and at perhaps bring us a stud PG, SF, or C via trade in the future. It's nice to have a trade chip like that. His value is at an all time low right now and can only go up, IMO.

Good point Sec and this is the proper approach.

Riley can stay out of it. Give Wade and Bosh the next 24 hours or so to see what happens. If they are successful, great. If not, we easily move on to Haywood amongst others. It will be easy since we landed 2 of 3 biggest fish.

Like you're fond of saying. We truly are the hot girl at the bar.

Heck, I can answer this one.

Just in guaranteed money you're looking at about $250 million. Wade gets about $120m guaranteed, Bosh about $90m, Dansby $22m, and Marshall $24m. Toss in the non-guaranteed money and you're looking at $300m.

Toss in a Canes squad that looks to be on the rise, and Miami is suddenly one of the hottest sports towns in the country. (Sadly, my Marlins aren't a part of that upward rise. Damn you, Bozo the Art Clown.)

    Beat you to it.

So I'm guessing you heard it live (saw it on Twitter).... any other specifics given? It's sounding like Wade & Bosh are speaking together.

This is going to be an interesting marriage. They fell way in love prior to the engagement. When we lose they're going to fight over who takes the blame.

Just an ESPN News break blurb saying Wade had a 4PM conference scheduled. It's probably a joint conference, yes.

Riley is god, but Isiah Thomas is still GOD.

Ah this is awesome, I was planning to avoid twitter and the boards all day, glad I decided to check anyway :D

So the plan is to wait on Bron? Can't Dwade and Bosh sign as soon as the clock hits midnight? Will they wait til the show or they'll know before?

Also thanks again Sec for all the great info.

Free agents can start signing on the 8th, I believe. Wade and Bosh will almost assuredly know what LeBron is doing beforehand, but probably not until a few hours before. If we pull the trigger on that Portland trade before LeBron's show, then we'll know he's not coming here.

SWEET MOTHER! I'd do that deal with or without LeBronze.

Rudy Fernandez can shoot the lights out and Andre Miller is not done yet. If you sign Brendan Haywood...

    G - Andre Miller
    G - Dwyane Wade
F - Rudy Fernandez (EDIT: why did I think he was 6'8? And I've watched him play a ton)
    F - Chris Bosh
    C - Brendan Haywood

    Do it, Riles. Do it.

Chris Broussard's top 5 destinations in order for LeBron:

    1. MIA
    2. CHI
    3. CLE
    4. NY
    5. NJ

Says there's a little "gap" between Miami and the rest. Really believes that's where he lands.

I hate Broussard but to his credit, OTHER THAN SECTION126, he did break this story.

He's going to turn it into Bosh not wanting to go to Cleveland because he (and everybody else in the league) doesn't want to play with LeBron! I just know it. And that's why I'll watch it. Skip is the biggest LBJ hater, but he's passionate about it so it's damn entertaining.

My guess: Randy Pfund has all but won the GM job there and has made it known he'd want Beasley on the team.
